Upcoming Lulu Items

Another heads up from Australia -Ziggy Wee Gray pattern Wunder Under pants. I'm not sure if I like this pattern or not.

I forgot to post these the other day. They are new Trekanasana pants (I think I spelled that right). I seem to remember these popping up in a product alert from a store outside North America but I'm drawing a blank.

- lol no one has anything to say about these roos?!
(not sure why I've taken to calling leggings ROOS lately. . . )
-
well. .. I shall begin!
LOVE EM! nice high waist looking, have a sort of polocrossesque look! I DIG the ZIG
looking forward to quality comments!

I like that pattern. I'd love to see it in person. I think they can be worn under a dress with boots to work and then straight to yoga :)

Thanks for recommending BY roos Minda! ;) I got my first pair in white and they are super super soft. Off to buy a second pair!

I love the pattern on these. I don't wear pants, I'm a crops girl. So hoping for the crop version of these. Fingers crossed.

Minda said...

Nicole - I was imagining these ziggys looking good with boots and a dress too!

3crazykids! Surely! wash inside out! ooks like they are launching new maxi dress on their site- price looks reasonable but I'm not sure. . looks kind of thin and sheer. I can see the models chest right through!

@3crazykids - did you get the quilted white by leggings? Or reg white? How is the sheerness with white? I recently got the Navy and LOVE THEM!! I think the quilted is looks cool, but not sure about white...

Anonymous said...

ugly...... Sorry!

Anonymous said...

I LOVE! I agree they'd be great with a dress/tunic and leggings! Crops would be nice too :)

i love these!! my sister has a pair of wunders that are herringbone and they are sooo pretty with boots and a tunic/sweater, i think these look similarly fab!!

Minda said...

jessican88 i have white quilts - they are fabu!! big hearts and stars to the quilts both white and black. i think the quilts are less sheer up top.

I'm on the ziggy bandwagon- think these are cute. I might be joining y'all with wearing tunics and boots with 'em! I have yet to wear my WU's for anything other than workouts- seems a shame not to utilize them more, so this fall/winter I shall! I also think the Trekanasana pants would look flattering on. Like Minda, looking forward to quality reports!

Trikonasana pants are still available on the US side:

Not a new design, just new fabric. One review complained about the diamond gusset causing CT. really???

I've had the diamond gusset cause not camel toe but look unattractive with weird folds of fabric. I prefer the triangle and I will be sad to see it changed if it is.

Jessica88, I have the quilted and they are BEAUTIFUL. I have a gathered navy on the way!! I think the quilting covers up any minor bumps and is less sheer than the plain white from what I hear. Even if they were super sheer, every lulu tank as of recent would surely cover past my hips anyhow! :)

Anonymous said...

Ugly and not sorry about saying it. Good for me, saving $ and good for those who love it, because someone else will get her hands on the pair I won't buy. So we are all happy campers!

Anonymous said...

Has anyone checked out the new stuff on the Splits website, looks fun!

The close up of the WU reminds me of tweed, kinda nice.

We are all going to look so awesome this fall!!!!!* HIGH FIVES*

Ok, not trying to be debbie downer. Promise. I like the new ziggy print, but does anyone else thing that the bum seam on them looks like the bum on ruched cotton Victoria's Secret underwear? I think it's the angle of the pattern going into the seam. If I'm going to get these, I'll either be sure my bum is fully covered or be doing some pattern-hunting. :)

Anonymous said...

Hope these come in wunder under crops! The print is nice.

Sourkraut said...

Eh, not loving these but then I'm feeling less urgency to buy buy buy from Lulu now that I've got a small stash built up. So if I can't buy any of their new prints I'll survive.

OT - Since everyone's been trading helpful tips on other sportswear companies, I figured you guys are probably also experts on where to buy some good undies for working out. I've tried the Foxy Lulu Hotshort and Groovy Girlshort and they don't really work for me. Don't stay put, which is annoying when working out. What I'm looking for is moisture-wicking with more coverage than a thong. Any advice?

Anonymous said...

hanky panky thongs....all the way!!! :)

Anonymous said...

Granny panties...from Walmart! They'll stay put, for sure!

Anonymous said...

OT: what happened to all the CRBs on the US site?

Anonymous said...

Love these! Classic, flattering, and different. I think the red are nice, but I am over the red bottom thing. Been wearing red J Brand skinnies for three years and now they are Everywhere! Over done-IMO.

