Upload - Lots of New Things

I actually ordered something today. That is a big change from lately. I ordered the Run:Tame Me Tank. It reminds me of my Run: For Your Life Tank that I wore to the gym today. I was just thinking that I'd like to wear the RFYL to run in but I hate to double up on bras. The Tame Me is meant to be worn over your own bra. I was tempted to get the Flash version but I am a little leery of Flash luxtreme. I don't want to deal with bleeding issues.

I also ordered the Concord Grape Cool Racerback. Someone commented that the CRB was going to be solid Concord but it definitely looks heathered in the photo even if the text didn't call it that.

I also ordered the Flash Swiftly headband.

There were a few other things I might have ordered - the black visor and the flash hat but I have a ton of hats already and don't need more. I like the visor but I can live without it for now. I might change my mind when I see it in the store.

I thought about ordering the Run: A Marathon Singlet but I didn't love the similar Weightless Singlet from last year. I'll wait to try it in the store.

The Pure Balance tank is back. That tank was a major fail for me last year. It's way too open in the front and not supportive enough so it becomes obscene under the weight of my breasts.

The hair ties photos confirms that the new green is Menthol. It looks pretty close to Beachy Green to me, on first glance.

I am excited to get my new Tame Me Tank. What did you all order?

I'm disappointed both the CRB and In Stride in Concord Grape were heathered. I ordered the Pure Balance tank and NLT in solid Concord instead, and will think about the CRB.

i ordered the Pure Balance tank in concord grape and white. LOVE this tank!!! Thought the image on one of the pages was showing the back of a purple pure balance tank, and sure enough, here it is! yay!

Also, seriously contemplating the flash & concord V-neck swiftlys...

Well I started with 7 things in my basket, and then I got realistic:) I ended up ordering the black visor, the run inspire crops in the fossil and white, and yes I did it... I pulled the trigger on the Run wild jacket. I think in the wee hours, that I was so excited that it wasn't 178. that I managed to justify 138:(. I really hope that I love this jacket...stay tuned.
As a self admitted swiftly junkie, I was tempted by the V necks and the 1/2 zips but I need to consider which color and style makes sense. Had it been 50 degrees today I would have made that decision, but it was 90, so I didn't.

Anonymous said...

I ordered the v-neck Swiftly in Concord and the No Limits Tank in white/white wee stripe.

Had my eye on the Concord Scoop Neck, the Run Wild SS in Rose Quartz and the Inspires in the Black Wee Are From Space too. Maybe later...

Anyone notice the blue tatatamer in "porcelaine"? Is that a new blue color? I havent seen it around and I sure hopee it is!!

Anonymous said...

Has anyone heard of any color bleed issues with concord grape?
And has anyone heard of when the new vinyasa scarf might be coming out (in either flash or power pink)?

Anonymous said...

@ Focus LOL your comment put a smile on my face: I also was excited the Run Wild Jacket was not as expesive as we originally thought, that I ordered it right away too. And just in case the $138 is a computer error and tomorrow it'll be $178 for real!

I began with 21 items in my shopping bag, and just like Focus, tried to get real, but it was harder than I thought. Ended up ordering 16 out of the 21: Run Wild Jacket, black visor, flash runnig cap, flash mat strap, flash and UV swifty headbands, flash/concord/white PB tanks, sweat cuffs, flash/concord swiftly 1/2 zips and also both colors in the Swiftly V-necks, concord CRB and running Spirit tight II in Indigo.

Wow! There goes my whole April budget!! But my B-day is Friday so Happy Birthday to me!

Anonymous said...

LLA do you have pictures of the new white pants, Recognition and Groove? I think I might like the Recognition pants but it is really hard to appreciate the details and the fit on the white background on the web picture. I can't understand why they insist on photographing white on white!

Does anyone have experience with white Luon pants? are they see through when stretched?

Anonymous said...

Well anon 3:56, LOL my bday is Friday too -- but I only got the sweat cuffs in wee are from space April print. :) I'm holding out to see what the reviews on so many new items are... Im taking an "if I miss out it wasn't meant to be" approach. Wish me luck. Ha.

Anonymous said...

