I got all excited when I saw "dress" in the title, since traditionally they've released a cute summer dress around this time of year. I've been waiting and hoping, but it's a big nope from me. Way too much of everything showing for my tastes! Bummer.
Love the dress and they added shorts this time...not sure if it will have grips. I love it. Looks like it will come in at 108 maybe.... Might have to wait for markdown. I ordered the bra...wonder how close it is to seamist from 2 years ago.
Pretty lame. The phrase tees are especially bad.
I think I am close to done with LULU..I love what I would call a "tennis" dress, but do we have to show so much..does there have to be so much mesh.. Looks very cute but agree it will be 100+..the skirts are close to 70 mow..and so much black and white..it's summertime!!! come on with some corals, or nice shades of lavendar and blue.
I love the dress, I hope it comes to Canada soon
yuk!
So i went into the lululemon store today for the first time in months!! hardly anyone in there. there was literally only one section of color which were the old colorways from years ago. The Ed kept trying to sell my bf on a pair of shorts ... just goes to show you how desperate they are. I tried on the anew shorts since I loved the look of them online - they looked horrible on me, the stitching in the back makes it look like you have a constant wedgie -i was pretty bummed but wasn't gonna pay $60 + tax for shorts that look horrible! Also I was surprised to see that they had quicksand in stock in all sizes of the anew shorts, they are sold out online in quicksand. Also my boyfriend agreed that the store looked very boring, no fun patterns or anything anymore!
The dress is cute but the pockets are pretty awkward. First, they keep making skirts with upward facing pockets, which really reduces the likelihood that tennis players would buy them (which would seem like a core target market for an athletic skirt, particularly a white one), and second, are you really going to put your music player in the pocket, climb into the dress, and futz with the cord to get everything aligned? And then when you change music you're going to pull your skirt up to get to the pocket? It just isn't very functional. A few discrete, external pockets would work better for music players and keys and give the tennis players the upside down pockets they want/need. I don't play tennis, so maybe I'm mistaken, but I would think that these pockets would be a deal breaker.
I'm curious what yogis think of the "This is Yoga" campaign. It kind of rubs me the wrong way. Rock climbing isn't yoga. Yoga isn't another word for feeling relaxed. It's a discipline and one which, arguably, has already been considerably watered down by its frequent Western incarnation as purely a fitness routine. But ... I'm not a yogi, so maybe I've got this all wrong. Thoughts?
The dress seems to be marketed to runners. So, the pockets should be facing the way they are (on this and on any running skirts). And I often wear skirts with pockets on the shorts underneath--I do lift up the skirt to get to the pocket for my phone or gu or lip balm. For me, I don't wear running dresses because it's too much work if you need to go to the bathroom. But the other features do seem fit for running.
These all white outfits are just reminding me of the Guilty Remnant from The Leftovers...that said some of them are super cute.
@ anon 3:37 am - I'm a very literal person and agree with you. Yoga is yoga. It'd be equally dumb if they said, "this is running" and showed all those different sports to attempt to redefine running. The campaign doesn't connect with me at all. IMO, lululemon should have long ago stopped trying to be seen as a company that only makes gear for yoga. They make very good items for running but whenever any article is written about them they are only touted as a yoga company and it's like 99% of reporters don't work out and don't know that they are huge among anyone who wants good performance, technical wear for their workouts, whether it's for yoga, running, cross fit, what have you.
