Lilac Swiftly Tank and Rio Nights Time to Shine Tights. I finally tried on the Time to Shine Tights I ordered from the upload last week. I really liked them except for the waistband situation. All the layers of material made me feel like I had industrial strength Spanx on. I think in the front you have six layers of material between waistband and flap. I have some photos of the pocket situation below:
The front has two slot openings but it's really one continuous pocket with a flap over it. The pocket and flap are lined in circle mesh. The flap goes around the entire waist and meets in the back in a "V" shape.
There is also a back slot pocket on the inside of the waistband. I don't really understand the design of this pocket since the opening is in the middle of the pocket, like a little tissue packet. The pocket is not very wide or tall/deep so the opening is across a good 2/3 of it. I would love to know what I am supposed to keep in here.
Other than the weird waist pockets, I did like the fit of the pants a lot. I think if you have thicker thighs and a booty these are a good design for you. I ordered the Rio Nights since the other two colors had large mesh panels that extended high up the back of the thigh. I ended up returning these but I might pick them up again if they go to a nice markdown price. They have thigh pockets which make them attractive to me for some running situations but I really prefer a zipper back pocket. The color did fade a bit with stretching but was nicely opaque.