The Scubas are back in store in Montreal, Canada and the catch me tank :)

Anonymous said...

LOVE that Ziggy print. I love it when Lulu does prints like that...I feel like it provides a little more coverage than solid colors!

Anonymous said...

Do not like the Ziggy print. Hoping to see more slub denims in fall.

OT: The "One for Om" leotard disappeared about 1 day after it was uploaded. Did it really sell out?? I wanted to try it, but had wanted to read reviews first. Has anyone seen it in stores?

I like the Victoria seamless panties in nude, also commando makes bikinis that are seamless. I just ordered some honeydew bikinis. I'll let you know. I like the lulu undies but they tend to dig in to my skin hence lines galore. Their thongs are nice. I wear as little as possible. I don't know about granny panties but I guess?!?
I too am ready for fall. I got some stuff from gilt and ruelala. My nordies stuff did not come in yet. I'll really be excited then. Yay us! I don't own any Ugg stuff but I ordered the scarf that's fox fur ( sorry to animal lovers). Of course I'll need it in Texas. Lol.
I love these tights( is it ok for me to call it that?). That's exactly how I'm gonna use them. Pleated skirt, boots. Uh huh.

I can't help thinking that the ziggy pattern is meant to be this Fall's herringbone, made funky for the kids. Imo, all of these last few patterns- the dots, blazer, now ziggy - have been so unsubtle. These patterns don't evoke my imagination like UT, SO, BB, and the very best lulu designs!!! I think I could warm to Blazer CRB if it has a print distribution like the one on the website.

Anonymous said...

OT: Anon 3:07 What happened to the CRB US?? Are they trying to make people buy racing lenght??? It won't work lulu- we'll just buy swiftly!! But good point- all of the "core" item like the scoop, power Y, CRB have been pulled back to the most basic monochromatic selection. What are you up to??

(Aussie site has a Currant CRB! It has 13 different CRB, 10 power Y's, 4 scoop necks +1 in WMTM)

@ Sourkraut
Exofficio.com
check out the give-n-go bikini brief.
These are my favs!!! They travel well too. When they say "17 countries. 6 weeks. One pair of award-winning underwear. (Ok, maybe two.)"
They aren't LYING! You can wash these on the FLY and they dry super quick. LOL Not that I'm traveling all over the place currently to need to do that. . .
but they rock.

Another brand I love that literally feels like heaven is HANRO. I see them on garnethill.com
I want to get the camis and other stuff too someday - but those just seem stupidly expensive . .. lol went to touch them at saks and I see why.SO SOFT. .. not worth 100 plus though for working out

The One for Om leotards are still in stock at the stores.

Sourkraut said...

Thanks for all the tips, gals! I'll be checking them all out. Well, all except the granny panty suggestion. Ha! I'm sure they'd stay put wonderfully but at what cost? I need to maintain some semblance of dignity here!

@Anon 3:36 -- My store had the Om leotards a few weeks ago, just after the upload. It was obviously not designed for the likes of me so I never gave it a second glance but there was a gal bravely trying it on and checking herself out in the big mirror outside of the dressing rooms. She was asking everyone's advice and even sent pics to a friend to get her feedback. I gotta say, she definitely had the figure to rock it. Looked pretty cute on her.

Anonymous said...

Thanks Anon 4:21 and Sourkraut for your tips on the Om leotard! I'm taking a road trip down California and I will just have to scour all the stores.

groovegirl said...

I like the Ziggy pattern WU. Will definitely consider these if they come in a crop version. Hopefully the zig-zag detail on the back will be flattering to the booty without being too attention grabbing. I had to pass on the Quiet Stripe WUs from a couple months back because I felt too self conscious to sport them at the gym. Sad, because they were super cute.

I have the herringbone WU crops from last year and they're my favorite non-workout/going out crops. Assuming this ziggy pattern isn't sheer and of similar quality compared to my herringbone pair, I'm in.

groovegirl said...

Regarding the OM Leotard - I was at the Studio City lulu on Monday and they had plenty in stock. You can call the GEC and ask them to check inventory at the stores you're planning to visit.

I think I'd wear these ziggy WUs, too, but probably would be more inclined to buy them in a crop version. I guess we'll see, right?

