Seems odd that they would release another Bali Breeze Swiftly so soon after the last one. Did Australia get the palm print one or is this their first this year?

Also, huge swathes of mesh. Will it ever stop?

Me too! I have never purchased a pair of leggings with mesh and I never will. Just not for me. I did end up purchasing two of the ceremony pull overs which were meh online but great in person and even better on. The hood on them is good quality and the material super soft. I sized up for extra length and when I layered it with a crb ( the original crb) it looked really cute.

Outrun tights and Rush Hour crops don't appear to be the most slimming...

I would love a solid no print bali breeze swiftly. Didn't buy the N.A. one because even though I want that color so bad it was still printed. I doubt we'll get this one though just because Aussie is now ramping up to their spring/summer line while we head into Fall/Winter so doubt we'll get a re-release of bali breeze here.

Is Lulu trying to make mesh their signature thing?? Yuck!

I love Bali Breeze, so pretty. Bali Breeze and Boom Juice are two of my favourite colours this summer. I'd get the Swiftly Long Sleeve one if it comes to Canada, even though I have the palm print one. I don't like the looks of the jacquard print bali breeze though, I'll for sure pass on anything in that.

I'm glad I'm not alone about all this mesh. It just keeps on getting trashier and trashier looking too... ugh...

@7:14 If kitandace didn't put the raccoon dog fur pom-pom on their toques, that would be a very sensible decision. (Ditto for using only hand-combed, not shorn-off cashmere, but they don't disclose the manner of obtaining their cashmere. I suspect they use whatever is cheaper.) Last year I bought the Berkeley hat and cut the fur off immediately. I also wrote a very polite letter to the company and directed them to those awful, horrible and totally traumatizing videos on the Internet that show how these poor creatures are killed. Raccoon dog fur usually comes from China, and it is a lot cheaper than raccoon fur. I would like to give the company the benefit of the doubt when they insist that they use raccoon fur (not that any kind of fur would be acceptable), but I find it unbelievable that they wouldn't know the source of what they are using.

Enough mesh! I hate it. and we all know it doesn't hold up well.

Thanks for posting anon 7:14 AM. So sad. There is no need for using fur these days. Even if those little guys they've been using for fur weren't related to canines, it still isn't right. All animals are sentient beings. It is wrong to think of dogs and cats for example as being more 'important'(for lack of a better word) than any other animal. A lot of people believe it's wrong for people in some other countries to eat dogs and cats, but that it is ok to eat cows chickens and pigs, etc, but it isn't any different at all. They are all sentient beings. It is the same thing either way. It's all conditioning, what and how we've been conditioned to believe of as being 'normal'. The mind and conditioning are truly fascinating.

Please stop with the mesh. I cant take it anymore!!!

Are seasons switched in Australia? Is it winter there when it's summer here?

I am SO done with the mesh!! About 500 iterations ago, yeesh! I remember when I bought my Boom Juice sculpt tank last year, I was thinking it was pretty cool--but that was just a small dose in a tank. This continual oversaturation of pantyhose fabric is very off-putting. We aren't all 20 something girls who go clubbing. Although I am fit enough I could probably get away with wearing it, I am way too old and find it cheap and aesthetically unappealing. Right now, between the cheap fabrics, uninspired designs, lack of color and fresh details and perpetual mesh and gigantic moth hole cutouts, cumbersome, completely unhelpful website (yeah, I miss the old one that told you how much support a bra had or if the item was "body skimming" or "loose fitting", I've been done with Lulu for a while. Gone are the days when I would rush to the computer on Thursdays to check out the upload. Now I don't even peruse the WMTM because I don't want fugly even if it's at a discounted price...

@GratefulMama

yes... Australia is in the southern hemisphere.

Anonymous said...

@GratefulMama, yes. Also, I've read that going to the beach on Christmas Day is a common thing to do there.

Anonymous said...

We are coming into summer here stop with the winter items already!!

I'm always grateful when companies are called out on their cruel policies and practices. Someone on this very board some months ago pointed out that Kit & Ace used fur, and though I had been considering purchasing from them at the time, they're now on my "never ever will get my money" list.

As another commenter said, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE.

@ GratefulMama -

Yes, Australia's seasons are opposite of North America. Their summer is our winter.

Anonymous said...

Rush hour tank is promising!

Anonymous said...

Enough with the mesh...makes those gorgeous legs knock-kneed from the back...

Anonymous said...

Heres a thought... how about no more mesh = me spending a *#$% ton of money!

Anonymous said...

Really hideous and zero appeal. It's clear a number of people at LLL have no eye for aesthetics. To each their own but there is no way these prints have mass appeal. The overuse of mesh is beyond awful. Apparently mesh is a runaway train at LLL that cannot be stopped.

Of course Australia gets the non-printed bali breeze swiftly. Agree, I didn't care for the NA version and somehow NA generally gets the short end of the stick.

Pass.

@GratefulMama yes the seasons are switched in the Southern Hemisphere

Pretty grim. The Bali Breeze Swiftly is the one exception, but I already have that in the ss version and can't really justify another ls Swiftly. Why are all the prints so damn ugly? I'm so sick of this nasty Nike crap.

Anonymous said...

Im so tired of the high neck tanks. They all look the same!

The biggest problem with the mesh is that it's not the opaque circle mesh, it's thin, lingerie looking mesh. :(

Anonymous said...

No to all of this. Bali Breeze is pretty but still no. There are one or two items I would buy from WMTM but the MD price are the same (or possibly more??) than the original price before the price increases!! It's absurd. Even WMTM uploads aren't exciting anymore. They are losing me...

Ha, the white Spray Jacquard looks like the drop-ceiling at my office. All it's missing are the florescent lights.

Anonymous said...

Haha - I think it unanimous: no more mesh!

I definitely prefer my mesh to be opaque in the run bottoms and a lot of the time I like a no-mesh look for aesthetic reasons.
