Can you see the liner on the bleached coral speeds through the shorts? I have those pink shell ones and haven't worn them such because you can see the liner :(

I never liked these shorts based on how they look on most models. From the back, they look like they give a person saggy butt! :( I have always passed on these shorts--plus, I don't like the lines across the bum! in my opinion, NOT flattering!

i need advice regarding the size of the speed shorts(i really want to order the bleached coral ones). i have a pair in size 8 and they are a little loose. i ordered another pair in size 6 and they were way too tight. do the sizes vary depending on the color/pattern if the shorts?? the sixes that were too tight were the mint moment striped ones. any advice appreciated, i have to order online since i do not have a store near me. Thanks!

The bleached coral speed shorts seemed are TTS at least for the 4. it is also 4 way swiftly. the color is really nice and no I did not notice the liner showing through.

@Erin- it depends on the color/pattern :( I have some basic solids and they for great in my normal size 4. I ordered a 4 in the SHS print and they were tiny! Way too tight. I returned then and found a size 6. The 6 is larger than I prefer, but they work. I just ordered the mellow lemon ones and got a 4 and a 6 and will return whichever doesn't work. Sucks though, it's a pain and I wish they were just consistent!

Erin - I share your dilemma with the speed shorts and vacillate between a 6 and 8 (even though I am a 6 in everything else Lulu). There are two different fabrics used with the speed shorts, one is stretchy and forgiving, the other is stiff with almost no stretch. The bleached coral appear to be the softer stretchy fabric, so a 6 should work for you if you like them fitted (but not tight). The mint moment is made of that stiff material and I sized up in that pair from a 6 to an 8. Hope that helps!

OT: I saw the gingham dune Forme jacket at my store the other day, and I would have snatched it up so quickly had it been a define. Ugh! Why, why, why!? I refuse to buy these cheaper versions of Lulu jackets that were so awesome. If the new, redesigned versions were more appealing in anyway, then I would concede and stop complaining about the lack of defines (1st world problems, much?), but they just suck in comparison. I'll just keep using my Target brand white athletic-style jacket until Lulu makes something worth replacing it. Side note, I like the polar cream define that came out this winter, but I didn't love it for some reason. This dune version- I LOVE the color. Oh well, my Lulu gift card from Christmas is just waiting for the right products.

Erin,
In my past experience of buying speed shorts, I've noticed that the solids (or color blocked ones) have 4-way stretch most, if not all, of the time. The new solid bleached color speeds are 4-way and just a bit stretchier. The speeds that have patterns (striped, chevron, gingham) are normally 2-way and not as stretchy. Hope this helps!

Anon Jan29 '13 at 8:38PM The bleached coral speeds are a bit sheer, imo, and you can see the liner. I bought them anyway.

@ Erin, the issue with Speed Shorts is that they are made of either 2 way stretch (stiffer material) or 4 way stretch. Unfortunately LLL groups all the colours together and when you're on line shopping, you may not be able to tell if they are 2 way or 4 way. I myself wear a size 4 in all LLL bottoms, includeing Speed Shorts, regardless of 2 way or 4 way: I prefer the stiffer 2 way stretch.

@ anon 4:13 What are you talking about re: Speed Shorts and saggy at back? Ah no, not at all, not if they fit properly. Speed Shorts hug. A line or other colour seam across the back, where the materials meet, is a non-issue if these shorts fit properly. Obviously every article of clothing does not work for everyone.

The only problem with SS lately is LLL is messing with the liner size, texture and sometimes odd colours (esp. under a lighter coloured short). Liner is baggier than in the past; this is possibly due to feedback. I've worn SS for years and prefer a more fitted liner. However, having said that, my most recent 3 pairs from last year with the looser/baggier liner are fine. Short still appears fitted on me from the outside, and the liner does not chafe or otherwise bug me.

Why lulu do you insist on making the same shorts in two very similar colors? And haven't we seen the light pink speed shorts before? I swear there were two last year too. Variety please.

@Erin - the printed ones tend to run tighter, I've noticed. Some are two way stretch and some are four way stretch. The two way stretch are usually the prints but not always (the flare are two way stretch). I read on a board that the beached coral are four way stretch.

Well now I'm disappointed. I bought a bunch of bleached coral items online but if this picture is the true colour then I don't like it. It will look awful against my pale skin -Jenn

The bleached coral is the same pinkish color as a the inside of a conch shell. looks good on the speeds not on the swiftly tank. I like it but I have pink and orange overload. The 2 way stretch seems to be used in the pieces which have patterns. solids tend to be the 4 way.

I am loving the bleached coral color and love speed shorts (though like many mentioned I feel I am between sizes with them and really need a 7), but the lighter colors show sweat like crazy in the summer in my experience and I just can't bring myself to wear them, especially when you can then really see the liner.