OT - can anyone suggest quality crops for hot yoga? Looking for something fitted and seriously wicking 'cause I sweat like a dude. I've tried WUC, Wunder Grooves and Astro WUC (bought and then returned) but all were see through in downward dog. Love lulu and would be my first choice if quality is there. Otherwise would love to know what you ladies are wearing to hot yoga. Thanks!

Anonymous said...

@ anon 6:30 PM - I wear WUC, Astro WUC (I know, they don't work for you), Dignity crops (wish they would come back!) and my current favorite, the Ebb & Flow. They are amazing! I sweat a lot in hot yoga as well (no judgment, but who are these people who do NOT sweat? Some of them are in my classes!) On the E&F: read the reviews and try them on, do the bend test at home in true daylight. All colors are not the same and some are sheer and some are not! The ones currently in the stores are no different from the ones on-line. Have tried them both (multiple pairs) and for me, the ones in store are the same as the ones I bought on-line. I have a slight sheerness issue with the E&F - not obscene! - which is solved by nude, seamless underwear. I have the indigo (beautiful!) and grey ones. They are so comfortable! You can keep the waistband up or fold it down (I prefer down). They wick amazingly!

Apologies to those of you on the board who have been subjected to the E&F topic before...I'm sure we'll get the usual amount of divergent opinions/experiences. Cheers.

I'll buy the zingy crops. They remind me of tweed pattern. I have 2 pairs of herringbone from last year and they are AMAZING- especially for casual wear with boots. They are brushed so a little too hot for the gym.

@anon 6:48 PM - Thanks for the suggestions. I loved the look of the Astro WUC and they seemed ok in store but were an epic fail when I bent over in broad daylight. Headed to my nearest lulu store tomorrow to try on the E&F. I forgot about them since they're no longer available on the Canadian site. They look really cute and I'm now dreaming of pairing the indigo ones with a purple NLT (eventually).
lol about people who do not sweat! (no judgement either so please don't wail on me). I go with a friend and she barely sweats. She wears cotton (!) and gasped the first time she saw a lulu price tag. They'd have to cut me out of cotton clothing at the end of a workout.

groovegirl said...

Love that, yogibabe=)! Hoping for crops in the ziggy pattern too!

Hey Anon 6:30, I have both WUC and Gather & Crow for hot yoga, as well as some very short shorts. my WUC are a fossil space dye, and I think the pattern helps camouflage my downward dogs. I've also been very happy with the Gather & Crows. I have them in Aquamarine, so hopeful they haven't changed them recently because they aren't see through at all, maybe because they don't grip tight on my calves, so they don't have to stretch down my butt at the same time they stretch across my butt! Ideal, I would have them hemmed because they are visually a bit long on my average height, but that's only a cosmetic flaw that I can leave at the studio door. My shorts are useless for arm balancing in Vinyasa, and I end up having to wedge a microfiber towel in between my sweat coated limbs. I initially thought that shorts were the way to go but that's been trumped by great moisture wicking fabrics. I love the Astro and Groove style, but they don't often get to hot class because the wide leg hem makes it harder for the instructor to see the alignment of my feet and knees, so they end up feeling my hips and legs just to make sure I've got my pose right. Denim WUC I found way to tight but they could work if sized up. The fabric is nice and thick. I was hoping that the Presence Pants could do casual-to-studio but they don't have a gusset at all. I'd really love to try the E&F!!

Anonymous said...

The model in the top picture is super fit, but those crops are digging in and causing all kinds of muffin top. It's not even fat, it's just the crops digging into her skin. I really like the astro and groove WUs because there's less muffin action going on.

Anonymous said...

Unrelated, I know we've all been waiting for the red jacket in the jackets preview photo. Do we think the bottom shirttail hem in the crops preview photo goes with that jacket? Same pose and same background? That would be a very different jacket than anything I've ever seen...

Anonymous said...

OT - I know the waistbands of the new Run: Inspire crops have changed - the height became shorter.

I'm wondering if any of the recent Run: Sun Sprinter that came out changed too? I'm really interested in the crops but not if they're going to be prone to muffin tops. Thanks in advance!

Anonymous said...

Good catch, 9pm. It does look like the bottom of the same photo. If so, I'm a bit disappointed in the jacket myself. Too long. Still cute though.

LuluAddict said...

@ sourkraut - Zobha boyshort undies. Love, love, love. I have a ton of Lulu technikinis and a few of their other styles but Zobha are my new workout underwear passion.

Anonymous said...