I got the scoop tank in Concord Grape, the Define Jacket in Concord Grape and the Grove pant in White Denim. Considered getting the recognition pant in white denim but already have a number of pairs of recognition pants but I do LOVE white !
I'll also considering the Tame Me tank, I like tanks without the shelf bra.

Anonymous said...

I got the wrist cuffs (even though the reviews are nt great, I am desperate for something other than the bottom of my shirt when I run!) I finally caved and grabbed a blurred blossom headband even though I was initially not in love with the print. I think it will be cute running. I also snapped up the flash swiftly v neck and to my delight Paris pink swiftly short and long sleeves have been restocked in several sizes so I got the short sleeve!!

Krystal said...

I ordered the Concord Grape define and the Concord Grape cool racerback. I knew this new purple would be bad for my bank account...

I am still in shock over the PRICE of the Marathon Skirt, I actually ditched my shopping cart and left the site.

Please, I AM a runner, someone tell me HOW you can justify that price for that skirt?? It looks like bathing suit material cut out with those zig zag style scissors then half assed sewn together.

No thank you, I will stick with my pace setter, or move to under armour before I pay that price for that skirt.

I need some help ladies, for those that have or have tried on these crops. I have wanted the white DSCs since they sold out last year, but now with the Yoga Camp crops, I'm not sure what to order? I *want* white but feel like the light color might be impractical (though the upload of DSCs is lined, so that's good), so I was then thinking maybe I'd get the YCCs in fossil. They'll look different enough than my coal DSCs with the lighter color and slightly different design, but I keep going back to white. The white YCCs aren't lined but I like the side cargo pockets, plus I'm worried about sweat show through (on all options) for the hot and humid months of summer. I don't have the funds available to order multiple pairs to try on & then return what I don't like, and I know that these are going to sell pretty quickly, so I'm just looking for thoughts if anybody has some to share? Thanks!

I ended up not ordering anything- I was thinking I'd get the Bliss bag in Quartz, but this morning I changed my mind- it is too big for my needs, as I don't plan on using it as a yoga bag. Too bad, because I really like the color, and love the option to wear it cross body.

Focus said...

Can anyone comment on the similarities, or differences between grapeseed swiftly material and concord grape swiftly material? Is concord just much darker and richer?

I got the No Limits Tank in Blossom. Was tempted by some other things but decided to quickly close the website before I got crazy. Also, I know it's been discussed before but seriously...can it be that challenging to allow someone to use gift cards and paypal in the same transaction???

yogibabe said...

Pure Balance tank!!! Yay! This tank is so flattering on me, but mind you, I am small (32A) up top. Like LLA said, it's too risque for those who are more endowed with the girls. At least not for workout, IMO. I've seen numerous "wardrobe malfunctions" with this tank, especially with poses that involves twisting. Ordered the concord grape and flash. Already have the white and black from last season, but may still order the black since this one is all SOLID black! Last year's model was black with heathered black on the bust, so the variation may justify duplication!
Also got the Run: Tame Me tank in concord. Will look cute with my blurred blossom Flow Y. And the last is the NLT in blurred blossom and fossil.
As someone mentioned above, I love the pretty blue "porcelaine" of the ta ta tamer. Hope it will come out in tanks. :)

Has anyone tried the white grooves yet? Wondering how see through they are? Thinking of getting the marathon crops too but not sure what color. I'm getting my white stuff your bra tank in the mail today so if it works I'll get the crops to match.

Carrie said...

Does anyone know the sizing of the No Limits tank? I want it in the blurred blossom but I can't find much info on sizing. If I wear 6 in scoop neck tank, would i wear 6 in no limits? I'm 114lbs, 5'4, 34B if that helps, thanks!

Anonymous said...

Carrie - I take a size 6 in no limits and I'm 5'4" 125lbs and a 32D. You could probably size down to a 4 since it is a bit baggier on the bottom but the bra part might be tight. It is a little tight on me.

Anonymous said...

@Carrie,
The no limit tank seems to run large to me. The bra inside is cut like a flow y bra, but seems much more loose. I am 5'7", 125 lbs and a 34B and the 4 is comfortable but almost too big. I reccomend sizing down.

