Today's Shopping Trip - Pritti Crops, Nesting CRB, and More

I went to the store today to exchange my Surge Featherweight Hybrid jacket. I like the jacket but not in Surge. My store told me they are expecting a lot of boxes of new stuff tomorrow but there was a bunch of new stuff I hadn't seen yet. I tried on the the Pritti tank and was surprised how roomy it is in the bust. I thought it was a very cute tank. The ten fit me pretty well so you might want to size down in this tank. If you are busty and typically spill out of lulu's strappier tanks give the Pritti a try. I have a fatal attraction to circle mesh tanks and really wanted to get this one but it's low support and I need at least moderate for the elliptical. I might have gotten it, too, if it came out at the beginning of summer (although we've had a cool one so far) but since we are heading into fall I am giving this a pass for now. If I find one at markdown I might pick it up, though. This is one of lulu's pricier tanks at $64. If you practice hot yoga you might consider this tank.

My store also got the Run For Your Life Tanks in in Lavender Gray and Rapsberry. I liked the Lavender Gray a lot but the horizontal line in the bra portion really showed through in this color on me. I already have one RFYL tank in Royalty and like it well enough but I don't love it enough to get another right now at full price.

I didn't think I would like the Coal Ground Nesting black bird print CRB from the photos I've seen but I ended up buying it. The one I happened to try on had a lot of black squiggles on it. It does have a high polyester content (94%) but that doesn't particularly bother me. I find I wear my print CRBs a lot more often than my solid ones so this will get a lot of use. My store also had the Heathered Muted Mauve and Rocksteady CRBs.

I tried on the Pritti crops and ended up buying a pair in black. I think the seaming on the backside, side of the leg, and little ruffle detail at the calf is visually slimming in those areas. My store did not have the heathered black, only solid black and heathered coal. I think they fit a lot like Wunder Unders. I think the waist might be a little lower than WUs, though.

I also got myself my first Ta Ta Tamer today in the Lavender Gray. I've tried this bra on so many times and left it at the store but they happened to have some 38Ds to try on. I thought Lavender Gray would look nice peeping out from underneath black tops. I also have a lot of purple and blue tops it will coordinate with. I ended up getting a 38D. The 36DD fit ok but I couldn't get it on with the straps crossed. It was tough enough getting the 38D on with crossed straps. I am hoping the straps will stretch out a bit. Either that or I'll become a better contortionist.I think I am a bit long in the shoulder area but lulu needs to add another inch to the strap length to make this perfect for crossing. I will get a lot of use out of this in the normal configuration but it's mystifying as to why the straps are so short.

Did you stay TTS for the Pritti tank? I'm a sucker for these baby doll type tanks but since it's $64, I haven't bit the bullet yet!

The straps are crazy-short on the TaTa Tamer. I'm fairly average in the chest/shoulders (I bought the 34C) and I have a really hard time crossing the straps. Once I get them crossed it gives great support, but there is no way I can wear the straps crossed in yoga - they are way too short and cut into my shoulders like crazy. Down dog hurts. Still love the bra with the straps on the normal way, though.

@ anon - 2:18 - good to know it's not just me with a problem with the straps. There are a few comments on the lulu web page that people find it too short to cross them, too.

@ anon 2:14 pm - I tried on the 10 and I have normally taken a 12 in most of lulu's tanks but am starting to buy size tens more and more in tanks lately. (My Black Stripes Galore Power Y is a 10) I thought it fit TTS or maybe a tad on the roomy side. Lulu's website says a ten has a 38" chest measurement and that's what I am when the girls are on their own.

The straps on the TataTamer are WAY too short. I don't know why I didn't try it both ways before I bought. I didn't discover the issue until the first time I tried to wear it (and of course had taken the tags off), nearly impossible to cross and painfully uncomfortable. I only wear racer back tanks so I have no use for it without the straps crossed.

Yup, I agree that the straps are too short so crossing them is not an option for me.

I tried on the priti tank today - I had high hopes because I love my fouette tanks from last year. Alas, this did not work for me in either my true size or size down. I'm a 6 in most tanks, but this felt loose around the chest band and too big in the body (too billowy). So I tried a 4 and while it was better in the chest band, I could not get the ruffle under the empire waist to lay flat! So frustrating and for a $64 + tax tank, I feel like I would be wasting $70 if it wasn't perfect love. I bet these will hit the MD rack soon - the dignity halters and bulerias tanks sure made it there pretty fast.

I did however, walk out with the brisk ear warmers in ghost. The fit is SO much better on my head than last year's versions. I love it!

I purchased the Pritti tank the other day and I sized down. I am normally a 10 in tanks and I went with an 8 in this one. Still fits really comfortably in the chest band and isn't too baggy in the stomach area. I fell in love instantly! :) Going to try on a ta ta tamer today!

@ Michell Q and Gabbi - Ok, good to know the Pritti tank runs large.

I also tried on the Priiti today in Royalty and it was really nice. It seemed well made and fit pretty well in the bust. I'm a 32DD and a size 4 fit well (without cup inserts) on the bust. However, I found the body waaaaaay too big. I'm fairly slim (lol a dancer) and I kinda found it too much to material to handel. I couldn't size down because the bust wouldn't fit. Its really gorgeous, just too much fabric around the body. boo :(

There is a unique way of wearing this TT in cross strap that work for me. Someone in the group taught me how to wear it. First, cross the strap first. Wear it over your head just like wearing your CRB without hooking it first. Now, adjust the bra and hook it.