@ anon 7:24 PM, it's 6:48 again: I hope you get the Indigo E&F and they work for you! I'm the one who also recommended the LaSenza seamless and that's what I wear with the E&F, no show and no vpl. On the E&F, I think LLL says they are lightweight material...I would say they are thicker material. BUT I don't find them heavy or too insulating even when they're sweaty in hot yoga. Aside from the crazy "they're too sheer!" vs "no they're not!" experiences people have, they really are a fantastic crop. They stay put on me too in vigorous hot yoga - no waistband issues, no riding up from the bottoms/cuffs. I hope they make them in some more deep colors.

Another spot - looks like a Caspian Blue CRB under the purple Scuba. Beautiful!!!

Anonymous said...

@ Minda- I missed it- what are BY roos? I'm interested . . .

Just finished an online chat with an educator re: 'key features' for the new WUs stating 'diamond gussets'. She told me that "all the pants going forward will have triangular gussets" ugh!!! So we have confirmation. Looks like it's time to search for a new brand :-(

Anonymous said...

Thanks for the photos, especially the close up shot of the ziggy print!! Nice preview of what's to come :)

Sandra said...

I love my indigo E&F but mine do ride up in the calves... I normally wear a 0-2 in designer wear or a 25-26 and I got these in a 4 (smallest size they had). They look fantastic on! I do find the calves ride up when I'm running or working out intensely, even while walking up stairs BUT once you work up a sweat they kind of stick better so I don't mind having to readjust the cuffs on my calves in my warm up. They make my bum look bigger and perky which is a WIN in itself!

Anon 7/25, 9:22 PM: I bought a pair of the Sun Sprinter crops recently. They rise on these is great for me, they don't cause any muffin top! I did go up a size, as my usual size in LL bottoms (6) did cause a bit of MT as I started moving around and the waistband slipped down on my belly. Thankfully, the pants have that elastic-loop adjuster in the waistband, so if the 8s start bagging at the waist, I can tighten them right up. The educator told me to stick to the 6 because the crops are supposed to be compressive, but I tried each size on multiple times at home and ended up feeling much more comfortable in the 8s.

The crops have the triangle gusset (which works fine on me) and are not sheer. Good luck!

Sent you a note on another thread, but it's pretty far down now so I thought I'd send another one! :). Would you consider letting my buy the great WU you got instead of returning them? Thanks for considering! sara.granik@gmail.com

@ anon 7:38
oh sorry! LOL by roos . . I meant beyond yoga leggings.
lately when talking about leggings I've been referring to them as my roos!!
"I've got my roos on!"
It is kind of my joke on how I'm always running around in leggings like long under roos taking myself entirely way too seriously! LOL.

Anonymous said...

@ Minda- thanks for the info! I like that, 'roos' :-) BY is very cute- I'd like to give them a try. Love the wildflower color!! How do you find the fit? If I wear a 6 in lulu leggings, do you think I should go for a S or M in BY? Thanks for the advice!

Minda said...

anon 11:28 - they are soft and lovely. i have wildflower! so vibrant and pretty! if you are a 6 I would suggest the SMALL.
my friend wears 4 in lulu wu and wears the small.
- i wear 8 in lulu wu and wear medium.
they run big.the quilts are amazing - the gathers too! wash inside out- dry normal with other stuff!
I don't use them for things like running or high impact. . more of pure barre type things etc. =) sales on amazon.com or occasionally on their website!
good luckies!

Anonymous said...

@anon 7:29 PM - your comments about arm balancing and sweaty limbs are exactly why I'm shopping for crops! If a patterned WUC could work I'll try the Ziggy Wee Gray when it arrives here (hopefully in WUC). That looks like a pattern where people wouldn't be sure if your pants are see through or just too tight when you're bent over.
@anon 5:18 AM - I had to postpone my lulu shopping trip until tomorrow but glad it worked out that way since there's a La Senza store nearby. Will check out their no show line with the E&F to be sure. I'll report back over the weekend.
Finally, has anyone tried Zobha tops or bottoms? Saw lla's recommendation for their boyshorts and decided to check out the site. I'm tempted by the Perfectly Draped Tunic and the Cozy Hoodie....

Anonymous said...

@ Minda- great, thanks so much for all the tips!! I just ordered a pair of wildflower gathered leggings. They look awesome online, love the color!! Can't wait to get them in the mail =D
