Real Life Pics - Clarity Vest, Sway Jacket, I Just Wanna Run, Dance Studio Pants + Cute Dresses & Hockey

I Just Wanna Run SL Tech
I think it would look much cuter on this girl one size down. Too bad they didn't think to demo it that way. This tank is selling out faster in the US than in the Candian site. I think it's a super cute, unique top (even if it looks boxy on this girl) and kudos to the designer. This tank works well for bustier, curvier ladies (and people with poochy midsections  ;-)  ).

Sway Jackets
I like the lightest (pic #4) and darkest Sway (pic #1 on left) jackets the best. Who the heck approved the version with the pink stripes on the shoulders (pics #2 & 3)? Honestly, the striped version is something that I would expect see at Walmart - just awful.

Clarity Vest - I just can't like it, especially at $98

Dance Studio Pant
Every photo of Dance Studio pants I see look super tight - split my butt in half tight - in the @ss, even on tiny women. Is that the design of the pant? They are cute enough pants, I just wanted to say the design seems to run super snug in the rear.

Since several people commented they were majorly underwhelmed by Lululemon's Two in One Dress, I went looking for cute summer dresses from some of their competitors. It wasn't hard to find cuter dresses for similar prices. Although their technical wear is top of the field, Lululemon really needs to up their game in the apres department. Plopping your logo on your nice fabric on dull or weird designs isn't going to cut it.

I know it's Off Topic but I really hope the US beats Canada in the men's hockey game on Sunday - Go USA!

I feel the need to point out that you must have alot of confidence in Team Canada's abililty to play hockey...because they have not even played their semifinal game...they have to beat Slovakia tonight before they advance to the gold medal game....of course they will win but it's nice to know that you too also realize it!!

I thought Canada was favored for the Gold before the Olympics even started. They ought to make to the final round with all the smack talk I've been reading about - cheering for the Swiss the other night! ;-)

I have been a lululemon fan since forever and it is frustrating that we have such limited choices in Manila - Your blog is killing me with envy! :-) So happy to find out that US online store ships to the Philippines - I love reading your posts :-)

Looks like a dry season for this Lulu addict. The new colors are nice to look at but they wash me out. Glad I stocked up on the jewel tones last season. I kind of thought this was going to happen come spring/summer. At least everyone gets their turn. :)

the light and dark sway jackets are cute but the last thing I need right now is another jacket!

I feel like a copy cat but I just came back from lulu - bought I want to run in lagoon - sized down two sizes, tempted to order in black and chirp too. I also want a define in Chirp.
Oh, and I have to disagree... GO Canada GO!!!! :)
Ps - I am running the LA marathon in March and staying at the Viceroy in Santa Monica - what lulu's should I visit?

@Marci- Definitely visit the Santa Monica lululemon it's probably the biggest in Southern California. The other close ones are Brentwood and Rodeo Drive. I haven't been to the Brentwood one and wasn't that impressed with the Rodeo one.

Brentwood is a block away from me and I love it! I go to Santa Monica regularly too and they do get more items than Brentwood. However, the sizes and items there seem to sell out super fast. Brentwood is the gem, since it's located in a neighborhood as opposed to in a super busy tourist area like 3rd st promenade or beverly hills. So they tend to have lots of things still in stock while other stores have sold out. I've gotten some GREAT deals there. But I may be biased since I love the girls there. =) But Brentwood store is only 2 miles east of the Santa Monica store so I would just visit both Marci! And....Beverly Hills is just another 2 miles east of Brentwood, so prob just visit all 3... they have guys doing yoga and running on the treadmill on weekends at the display window =)

The contrast shoulder stripes on the sway jacket are very star-trek-ish. It would be a big improvement in one tone.

Re: tight look on the tush in dance studio pant: if you stay true to size they will slightly fitted/slightly relaxed and no tightness across the bum. BUT, many people size down one size in these and the result is that they still "fit" but the bum is super tight - i wear them in my normal size but if I go down one size they fit everywhere but I get the fabric really tight across the bum - I think the vibe of these pants is a bit more relaxed.

@ Anon - I was underwhelmed by the selection in the Beverly Hills store selection. They did have some good sales but I went there during the week between Christmas and New Years. I thought the ladies were on the unfriendly side even though I walked in wearing Lululemon. The staff at Santa Monica was way more friendly. They also had a ton of stuff. I got a black Run: Hills Pullover there long after the initial sell out because all the local stores shipped their extra running stuff to them. I don't know if that happens on a regular basis. If you only have time for one store, I'd go to Santa Monica but all three are very close together. There are three others that are also close by - El Segundo (I've gotten great deals there), Pasadena, and Glendale. If you make it down to Orange County, I'd visit the Newport Beach store. It's probably the second biggest store in Southern California. They were one of the lucky few to get the No Limits tank back in October.

The Glendale store is pretty great too - really big and nice. Plus, it's at the awesome Americana mall.

The Glendale store has an insane collection of headbands for some reason. I've been to 9 Lululemon stores in my area and they have the most I've ever seen.

I know its Off topic but, I'm really glad Canada beat the US in men's, oh and women's, hockey. :)

P.s you are right on the mark about the dresses though, lets hope they get some cuter styles in.

I'm so glad I stopped by to read your blog. I love the (non-Lulu) dresses! So cute! I bought the Lulu Dance Studio Pants and actually had to buy a size down...

Luluaddict, I love your blog! I was really excited to try on the Dance Studio Pant after all the buzz about it on Facebook. I'm a dancer, so I was expecting to love it! Sadly, I felt it was too tight in the booty and the crotch. I kept wanting to dig the pants out of my nether regions! I wear a 2 or 4 in Grooves, and even in the size 6 Dance Studio Pant, I felt they were too tight. And I really don't have much booty at all. What a bummer! I did like the fabric and thought they'd be really cute for Zumba. I'm almost 5'10", and they were too long even for me! There's no way I could dance in them without either using the drawstring or tripping all over them, and I really don't care for the drawstring look. Oh well...hopefully there will be another iteration of this one in the future, with some tweaks.
