I want the Midnight Bloom in the WU crops or Pace Rivals. So, nothing for me.

I wasn't tempted by anything new. I'm thinking I'd like something in the midnight bloom print like a bra or maybe the sculpt tank, but not enough to buy it tonight. I'll wait to see it at the store, but those trips are few and far between lately. I thought about the black/white paisley HTs all week, so I ordered those to try. I'm waiting to see what Thurs WMTM brings.

Nothing for me today... but does anyone know what the pants are in the Soulful Crop Tank photos (the ones with the heathered black tank)? I don't recognize them!

Side note: as a strictly online shopper, I could not be happier they got rid of the floating product photos!!

Oops! Just realized those are the Like Nothing tights! didn't recognize them from the spoilers... I'm hopeful for this new nulux... I love(d) the old high times but fabrics have been so meh recently that I always end up disappointed.

I got the backpack even though I have no need for it. The rest was a miss for me-boxy cuts, pleated backs...nope.

Definitely looking for this Midnight Bloom crops!!

Meh, I could get a more well designed puffer jacket from Zara. Cheaper.
Hopefully LLL will release the Herringbone WU in the high rise this year again. I would also love to get a more feminine puffer jacket.

I like the love LS but I'm sooo tired of this chilled out grape/regal plum/red grape business ... I swear they are all almost the same.

Anonymous said...

...doesn't make a lot of sense to buy a backpack you have no need for... totally agree with you about the boxy cuts though, easy pass for sure.

Bought the Mini Midnight Bloom Speed Shorts in the store today. I paused and had to come back before buying. For some reason I wanted the print to be a bit more vibrant, which I feel it is online vs. in person. Then I realized what I really wanted was just a touch more of the beautiful turquoise in the print! I did ask that they pull out all the size 6's so I could pick the best print placement...I wanted the turquoise to be visible.

I tried on the Insculpt Vest. I actually like the fabric. But the cut was a bit boxy/not very flattering and the hood was so ridiculously oversized, it had zero function imho. I feel like that fabric should have been done in a slim, flattering fit.

I let the Manager know that the "heathered black grape" in the Split Hoodie, labeled as Black Swan was NOT even remotely close to Black Swan. It's frigging purple. Black Swan is gorgeous. Had the Split Hoodie actually been heathered Black Grape/Swan, I would have bought it.

Does anyone know how the Bed & Twist Tank fits? I'm typically an 8 in all bra tops, but a 6 in everything else.

Canadian WMTM got new items

Anonymous said...

@lulubell they added a few items to the WMTM this evening, which is interesting. I ordered a pair of H2O speeds to try (from WMTM) and a few colors of the CRB that were just added for $29. Nothing from the What's New. I see lots that I like, but not in love with. I like the Blooming floral print, but it's too generic. I honestly would get bored of it. I really have to be in love to spend for the new pricing system.

Does anyone know what pants she is wearing with the 'soulful' tank? They're dark grey.

Many thanks!

This is all wonderful for my back account. I keep hearing the 25th and the third week of September is when all the stuff by the new head design guy hits. I'm dying to know if it's going to match the hype. So far it's all been super underwhelming.

I got an invite to a special event next Thursday at my local store. 8pm. RSVP. Videos, runway with models In new fall styles. I'm going out of curiosity.

Anonymous said...

It's kind of weird that the head design person is a guy... I don't know, but I kind of feel like a woman would have a better idea and is better suited to knowing what women would want in all aspects of design (fit, colour, function, well, everything really!)...

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 8:39 pm - they look like cotton wunder unders to me.

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 9:19 pm - Let us know what you see. It's being hyped pretty hard.

@Anon 8:25- Thanks for the tip about WMTM!! I just added a new crb to my collection. :-)

very agreed that I do not miss the floating product pics as well! My spending has definitely gone back up but nowhere near what it used to be - the first six rows look like yoga gear for a funeral - so absolutely blah in terms of color! black, black, grey, blue, black, blue, grey, different grey, more grey....don't get me wrong - black is my color for sure but some pop would still be nice. Yes winter is coming but are we all going to hibernate for the season? Nothing for me this week, especially since I still haven't received last week's order!

aliswanson said...

Why can't you search by color on the Lulu site. So annoying.

I just got 2 new colors in the Zen bra. I love the midnight bloom color, but I'm not sure it would look good on me.

I also like the 'down for a run vest', but kind or hard to justify that much on a vest.

LLA I am not holding out too much hope for some better designs with the new designer and not when LLL themselves are forecasting a less than stellar last half of year sales. 2016 designs IMO have mostly been underwhelming and even staples like the DSP are no longer viable to buy since they changed the sizing and now give me camel toe and wedgies. The sizing this year has been all over the place and for people who only purchase online must find it very frustrating.

I did buy the Rush Hour l/s in Sapphire yesterday but I am going to return it. I usually wear size 6 in rulu l/s tops but it was too big and boxy so I bought the size 4. I tried it on again when I got home and it's just too short and I don't like the wide band at the bottom either. The only thing of interest this week that's new is the Rush Hour Jacket in the UK.

