I wanted align pants for the past few months, but reviews are so terrible! Any feedback from you ladies about dreaded pilling and seams? It's greatly appreciated!

Yulia, it's as bad as you're reading. The material is terrible quality - I would save your money for something else or try to find a comparable product from another brand. The pilling on the Aligns is unreal and infuriating.

I really adore both the purples and the teals in that print. I don't care if that print is grandma or Athleta, I think it's pretty!

I love aligns. Like LOVE them. My first black pair has minimal pulling but they are from the very start but I buy them in every color I love without hesitation. They are my favorite for yoga or casual wear. Be aware though they are very thin and would show lumps/bumps. My husband hates them because he thinks they are too form showing.....

Thanks a ton for feedback! I will save some cash fir more worthy items. Appreciate it!

Yula: I can't WAIT to start wearing my aligns again.. i LOVE them.. i have two pair of pants and a pair of crops. My mom has a pair of pants and a pair of crops and we both love them. I always recommend them to people and have never had an issue. Keep in mind with reviews, more people are prone to actually leave a review when they're upset about something than when they're happy with something. It's why you never really get a good, fair sample.

That emperor blue.. prrrrr

Dying for the midnight bloom pants to show up in NA! Love those speed shorts. I'm such a short lady though, hopefully there will be good length crops in that print so I can have them as pants.

Who wants pants that show every lump and bump, eww...

I love my Aligns. I'm not wearing any other pants for casual wear

LLA - I am curious as well about the Spray Jacquard Rulu fabric and how it's going to feel. I am also concerned with how thin it's going to be based on all their cost cutting measures this year. The Ready To Rulu Hoodie will not work for me no matter what the rulu feels like because I hate the style of the neckline and the hoodie will feel like it's always pulling the neck fabric back. I don't really like the look of the hem as well. I agree with you about the Split Pullover being too blah for the price, even higher in Canada but these days I am making LLL work for my money by having to make something I really love before I buy it. I would love to buy a thick rulu l/s in the beautiful Emperor Blue.

I don't know if I agree with kellidotca opinion about reviews. When a product gets more negative reviews than positive ones does not necessarily mean it's not getting a fair sample of opinions on the product. If a product gets numerous complaints about pilling then I don't need to read more positive reviews about how amazing they feel and fit. I want to know if there are issues and problems customers are having with that product so I can make an informed decision as to whether or not I want to buy it. Personally I have posted more positive reviews than negative, although I have certainly had my fair share of negative ones lately.

The aligns are a gamechanger. Worth every penny, align pant I did have a pilling issue but the II is much much better. WORTH IT

I love mine they are form fitting not compressive but don't show cellulite. Educators warned me they are for casual wear not exercise. I hand wash mine no piling yet!

I imagine nobody wants that, so they would be more for those that don't have them...

Align pants have been awesome for me - no pilling whatsover with all my pairs (I have pants in the old version and the new version too). Fabric feels really nice, and they're comfortable. I've washed mine too, on the handwash setting in the washing machine, and they came out fine. Apparently most people who experience pilling are not wearing the right size - the pant is very stretchy so you would fit into smaller sizes but every fabric has its stretch limits.

What is that very intriguing white longline bra-top??? Obsessed with longline bras & high-waisted bottoms

I love my Align pants and crops. Only issue i have is they are cery itchy on the seam. I have sensitive skins and wonder if it's just me??

I love my aligns. I have pants and crops. No pilling but I baby them even more than my already-babied lulu. They're so soft.

Well, at least there's no awkward front seam on those 7/8 Like Nothing tights.

ok it seems like there are lots of "educator" reviews here. The one above (not wasting my time getting her name) discussing how people only post bad reviews....BS! Complete and utter BS and we know you are either an educator or paid by Lulu to post positive comments on this and other blogs. You are not fooling anyone!

No, it's not just you. I have no idea what's up but every pair fits and feels differently. I size down for aligns and so does my lulu friend. We both have sensitive skin and some pairs are crazy itchy on the seams (anything from small itch to mild rash) and some are not and totally buttery soft. I also notice some are looser around the ankles than others.

As for pilling, Yulia, it's not the type of pilling like in wunder unders. It's more like fuzziness than actual balls of coloured lint.

I have two pairs of align pants - a black pair from when they first were released, and a blue pair that I bought a few weeks ago. I have had no issues with either - no pilling, no getting stretched out which seem to be the primary complaints I've read. I love them. I wash them with only other Lululemon items, and I air dry them. With these pants I think it is even more important to follow the washing instructions.

anon 1:21pm, I totally agree with all that you said. I've also been making Lulu work harder for my money, I have to absolutely be in love with something now before I'll buy it. Also hate those necklines that feel like they're strangling me. And, totally feel the same way about the reviews. I too leave more positive reviews than negative, although these days not many reviews at all because I'm not buying anywhere near as much as I used to.

Also, seeing some comments that Aligns are meant to be for casual wear only is hilarious to me. This company (Potdevin) keeps saying how they don't want to be seen as athleisure or whatever but then they tell you the workout pants you just bought are meant to be for casual wear only... smh. I haven't tried them, really have had zero interest in them since I prefer to feel covered and definitely not naked whenever I wear pants and I've always loved the regular Luon pants most of all and stick with those.

Totally agree with you 4:53am!

Well I'm certainly not, and I agree with her. I worked in the restaurant business for 15 years, everything from sports bars to fine dining and fine steak houses, and people are much more likely to complain than compliment! They have to be overwhelmed by a positive experience to move them enough to give good feedback, but the possibility of getting something free or discounted gives them incentive to complain, call corporate, or even leave a bad review.

An exception: person to person feedback or word-of-mouth. People like to brag about being treated well or having spent a great night out, so they will share their good experience and recommendations via random conversation, i.e., "what did you guys do last night?" "Oh we checked out that new place downtown and it was awesome!"

GratefulMama said...

I got my first aligns yesterday, as a gift, and I practiced hot yoga in them and they felt and looked awesome. When we were walking out of the studio my boyfriend told me to walk ahead so he could check me out lol.