Katie said...

I was tempted by the bliss bag and the pure balance tank, but have opted to wait and see them in the store. The marathon skirt isn't appealing at all, and I am in the market for running skirts! Much of that weighless stuff ended up in MD last yr. So, a $ saving day for me! 2 wks in a row now.

becky said...

Ok, so I just decided to stick with the white since that's what I've been waiting for, and was going to get the DSCs, but they're lined. That's nice for lack of see-through, but will they be too warm for hot summer days? I don't have a store near me so any feedback would be appreciated! White decided on, so should I go DSCs or YCCs?

Anonymous said...

I almost ordered the Pure Balance in Flash but noticed that all sales are final on that item, strange. So I ordered the PB in Concord Grape.

Anonymous said...

Becky - the YCC in white are super see through and I know (for me at least) they would show sweat. I tried them on yesterday. I could see my underwear through the pants and it wasn't modest. I also sized up to a ten from my normal size eight. I have muscular legs and am 5'11''. They are more fitted than the DSC (which I also tried on). I wound up buying them in black, though, since I love the zipper pockets and the pants are super comfy. I hope this helps!

Suzi @ confessions of a fitness instructor said...

I'm not surprised the concord grape CRB is heathered, I have the COncord Grape CRB from last year and it's solid so it make sense that this year's release would be a bit different.

I'm still considering the yoga camp crops but so far haven't bought anything

Anonymous said...

i am turning into the crazy flash lady. i ordered the run tame me tank in flash, 3rd tank in flash:) thankfully lulu doesn't keep the color consistent LOL

Anonymous said...

I am a huge huge fan of the pure balance tank, so excited it is back, I ordered the concord grape, thinking of getting the black. I have a coal one from last year. It is excellent for the unendowed. My 32a chest looks nice in it, I get compliments all the time and it is supportive enough and very flattering, I think I am talking myself into another one....

Kristina said...

I am soooo proud of myself today! I started off almost spending $270 and slowly talked myself out of everything but the run wild half zip since it will go with both my white/fossil speeds and my flash crops. Now to keep myself from going back to the website and looking at anything more or changing my mind!

Anonymous said...

I need some advice. I'm 5"7, 130 lbs but I'm a 34 E. needless to say when I run I have to wear two sports bras. I loooove the look of Lulu tanks but I can't seem to find one that supports my bust. I get kind of embarrassed when I wear tanks because you can clearly see I'm wearing two sports bras. Does any have any advice as for what would be a good, decent coverage running top for me?

yogibabe said...

@anon 8:12 AM
Spoke with my fave Educator in regards to the "final sale" of the Pure Balance in Flash. She thought that it is most likely an error on their site. Put a notation on my order so that I can still return/exchange it if necessary, (which is unlikely, since I love this style! But good for insurance purposes.). She will bring it to their attention and hope that the error will be fixed soon.

yogibabe said...

@LLA
Did you order your usual size in the Tame Me tank or size down, like CRB due to the "no bra tank" factor? I ordered my usual 4, instead of sizing down to 2 like I would with CRB, because the armpit seems to be cut high. Worried if the 2 will give me "armpit flab" from it being too tight. Hope the size 4 works. Any input, anyone?

Anonymous said...

I got the white denim grooves since I wear groove pants to work. Someone please let me know if you've heard rumors on indigo denim grooves!!!! I actually don't really think the texture of the denim slub looks like real jeans, but I think they will in white. Some brands add more texture to their white denim and I love the look of it. I don't think they will be too see through since denim slub has been very thick.

To anon with the 34 E's. I'm a 36 DDD, and I wear the tata tamer bra in 36 DD with the straps crossed in the back, and then I wear my Push your limits tank in a 10 over it. It's the only way I can run, and the straps line up fairly well. I wear the PYL tank without another bra for walking, yoga, and Zumba. The straps are so wide and comfortable, I want to wear them to bed!