Nothing interesting for me here. I'm not a fan of floral prints and I'm all set for winter with my end of season purchases earlier this year. The Dottie Tribe PRs and WUPs were the last things I had to have. I would consider getting something like the maze print if they did something like this with it: http://duramecho.com/Art/RainbowLabyrinths/Mazes/Maze025x025Length00SpectrumNarrowPath.png

Honestly, the special event thing just doesn't sound appealing to me. I don't care what the stuff looks like on a bunch of models, lol. And not interested in seeing a bunch of Lululemon videos either. But looking forward to hearing what you think after the event anyway!

Anonymous said...

Ha, if the head design person is a guy does that mean we are going to get even MORE mesh?

That aside, usually I go bonkers over Lulu's fall items but this year all the new stuff (i.e. the Split items) looks just like the sweats I like to steal from hubby when I'm sick and want to stay on the couch binge-watching The Good Wife on Netflix. His stuff is way cheaper and all worn in so it's nice and soft.

Fast Times LS- any additional photos of this? I keep trying to figure out if it's a crop top + longer tank with built in bra or if it's just a weird looking LS and the tank isn't part of it (ie it's not a 'set'). The description on the website is super vague.
@6:35 I was told my ed's that there won't be herringbone this year, they apparently felt they killed it last year?

Dana Yaniro said...

I got one too, hopefully some interesting stuff will be seen!

Some of the world's best fashion designers are men! Ralph Lauren, Alexander Wang, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Karl Lagerfeld, Roberto Cavalli, Jean Paul Gaultier, Christian Louboutin, Oscar De La Renta, Phillip Lim, Dolce & Gabbana just to name a few. It seems unfair to assume that just because Lulu's head designer is a man that he can't do a good job.

That being said, I will be watching and waiting to see what they release. I haven't really bought anything new from a store or online save for the good old standby CRB's on MD since they are changing them and it appears they won't make them any longer.

The Run All Day backpacks are actually really useful. If you think about it there's a lot of places you can use it for: Day trips to the mall when you want to shop unimpeded with a purse, traveling, trips to the beach, hiking, if you go to d-land for the day, just a long day of errands where a purse becomes a pain, walks in the park. I didn't think I'd use mine a lot and I use it all the time now. I like that I can be hands free and it's not a huge cumbersome bag!

Thank you!

Yep, that's my guess, too. Makes sense, with the cotton top. I love my cotton WUPs but they smell funny if I sweat in them.

GratefulMama said...

If it were up to some guys, they would bring back the thong leotard look from the 80s. maybe Lulu will make an updated version with mesh instead of spandex lol. Can you imagine? All mesh with just a little high rise panty.

Events at the stores are fun and they usually have a special discount for attendees @ 6:10 AM

@caterpillerintraining - SO FUNNY - there's a lot of things they have killed but it isn't stopping them from still plugging away with it....regal plum, mesh, and for heaven's sake let go of the puffy jackets already!!!

Thanks for the tip on WMTM. I picked up a lullaby CRB. Nothing interesting in the current upload.

Very sad to see that Speed Tights have been "revamped" to add tons of mesh to the back panels. The end of yet another classic.

I don't care that the new designer is a guy - after all, plenty of male designers make beautiful women's clothes - but didn't you say that he's coming from Nike, LLA? For me, Nike is the epitome of bad women's workout wear. Very masculine, very utilitarian in a cheap and disposable way. I really think Nike thinks female athletes are only a handful of elites and everyone else is just lounging around posing. They didn't make Mall Walkers, but that's the exact, condescending vibe I get from them. I hope I'm being unfair and that this new guy will be so talented he makes me shut my ignorant mouth!

My disinterest in LLL continues to grow. With the exception of the sapphire colour only, there is nothing that appeals to me here.

The Down for it Jacket and Vest are just wrong. Even on a petite person these items are making people look wide and big.

More dirty, grungy looking WUs in the diffusion pattern. Looks like paint or bleach splotches.

Rush Hour long sleeve. What is with the looseness? Ick. I'm normally a sucker for Rulu, but not in these shirts.

Soulful Pant, lol right when I saw them. There are no words. I don't care how "cool" or trendy anyone thinks they are. Very, very funny. And yet, the former Dance Studio Pant, apparently Potdevin found them to be too dumpy or Mom pants or whateve. THIS is what they think is a draw haha it's too funny.

What's the point of the Ambleside crew? Don't care if it is a different material. It is not much better than the Blissed out s/s sweatshirt in heathered Alberta Lake currently on wmtm Canada.

Midnight bloom, anything in this pattern is going straight to wmtm. I guess it doesn't matter if you wait for wmtm, since you'll only save about $4 now haha

I returned my herringbone wu from last year a long time ago. Horrible quality and pilling and itchiness.

Anonymous said...

Aonon 7:16. Oh no, I had noo idea the Herringbone WU had such a bad quality. Can't stand itchy tights. Thanks for letting me aware. I have 200$ gift card but nothing is screaming my name so far...

The majority of fashion designers are male... Also, "what women would want in all aspects of design" isn't something universal.

midnight bloom is really nice in person, the details on the flowers are really nice, like abstract orchids. I got the hottie hot skirt and I am really loving it. Will be doing a long run in it before the end of the week.
