The City Bound Wrap has hit Canadian stores. (Thanks to Ms. K. for her photos.)

Mail day - Alberta Lake Yogi Racerback III and Tonic Sea Energy Bra. I like Tonic Sea much better than Sea Mist.  I post some comparisons with other pale greens like Sea Mist and Fresh Teal this weekend when I get the morning light.

Lol at that vest. And the prices are outrageous!

If you have any Angel Blue items, I would love to see how Tonic Sea stacks up against it. Thanks!

How is the fit of the racerback III?

I'm gonna have to see that vest on someone. It doesn't look very good at all on the hanger. It's so sad because I just got back into LLL after a 5-6 year break and I hyped myself up by looking through your last years fall line posts. I'm a year too late ☹️

I got the Alberta Lake as well and I love it! That Waterproof jacket has potential.

Trying to think what it is that doesn't attract me to lulu prints lately...apparently, and maybe it shows my age, but I like definitive pattern....if it is a flower, I like it to look like a flower....not like something that a monkey or the elephant would be drawing in the zoo and then sold as art....no offence to perhaps younger generation, but I love everything non-blurry....and the lines that line up .....and camo that looks like camo......oh, and I also love things soft, not stiff....well...back to BST and eBay for me:)

Insculpt Vest and City Bound Wrap are hideous, both look generic stiff and boxy. Savasana Jacket also shapeless and boxy looking and nothing special. I could find a nicer much more flattering (nice shape) jacket for same price or cheaper elsewhere. Lulus prices have become ridiculous for what this stuff is. Like anon 6:12 said, it's all overpriced junk. The Alberta Lake tank just looks like any other tank that can be found anywhere else these days, only priced much higher than others, because it's *Lulu*.

Tonic Sea looks pretty in the photo above, really hope I like it when my Tonic Sea Ta Ta Tamer arrives next week (read a comment that Tonic Sea is dull and dingy looking) - only reason I give in to the crazy price hike on this bra (now $64 in Canada - around $75 after tax where I am) is because it is the only sports bra I have found that I can actually wear (grr at the price though).

I can appreciate minimalistic styling of pieces but this just looks like insane asylum chic. It all looks so stiff and sterile. None of this is remotely appealing.

Ugh. The vest! I love vests, and that just looks so horrible. Also, $108 for a vest is just insane.

Oh dear. First impressions are not good. And I may be in the minority but I HATE that pleat Lulu is so fond of on the back of that jacket. They've used the same on the back of a lot of their tanks this year. IMHO it doesn't lay well or in a flattering way and can poof out. Totally bummed by these looks.

Insculpt Vest looks like some basic ish.

The Insculpt Line is not impressing me at all. Does anyone know just what spacer fabric is? Nothing about the style of this vest attracts me to it and it really is a minimalistic design void of any interesting detail. I don't think the Savasana Waterproof Jacket ll will work for me with the open pleat back and off centre front zip. I tried on the Belle Wrap and loved it except that the back with an open pleat just didn't lay properly and was very unflattering. I am curious to see what details and features this jacket has other than waterproof to justify the $248. price tag.

LLA I was never a fan of Sea Mist but this Tonic Sea looks beautiful and it looks nice with the Heathered Alberta Lake. I should be receiving the same tank this morning.

I found it was more of a dingy green colour...not what I was expecting. Angel blue is brighter and more blue tones. Kinda reminds me of how whites go dingy from washing with dark colours. I guess maybe the word is muted.. like mauve is made to look dull and greyish I think they did same with this colour for fall.

Oh I love watercolours and blurry prints lol...and I'm in my 40s lol.

That vest is FUG. So is the wrap. where are the colors? everything is so muted and blah.

Wow those are a bit on ugly side...thank goodness my wallet needs a break...and nothing on Thursdays wmtm...I need the break

The savasana waterproof jacket was out in the UK this past spring. I had a chance to try it on while visiting London. It did run large and the sleeves were very long. I tried it in hero blue, which was very pretty.

@ anon 8:05 pm - insane asylum chic - lol

Tonic Sea is super pretty, not at all dingy. That person who wrote that needs better lighting. It's a lovely pale green.

I saw the Insculpt Vest and City Bound Wrap in store this morning and I do not like the fabric nor these designs. If this is an indication of what we are getting for Fall then my wallet is safe which is not the norm as I usually spend quite a bit at this time of year. I also saw the Down For a Run Vest in Inkwell and it looked really nice, it also came in white and black. I saw a lot of Chilled Grape which is nice but is very similar to regal plum and ultra violet from last year so I wish they would have given us a colour with more purple in it instead of pink. The paisley is a nice print but I didn't care for the colour black/chilled grape combo.

@ anon 6:04 pm - It seems to fit the same as my 4-color space dye Yogi Racerbacks.

@a non 11:31 pm - yes, I am not a fan of black pleats. As someone commented on one of my boards, "my back looks pregnant".

Anonymous said...

Lol I saw it in the store...it just had a dingy cast like whites when black has been mixed in wash...maybe I was expecting it to be brighter like angel blue or toothpaste...but it likely is to go with fall palette and muted colours...that's ok...sorry was just my opinion

LuluAddict said...

It's a muted green for sure, not a bright like Fresh Teal, but I it's very pretty. The store lighting probably didn't do it any favors, either. It's a color that should be appreciated in natural light.

That vest is SO sad. I don't know what is with that pod jacket. I also agree about the pleat in the back of the rain jacket. I pretty much hate that feature whenever they include it.

I actually agree with the comment earlier in the week and above about Tonic Sea being on the dingy side. I saw it in store today and expected to like it from the online photos, but had the same reaction and was underwhelmed. I don't know, maybe in a CRB1 (luon light) I might jump at it. No chance of a CRB1 ever being made in that.

I had the chance to buy the Alberta Lake Yogi Racerback iii in store today in my size (I know it sold out in Canada) but I didn't buy it. Starved for stuff in AL but kept thinking of the reviews about this article springing pin holes. I don't think it is worth $60 ($52 plus tax in my province).

What happened to all the cute, colorful, feminine, form flattering designs? :(

This is exactly what I'm wondering... :(

I got the Alberta Lake yesterday, put a ray bra under it and loved it!

Re the Insculpt Vest, I need to see it and the new Spacer fabric in person. Is it a ponte knit? If it is a snug fit, could be a good layering piece on a cold day. I realize I'm in the minority here, but I kind of like the insane asylum chic look.

Potdevin happened.

The style of the Savasana Jacket and Belle Wrap with the open pleated back seems to be the only detail on jackets/wraps this Fall and it looks as though they are cheaping out big time on details. Don't they check to see how the pleat is going to work with the fabric they are using? This look may work on some people but for many it is not flattering at all. Boy do I miss the days of beautifully designed and detailed jackets and had I known then what I know now I would have doubled up on my purchases because the jackets today don't hold a candle to past beauties.

Totally agree with you regarding the days of beautifully designed and detailed jackets, anon 7:56 AM. I miss those days too :(
