Aussie Heads Up - Gros Gingham & New Colors
Cute new plaid - gros gingham - in new colors - Mellow Lemon, Bleached Coral, and Frond in Speed and Groovy Run shorts. I am loving the green! The tops are new, too. Looks like a tweak of the Please Me Pullover.

No thank you! They look like teeny bopper or children's clothes.
I hope we get some nice tank tops or pullovers in that green!! It's what I've been waiting for!
The gingham is way better than prison stripes and shitastic color blocking. Run shorts should be colorful and fun. So far, I am liking this much better than anything that's been out since the end of summer. I am loving that green. I just ran the Disneyland Tinkerbell Half marathon and Frond is totally Tinkerbell green.
Really not a fan - looking for jewel tones and pretty/funky patterns. What is with another bad pullover? It's like they can't help themselves from giving another go at hipster hoodies!!! This is lululemon - make a live simply, DSJ, Sing Floss, Travel. For the love!
LOVE IT!
This is much more my style. Love all three shades, very spring appropriate and cheerful. I find the gingham print super sweet.
Trying to decide if I should order the Burning Yellow CRB, or hold out for Mellow Lemon...
Yuck.
I love the colors... and the plaid print!!! I'm 32 and don't think this look is too young for me! They will be mine! Yay :)
I really hope there is more green coming up! I feel like that is the only color I am lacking in my lulu collection!
jill
Classy with a Kick
I agree better than the junk out right now but reminds me of aeropostale 2 for 20 summer shorts
Love that green too; those tops they can keep however. I sure hope they can make some longer length like the crb tank in some other tops sans the super curved hemlines- won't do the 80's baseball hemline- hideous makes my rectangular hips look it the cut away of fabric on that part of the hip not good imo
YIKES!!! these are bad!! LOL.... (And this coming from someone Im her mid 20s) DISLIKE!
i would not wear these. honestly, i don't think anyone out of high school should. again, these are the colors/styles that are popular in higher fashion(i've been lusting after a white/yellow checkered LV bag), but booty shorts in these prints are just a NO for me. i wouldn't mind some solid items in these colors though.
I generally like gingham..I just think the scale of the print is wrong for the speed shorts. A giant print on tiny shorts is not so flattering.
Green doesn't look great on me but mellow yellow looks like something I might be interested in..burning yellow is too orange for me.
I love the green ones with the grey sweater too! Might pick up a pair of groovy runs in this colour.
the colors are cute but the patterns and the pullover? Seriously?? Are we sure this isn't a preview for Ivivva? When will they learn? That Please Pull Me Over (and get this darn cut-off sweatshirt off of me -- with or without the tencel in the back) is just not a fan fave. Ugh. Solids please...S-O-L-I-D-S in these colors.
LOL! I'm 32 and I think these look waaaay young so I guess everyone is different :)
haha these TOTALLY look like Aeropostale or American Eagle....totally teeny bopper, totally NOT for me. I don't like them at ALL. To each her own, I guess. :)
Any fit reports on these new ebb & flow crops? How do they compare to the originals? Mine are pretty sheer when I bend over, but they're otherwise SUPER comfy. Would like to pick up a pair if these offer more coverage.
the amount of Frond Green I plan to buy will be legendary....
All of the flare/inkwell prison stripe mess can go to we made to much ANYTIME NOW so I can get my precious.
It seems like whenever a new print comes out people don't always embrace it right away. When coco pique first came out people said it looked like a 70's rug and it turned out to be one of the most popular prints of the season.
I love the colors, but don't care for the print. At 27, I'm too old to be wearing plaid. I hope the green especially comes out in some solids!
I do like seeing a green and a yellow, and would consider either in a CRB.
But ICK!!! on the gingham. Gosh, MORE ugly patterns and juvenile city!
I like the green, but can't see buying more than a few pieces. All three of these colors scream Easter m&m's to me.
Picnic anyone? That's what the speed shorts say in that gingham. Agree, teeny bopper print, and big print looks bad on the shorts. The only positive is that maybe we'll see some solids in the green and yellow. I'd take a CRB in Frond in a minute.
@ 3:58 so tired of people saying that a print is not embraced right way and "it will grow on you"...NEVER! I could care less how popular/trendy something is considered. Nothing needs to grow on me (and, it seems, quite a few people here). When I don't like it, I don't like it. It will not get purchased (it will not even get tried on), EVEN when it goes to wmtm. Whether that be color blocking, prison stripes (easy call), SHS etc. When it's hideous, the verdict is in and my money stays in my wallet.
I can't stand the direction LLL is going in.
They look like lady boxers. The material looks cheap and wrinkled. If they look like this on these adorable girls, what the hell are they going to look like on someone with imperfections?
I'm 33 and I think my 9 year old niece would wear this stuff. Cute but not for my "old" ass.
To the ladies comparing these shorts to:
Easter M&Ms - AGREE
Picnic - AGREE
lady boxers - AGREE
... so bascically if you wake up on Easter morning after sleeping in these shorts and don't have time to change because you're late for a picnic, you're all set!
They are cute, just too teeny bopper. I'd like a CRB and swiftly SS in the frond green!... actually, i'd looove a heathered define in Frond, too bad that dream is dead :(
Since when is being over 20 too old to wear plaid and fun colors?!? What a bunch of sad boring old ladies! lol
If you like the look I don't think it comes with an age limit :)
Definitely reminds me of Abercrombie or American Eagle. Love the color, but not the combo. I'm in my mid-20s, still don't need these.
I wouldn't mind a frond and mellow yellow (solid!) crb. I'll keep my fingers crossed...I always love adding to my crb collection :)
these shorts are HOT. I looove them. I can't wait to get them all.
I'm 30 and have plaid Lulu skorts from 3? seasons ago. The print was smaller though. If they scaled down the size of the plaid and put it on a skort I'd happily wear it.
At that scale and they do sadly look wrinkly, I agree with the Easter picnic boxers, but it's not because I don't like plaid or think it's too teenybopper.
I like all three colors and I even think we can get away with wearing outrageous and "young" running clothes at older (late 30s for me) ages. But I also think this giant pattern is simply unattractive. The green is so beautiful that I might buy the speeds and just return them if I hate the pattern as much in person. I wish I could just try them on but I live over 100 miles from a store.
Plaid/gingham, "HOT"? To each her own. Cute for teenagers. It's not that I can't wear them because I'm over 20... it's that the childish look doesn't appeal.
The green color is really appealing to me, in a solid I would get such a pair of shorts. They would make a great pair of slumber party shorts.

I think shorts look more like old man boxer shorts, I always associate plaid with old dudes, or rednecks.