OT, gave in an ordered the Mint Moment Run: Reflect Pullover in my usual 6 b/c I really do love the color. And the color was fabulous and I liked the material a lot, but the fit was a nightmare. The chest part fit okay (a lot of the reviewers were saying they sized up bc it was too snug), but the bust seam kinda stuck out and seemed like maybe it was a smidge too high for me, then the body just bagged out throughout the midsection for the bust seam down and looked dreadful. Some of the pics of the educators wearing it looked so cute I had high hopes that maybe it would work, but alas, it is going back, and I am a wee bit bummed since I love the color so.

Since we always share tips on here, I thought I would share something with you all! :) Im always on the quest to find the perfect bra. Even tho Im a 34 D-DD Im not a lover of high support bras, unless I must wear them for exercise and have to wear high support. I don't like super tight bras, I don't like underwire, I don't like bras that bind you down. Ive tried ALL bras from Lulu and most I find...squish me in or give me the dreadful uni-boob!! (I have tried and tested, all the major brands including Victoria Secret)

If I finally find a comfy, low-support bra for lounging, I bend over and fall out of the bra! LOL... In fact, the only Lulu bra that I can wear, is the old Flow Y bra. I like it a lot, but don't love it, because it gives me somewhat of a uni-boob look. Even going up a size, I look squished in, but then the band is slightly too big! A few years ago, I found a gorgeous hanky panky lace bra which I loved, but now they are nowhere to be found in that model.

The other day, I stumbled across the most WONDERFUL, COMFY, simple bra, with adjustable straps! I bought one in size L, for $28! Loved it so much, went back and bought a few more! It's made in the USA, soft like butter, low support, no underwire...but its almost like you don't even feel like you have a bra on! It separates your boobs, so no uni-boob or side boob! In fact, it's so simple, you just put the bra over your head and adjust the straps. Im so in LOVE and Im sharing this with all of you, because Ive read many ladies are looking for the perfect, comfy, low support bra! Seriously, If I could, I'd buy 20 of these! :) It's online at Aritzia.com and it's called the "Wilfred Amoureuse" bra! $28 and made in the USA!

Allso, if you see something online you like, but your size or colour is gone, you can call their 800 # AND their customer service will do their best to search for that item in-store and if its available, they'll call you back and tell you and offer to get that "item" shipped to you! Excellent quality and EXCELLENT customer service!! I LOVE my new bra!! :)

Yes!! Very thin. I tried them on today and passed on them. I like that they are 4 way stretch but way too thin and you can see the liner, felt cheap to me. Hope that helps:)

Can anyone who's been to the Woodbury Commons Lulu outlet tell me about what's there? I am mulling a trip up there from Long Island and want to know if it's worth my while, or if it'll just be a train wreck of crappy/ugly/low-quality items that are already rotting away on WMTM.

Would really appreciate anyone's opinions or tips!

I know LLL produces a lot of version of pink but I'm never really into them (and pink is flattering on me). I stay away from the bleeders too. I have one other pink CRB (heathered one) that I love. I picked up Bleached Coral today and really like it. I think it is one of the more special pink tones.

Heathered coal (? correct color) Still Pant not at my local store yet so I didn't buy a new pair yet. That's the only one I want. I have black, absolutely love them. Clearly customers are happy that the Still Pant is back: all sizes were sold out in store except size 2 and 4. It's only mid-week!

I looked at the Inkwell Gingham CRB in store tonight. I was expecting to be disappointed by the material as others had explained it was more poly and like the ziggy material from the summer. I actually was not that turned off, I think the material is better than the ziggy stuff and in general it's a good looking CRB in this colour.

However, I didn't have time to try it on to confirm it was good/tts as my other CRBs and what the material actually felt like. I'll probably go back to try it on.

I have been twice (summer & Black Friday weekend) and it had an interesting selection of WMTM items plus other staples at lower prices. For example I found ride on pants and blazer almost 6 months after they disappeared from online, so if your didnt get a chance to buy online and regretted not purchasing then itsworth it because it is even cheaper (sale hot yoga shorts online for $39 were $20 in stores). I went on Black Friday and all tanks were $20, got a few CRBs). I recommend liking their Facebook page because they post pics of items added to store, the stock is very old (4 months or so ago) and you don't really find WUs or staples like that.

I'm in the anon who asking about the liner showing through. Thanks everyone for the feedback! The color is so tempting but i have those pink shell ones and am very uncomfortable wearing them due to the sheerness issue. It just means i'm saving my money for the next cute pair that comes around! :)

I went there on New Years Day this year and they had a decent selection of stuff. They had studio crops in a few smaller sizes (saw someone had picked up a pair in bordeaux - so jealous!). I saw a lot of milky way stuff too. They had venus tanks for $9, lots of tanks and shirts and whatnot. Also in the front of the store, they had a bunch of hot yoga type shorts for $19. Also saw navy striped tracker shorts and breath of fire skirt/shorts for the same price. I only ended up going home with a $59 pair of the old groove crops (still made in the US!)

@ anon 6:20 pm - I've read comments that the Gingham CRBs are fitting snugger than most and people are not sizing down as they usuallydo. They seem to be especially snug in the bust area.
