Try On Review - Astro Crop, In Motion Crop, Twisted Tank + More

I visited my nearest Lululemon stores to pick up a Conditioning Tank and to try on the new arrivals. I tried on the Astro Crops (pictured above). They aren't on Lululemon's website yet but they have been in a few of my product alerts. I found them very comfortable. I think they are a snug fitting crop but not as snug as a Groove Crop. It's hard to tell from the photo above but they run a little shorter than most of lululemon's crops, hitting me a little below the knee and have a straight leg, meaning they don't bell out at your calf. The waistband is comfortably wide and has an overlapping v in the front. If you want to see a photo of actual people wearing these crops go to Lululemon Promenade's facebook site. I also tried on the In Motion Crops. They are very wide leg crops with a roll down waist. These were super comfortable. I didn't care for how the wide pant leg made me look - it hit at the widest part of my calf and I felt it made me look stubby, but that's just me. There is no ipod pocket in these pants which is a big flaw in my eyes. However, I could see myself buying a full length version of this style. I bet they would rival the Still pants in comfort.

I also tried on the Twisted Tank and ended up going home with that instead of the Conditioning Tank. Both tops are very feminine and flattering. The Twisted Tank has a very relaxed fit so you can easily size down to get a closer fit (like in the picture I posted previously). The support is definitely low but there are pockets for the bra cookies. The straps can be crossed which makes a cute keyhole cutout in the back. The primary reason I choose the Twisted Tank is that it looks more like street wear than athletic wear - it's solid colored and the logo was black on the black top.

Other observations - The organic Scoop Back Tank looks like a great summer wardrobe staple. There are some cute new color combos (solid charcoal and a cool sky blue with purple) in the Move Tank, which has become my favorite hot weather running-around-town top.

Twisted Tank - Hot!

How great does this woman look in the new Twisted Tank? (My husband walked over to take a closer look when I opened the product alert - he really appreciates what Lululemon does for the female form ;-) ). It looks very similar to the Conditioning Tank in the front with the gathers at the bustline. I must try this on!

[PS - I have to say I really dislike the female fit model used on the website. It may just be me, but I don't think she helps sell the clothes at all. She is built just a little too boyishly (wasn't Lululemon started to cloth women in their 30s - well most of us have curves) with an insanely long torso (I'm 5'5" and my Groove pants don't hit me 4" below my navel), wide shoulders, straight waist, no hips and not much bust. Not that they should use a woman like in the above photo - that would be a bit too much like Bebe sport. They should go back to using headless mannequin forms in their photos. A generic form lets us insert our bodies into the garment. If you want to use photos of actual people use photos of Ambassadors or educators.]
