Essential Rhythm Crop, Essential Rhythm Bra, High Times Rhythm Pant, and More

Essential Rhythm Crop in the Diffusion White/Black print. Shown with a Swiftly SS and Ambleside Crew. I kind of liked these when I tried them on - the fabric was thick, compressive, and opaque (I had dark purple underwear on underneath and couldn't see them) and the mesh accent on the inside of the calf is a nice touch. My biggest issue is with the pocket situation (well, and I don't love the $98 price tag much, either). I don't understand why more and more lulu bottoms are eliminating the front slot pocket and moving it to the back of the waistband. I use my pocket to stash my iPod nano when I'm at the gym and I find a back waist pocket really annoying to get in and out of, especially because I love to play DJ and am always skipping to other songs. Does anyone know the rationale for moving the pocket to the small of the back? Is it a cost-cutting measure or is there a functional reason for the relocation?

Essential Rhythm bra, High Times *Rhthym, and the Split LS.

Free to Be Tranquil Bra layered underneath a Power Y. I've been wearing my FTBT bra a lot and really like it. I'm thinking of getting a second in the Deep Fuschia.

Tried the new High Times Rhythm pant today. As I pulled them on, I could feel the stitching kind of pull/tear. I'm a size 8 pretty much through and through in Lulu bottoms, so this was really disconcerting. Then I looked at the side of my legs and the Luon just puckers way too much on the sides where the mesh insert is. Not nice on me at all. I have the Rise and Flow pant with the criss-cross mesh (and Luxtreme) and they're WAY nicer. The HT Rhythm look and feel cheap - just rough, crunchy fabric with the mesh panels that pucker.
The Essential Rhythm bra is GREAT. OMG, it's gorgeous. I've tried long-line bras and they're always way too tight on my ribcage (I have a wide ribcage and small boobs). But this bra fit perfectly. The 10 was super comfy/loose so I took an 8. It's really nice, the cut in front is super flattering for someone like me (B cup) and the back too. I got it in Emperor Blue. Yay!

See, I think that bra would be awesome without all the dumb criss-crosses. Looks like cheap lingerie.

I tried the Essential Rhythm bra and it's really beautiful, but I'm a 32D and the fit was great, but I thought I wouldn't find any use for it because the cleavage was not very appropriate for a married woman in a crossfit class lol! to bad because I loved it. I got the high times and I didn't find them scratchy or cheap, but the luon got a little pulled by the crosses and my first thought was that girls with bigger legs would have to size up (i have chicken legs so I'm not a good parameter). I have a lot of black mesh pants, but these were enough different to keep.

I don't know what the functional reason for moving the pockets to the back are, but since I started clipping my iPod nano on my bra elastic, I don't miss the pocket in the front. In fact, I have the sunshine salutation crops from the summer and wore them for a run today and I love them so much ! I don't like typical "run" pants because of the seamed waist band (find it constricting and digs). They perfectly stayed up and the back pocket stashed my keys. If it were in the front it would have shown the bulge more and looked weird. I'm dying to try these ones. By chance did you try the sunset salutation crops on? Do they fit similar? If you say yes, I think I have to get these haha!!

Totally agree with you about it looking like cheap lingerie.

I purchased the Down for it Vest in my size down..I am pretty consistently an 8 in most tops and tanks but the 8 in this vest was way to roomy in the shoulder underarm area and sizing down to the 6 was the ticket..much more flattering as well overall :) A tad more snug zipped up but length was great and still covered my bum!
I got the silver one and love it!!!

I wonder if the reason for the pocket move is to avoid seeing a bulge in photos. During a marathon, I shove two gels in each of the two front pockets in Lulu shorts and they sometimes show, depending on the shirt I'm wearing. I don't care and I prefer function to appearance, but that's my only guess.

I was wondering same thing regarding the In Flux Jackets/Dance Studio Jackets and if there is going to be something like this back again for fall. I actually really love the In Flux Jackets and really glad I purchased a number of them when then were around. They fit me better than DSJ and was super excited about that since I always loved the looks of the DSJ and all the colours it used to come in but never bought one since it didn't look great on me. Sad that there haven't been any new In Flux colours - I'm still wishing for Vintage Pink or Pink Paradise (would really love one in one of these pinks SO much), Forage Teal (have the DSPII in forage teal and love this colour in this fabric and really hoped for an In Flux but no In Flux sadly) or Tofino Teal, Boom Juice, Pipe Dream Blue, Bleached Coral, Power Purple <3 Wishing thinking!

I am no insider but it seems clear that the absence of a front waist pocket is a cost saving measure. It is a shame, the number of pockets and their placement used to set LLL apart. It's actually one of the thoughtful details that won me over to this brand almost 10 years ago. Now they have messed with this. Multiple pockets and secure ones at that, are ideal. Especially when you want to run light and can tuck something away like gels, keys etc. Or like LLAs example, stowing your iPod nano. There are many uses.

I recently experienced this disappointment when I bought a pair of WU iii from wmtm. I didn't know until I received them that they only had a lame back pocket (I don't recall scrutinizing the features verbiage when I bought them online, so it is my mistake). I don't use them for working out but when I wear them casually or go for a walk, unlike other WU's with a front pocket, I would NOT store my house keys in the WUiii back pocket. It is a first world problem indeed, but it is fascinating how this brand continues to ruin itself.

Bought the rhythm tight in blue but I rarely wear them because of the way they fit me at the ankles
