For the first time ever Lululemon offered a subset of SeaWheeze items for runners early this morning. It's something runners have been asking for for awhile so thanks to the SeaWheeze team for making it happen. The store was accessible via a special email link, though I have read rumors that the link got out early.
Tofino Shells Multi Black Speed Tight V. I was bummed these were only available up to size 10. Previewed is a Dust Coral Chase Me Tank.
Tofino Shells Trackers. These were gone in size 10 and 12 by the time I got the email and are now fully sold out in the US, about an hour after the email was sent.
Tofino Shells Speed Shorts. Also sold out within the hour. Previewed with these is a Jet Stream Sculpt Tank.
Sculpt Tank. Previewed with this are light blue (Hi-Def Cyan?) shorts and a Zippy Green Invigorate Bra.

Were you able to get anything today? I ended up getting the Run All Day backpack and a shirt for my son. What do you think of the print and the color scheme? Lululemon said it will release photos of everything that will be available at the store on social media beforehand, which is really nice.

I absolutely love the tofino print for women. So gorgeous. Has some real depth and texture unlike the mermaid print earlier this year. Definite win in my books!
I love the colors! I would be all over shorts or a tank in that print on the scrunchie (but not the scrunchie itself, lol) I'm excited to see what else is offered. I enjoy the SW store posts each year.
I was thrilled they did this, and absolutely love the print as teal is one of my favorite colors! So, I got on immediately and the Trackers were already sold out in 8 or 10; they were the #1 item I wanted. Oh well. So I got the Speed tights for myself, and Speed Shorts for my daughter.
I am planning on sleeping in and going to the expo late so this helps take some of the pressure off!
Yep, the 'exclusive' link was posted in several FB groups and anyone who had a lulu account could order. Far cry from the email they sent that said we would receive a 'special code'. I would have enjoyed the trackers but they were sold out in sizes 10 and 12 instantly....SIGH
I would've bought the speeds but they were sold out when I logged on. Everything else was still available but the only other thing that interested me was the backpack- though I have no real use for a backpack so I passed entirely.
On the one hand, it's sort of nice they did this. However, as Unknown 12:10 PM has described, how inane that anyone could order. Registered runners should have had an exclusive code in some earlier email. Now you'll see the eBay mark ups, so on and so forth.
On the other hand, while the colours are a bit pretty, none of this makes me swoon. LLL as a brand no longer has a grip on me. Which I am quite happy about, actually.
Why am I not surprised that this could be true? I'm not going to SW and wouldn't order items intended for runners. :(
Doesn't this print already exist? Why do these prints all look the same? And people will spend the premium $$ for this? Yawn.
Huge improvement from last year, in my opinion. I like the bright pops of color and definitely would have bought a few items if I was running. Looking forward to what other items the full SW store has to offer. (I'm not going, but it's often a good indicator of the type of look we'll see a few months down the road.)
@Rise and Shine - I agree. I like this year's prints much better but don't love the product as much.
None of this looks unique though. Following the theme and muted colors, it looks almost like a re-release of items already out there. I'm trying hard to be optimistic, but I just don't get the same excitement that I use to from the uploads. Haven't ordered anything in a very long time.
Looks like every other splatter print in the last year. SW Last year was so much better as far as prints go- maps of Vancouver were cool looking, the purple/magenta colors were so much nicer than this IMO.
If these items weren't SW, they would sit on the website for months, just like the other items like they almost identical too. Funny how making something "special edition" causes an otherwise boring and unoriginal design to sell out within an hour.
Why are people acting like there won't be markup from people that are technically 'runners?' You'll be lining the pockets of people that bought these items with their 25% discount, as well. This brand has lost all cachet.
Why anyone still buys this stuff is beyond me. Lousy company, lousy service, lousy product.
I got my order today - the solid blue Sculpt tank and the Speed tights in Tofino Shells. I really like the Tofino Shells pattern. From afar it looks like granite, but up close you can see the shells. It's mostly black and white with hints of peach, orange, light blue and peri. I was hoping for the Sculpt tank in this pattern but it wasn't available in my size when I placed my order. I'm hoping I can pick one up from the Showcase store but I didn't see the patterned Sculpt tank in the preview.
Boring boring boring, nothing unique or special, and nothing stands out as "SeaWheeze." Super disappointed in everything with this race so far, from registration to communication, to this. Def will not be running it a second time!
Well I believe lll intentionally left out need for code knowing the link would spread. They had ample stock and restocked the next morning too. So many people upset but isnt it nice that some who cant go can get an item too? I think the prints are pretty and different from other recent prints. I cant wait to get my speed shorts and tights. The tights sound real cool. The merchandise for sw is so nice. Love it. I hope they learned from past experience and have lots of stock for runners. They know reflective is going to sell out so hopefully they have plenty of stock. And if they did away with those that take the whole cubby of shorts in the popular sizes that would be fairer for other runners. These local "angels" surprise me sometimes. They police their fb groups and ban folks for not following rules yet they have no etiquette at sw...going in many times because they know people. Lol that needs to be stopped. Anyway best of luck to runners. Hope you get lots of stuff...you deserve it for waiting in line! Cheers
