NEW! Riding Pants

New luon Riding Pant. Available in 2-10 in Wren Denim, Heathered Coal, Black Denim Luon, and Black. I would think they'd be around $98. They don't do much for me so I'll pass on them.

  • Enjoy the ride through your vinyasa or out on your horse in these fitted pants
  • Made with 4-way stretch luon® - breathable, soft coverage
  • Zipper opening at bottom leg to pull over your foot easier
  • Medium rise, snug fit, ankle length
  • Waistband inner stash pocket to secure $ & keys
  • Flat seamed for chafe resistance & comfort
  • Preshrunk

The problem is that I've wanted lulu to make a riding pant for ages, so I cdn use them for riding, and they've got the appearance just about right but functionally they are fairly useless! You'd slide around like crazy in these because they lack any grip, and in sure they would pill like crazy if you put half chaps or boots over them!

I laughed to myself the other day when I saw the Riding Jackets on markdown, had to explain to my sister why I found it so funny/not shocking.

It is indeed time Lulu give up on the Riding gear!

rehash of the polocrosse pants? well, if nothing else, LLL is predictable...take a current design, tweak one little thing, change the name, and jack up the price a buck or two...well, i guess someone will buy it.

I happen to love my riding jacket:) Would I wear it horseback riding? Of course not. The pants I will pass on. Not crazy about the nesting pattern. I think my wallet is safe this week.

Anon 7:25, I also laughed when I saw the riding jacket on markdown. It didn't last very long, did it?

I'm all for trying new styles, but can we get away from the blue, purple and gray for crying out loud?

Let's face it, Lululemon is an ingenious marketing and revenue machine. Outside of their base items(Define jackets and Power Y tanks for example), most of the styles they crank out are impractical for yoga or anything else, and are lacking durability. Durability is a minimum expectation in exercise apparel...none of my Lucy, Puma, nor Nike has pilled over 10 years of use. Hmm, and they didn't cost nearly as much as Lululemon. Until they step it up, I'm not buying any more!

I tried on these pants yesterday (at the Santa Monica store) and I didn't like them. I have the Equestrian pants from the lab from last fall and I love those pants... so I was excited to see some in the regular lulu stores. I tried on my TTS and size up and both sizes cut into my thighs where the seams were.. not attractive. I also found them to be short.. and I always have to hem my lulu pants... I am guessing that they will be ending up on the mark down rack with the riding jacket soon...

I would think someone is buying these riding styles but they look busy to me. Give me streamlined functional Groove or Wunder Under crops any day.

I love them! Would do anything to find another pair of eights! Anyone out there want to clean out the ones they hate?