OT Just wanted to share that I just found a website of someone who reviews lululemon items from the cycling line (Ride On).

http://lovelybike.blogspot.com/

She states lululemon sent her the Ride On Blazer and the Ride On Rain jacket for review. Here is the link for the blazer review (very comprehensive reviews for both items):

http://lovelybike.blogspot.com/2012/03/lululemon-ride-on-blazer-modern-take-on.html

I'm just surprised to find out that lulu does give some of their new items to bloggers for review. I had read somewhere they did not.

Thank you, Julia! :)

In regards to the bike line reviews. She may be an Ambassador. They do receive free clothings for a very comprehensive review.

I got the Concord Grape NLT the Ultra Violet Swiftly Headband the Concord Grape Scoop Tank and finally went for the flash wunder unders!

I have been waiting for more short sleeve tops to appear as I don't wear tanks- too self conscious of my upper arms/underarms :-|
So got two Run Wild SS in black and rose and the V neck swiftly in concord grape. Also got the define in concord grape and the every yogi tee in white (you can remove the black stitching fairly easily- still, whoever's idea that was in the design team needs their head examined!).

I am hoping that someone will send in a Menthol/Toothpaste comparison photo. I have a crb in heathered toothpaste and it ended up being unflattering for my skintone. I am hoping that Menthol is darker and has more green in it than toothpaste so it will work for me.

Anonymous said...

I think Menthol looks closer to Beachy Green (and caribe) than toothpaste or aqua so that may be a better comparison.

Anonymous said...

I have a swiftly in angel blue and it looks similar to menthol, but maybe it's just me thinking they are similar in colour. Would love to see a comparison of the other blue-greens with menthol, if possible. TIA!

MonkeyGirl said...

I ordered my flash XCRB last Tuesday, and it arrived today- it fit nicely and I loved the way it looked- wasn't sure how I'd feel about the color. Anyways, I put it in my sink with some cold water- the water instantly turned a deep pink. I kinda expected it would. I plan to soak it a few times. Fingers crossed it will be good to go after.

This is what I've let myself be reduced to- taking more time to care for clothes meant to sweat in than my designer dresses- but I have only myself to blame! I have been buying a lot less lulu the past two months though.

Anonymous said...

If I had unlimited funds, I would have ordered:

Concord Grape Swiftly Tech SS
Concord Grape CRB
Concord Grape NLT
Concord Grape Define jacket
Run Wild SS Tech in gray (probably)
Run Swiftly Tech 1/2 zip in UV
Maybe the Run Inspire Crops with the wee stripe and UV

But I can't do all that right now. And what I actually need is a run skirt. I'm not wild about any of the current offerings, particularly the new Marathon micromini. I may just get a black Pacesetter and the Concord Grape V-neck Swifly and be done with it. I'll probably regret not getting more Grape stuff, especially the Define, but it's so warm here that I can't get another jacket right now. I bought the UV In Stride a couple of weeks ago, and I've barely had a chance to wear it!

This message is for Becky regarding the DSC and Yoga crops. I have tried on both, bought several, and returned/exchanged a few. lol. For sure, go with white. It looks awesome on. Crisp, clean, and stylish. I chose the white DSC because they were lined. The Yoga crops were see through, and honestly, the fit and style was not that different from the DSC. The lining on the DSC are light and cottony. I think you'll be just fine. At last count, I own the indigo & white DSC, and fossil & black yoga crops. You'll love them!

Re: Cycling/Ride On Lulu clothing, the girls reviewing those products aren't ambassadors - I've been following Lovely Bicycle! and Let's Go Ride a Bike for a couple of years now. Velouria from Lovely Bike prefers non-synthetic fabrics, and this is the first time either blog has mentioned Lululemon. I think Lulu is just being smart by knowing the influence of bloggers (and the purchasing power of readers following blogs like this), and is simply reaching out to a community that would otherwise be unaware of their products.

Here are some reviews from the LGRAB ladies:

I definitely hopped on the flash bandwagon and got the Tame Me Tank in my usual 6, which will hopefully fit --- I had to go up to an 8 in the Chase Me Tank bc of the bust and armholes. Crossing my fingers on this one though b/c it is super cute and will go with the SE Speed Shorts and the March Multi Wee Stripe Speed Shorts I picked up before. I have to say I was really tempted to get the Concord version too, but I behaved myself and figure if I love it when it comes and the Concord is no longer available, it just wasn't meant to be. I also ordered the Stuff Your Bra in both the 6 and the 8 based on the reviews, so we shall see which works. Is it just me or are tops fitting tighter lately? I haven't noticed any changes in any of my other lulu tops I've been picking up for awhile.

