Yikes!! No way I'd pay $148 for either of those hoodies. For that price they'd have to make me look 20lbs lighter and do the dishes for me. Otherwise I'll be living with the ones I already have!
I would never, ever, ever pay anything close to that. Especially for a black one, they fade after like 5 washes and look terrible. I am looking into the future...I see...I see...lots of over-priced special edition scubas on markdown!!!!
Seriously!! The more I look at this, the more pissed off it makes me. How does stitching a little ribbon around the trim make it worth $50 more than Scubas used to cost/ $40 more than they cost now?! For an otherwise plain black & white hoodie?
No, thanks! I'll go to Costco and buy 8 or 9 Costco brand hoodies that I can *gasp* actually put in the dryer....
Have to be honest. Haven't loved much of what Lulu has been putting out and the thought of a $148 hoodie that will fade (black) from washing just annoys me beyond belief. Dear Lulu, the world is in a recession! Ugh.
The hoodies are cute, but for $30.00 more you could by the right as rain jacket which is actually a really nice coat for the money. I have to admit I live in Seattle where you wear a rain coat 11 months of the year.
I really do not understand the price increases unless it has something to do with cotton futures.
Anon. 6:00pm: I totally agree with your reasoning re the fact that the Right as Rain jacket is only $30 more than the SE scubas -- and you get so much more for the money. I often think the same way when making purchases at lulu now. The other day I considered buying a $48 lively crewneck, but reasoned that it was better to add $21 and get an In Stride on discount for $69 -- much more product for the money than a tee shirt.
As for these new SE scubas, I am not tempted -- I don't like the long ribbon on the zip pull (same as on the pillow scuba) -- and while the trimmings are cute, they lack wow factor -- and obviously the price is ridiculous.
If anything they should be cheaper since that's how they look. Not to be rude, but it looks like someone hot glued ribbon on the edges. I definitely will not be buying....
YES- I saw these in the store Tuesday and was shocked when i saw the $148 price tag. I look forward to seeing the Heathered Rasberry which looks like it will be in the $108 price range. I HOPE :)
I never understood the love for hoodies either. I mean I love hoodies *in general* but no effing way will I pay $100 for a cotton hoodie. It better be some kind of technical fabric at the very least.

totally!!!! $148....must be Couture
Thankfully I've never been into hoodies. Anyone seen a lavender gray LS swiftly? I want one!!
148!!!! Are you kidding me?
More frill to accentuate their logo... lululemon should be paying ME $148+ to advertise.
Definitely not $148 cute.

Perfect - metal zips = zero temptation to buy. That and the insane over-pricing.

Looks like they added ribbon to some stock scubas and jacked the price up 40 bucks... no thanks.

I hate the metal zippers, too.
Not. Worth. It.

I like the ruffle detail but not enough to pay $148 for it!