And I really wanted to get the Wild Half Zip in the grey/white/flash but I keep reading reviews about the zippers doing bad things to the waistline. Has anyone tried this one on?

Anonymous said...

I bought the Wild Half Zip in grey/flash and its beautiful! The lace in the back is very feminine and detailed. I had no problem with the pockets!

Anonymous said...

Thanks yogibabe! I am going to order it....if it is still available in my size :)

Tracy Reifkind said...

They fixed the zipper problem on the Run Wild half zip. I went into my local store and bought it today in white/flash! There was no way I was going to buy it online because I had to return the one I bought in Dazzle....the zippers were really "not nice" on top of the hip.

I bought both the flash and grape swiftly 1/2 zip, love the UV one I bought last week (week before?). In fact as long as they keep coming with the 1/2 zips I'll be buying those instead of the long sleeve. The neckline is more flattering on me and I find the fit to be the same as the LS crewneck. And it's more versatile as a layering piece. I would love one in dune! That's a stretch though, I'm sure, lol

Anonymous said...

Bought the white Recognition pants in store today. They are more like very pale grey with white streaks. Cute.

purrfiktangil said...

@ Anon 4:44 and Tracy Reifkind - thanks, now I may have to give in and get it too :)

steph's comment was super helpful. I tried on the yoga camp crops in white in store and they were annoyingly see-through. I could not handle that! I ordered the DSC in white, but have been anxious about the fit and look. I am super excited about them now :)

becky said...

@steph, THANKS!! I actually pulled the trigger before I saw your response, but luckily I did decide on the white DSCs. After reading what you had to say, I'm feeling MUCH better and I'm pretty stoked to get them. YAY!

Pink Peony 4 said...

I ordered the 1/2 zip in flash, v neck swiftly in flash, tame me tank in flash, stuff your bra in wee stripe, the run: wild tech ss in rose quartz, no limit tank in concord grape, swiftly headband in flash and uv. No pure balance for me. Too revealing and i'm only a 34B. I gave away all mine from the last time. I was tempted to order the new skirts but I feel as though I have to change my attitude to something else (I don't know what) when I have them on. Also the website had the length to be 45 3/4". Huh??? I was just checking that to make sure it's not like a boogie shorts with an even shorter flap over it. I will go to the store and try some of these on but for insurance purposes I had to order some. Just in case... I e mailed gec about the length of the skirts. I know it's not 45" I just want to know what it IS. I did start out with a cart up to $710.00 but I thinned it down to about $400.00 something. I wasn't sure why I ordered long sleeves. I'm in Texas. I was delirious. It was really early in the morning. I don't know why I have to do this every dang week.

LuluAddict said...

@ Yogibabe - I did not size down in the Tame Me tank. I figured it probably runs snug like the Chase Me Tank. It also looks similar to the Run For Your Life and Run Your Heart Out tank did not run big in the bust. I thought it was better to be safe than sorry. I also like my running tops a little looser.

I read those bike blog reviews of the Ride On clothing. (For the record I am jealous of them getting free clothing) Both of them were pretty hung up on the lulu price points. I also thought the one that modeled the raincoat with her pretty skirt, knit tights, and cute shoes had put together a really cute outfit but I seriously doubt she would wear that in the rain or the aftermath of a rainstorm. It seemed like too nice of an outfit too get all muddy. Maybe she secretly wears rain boots but it would have ruined the look.

I think Menthol looks pretty close to Beachy Green, too.

Anonymous said...

@ LLA regarding the RideOn Blogger with the pretty outfit and the raincoat: I had the same thought!

I could wear the same outfit all the way to the stockings, but those Mary Jane pumps wont help to stay dry while pedaling in the rain!
I would reach for my tall rain boots, and pack the pumps in a waterproof lulu bag to change them at work.
