This one is a bit off topic but this article in the NYT regarding the Wimbledon Nike tennis dress, totally reminds me of some of the commentary on this blog. Just change Nike for LULU. The comments are funny too.http://www.nytimes.com/2016/06/29/sports/tennis/nike-wimbledon-premier-slam-dress.html?mabReward=CTM&moduleDetail=recommendations-1&action=click&contentCollection=Politics®ion=Footer&module=WhatsNext&version=WhatsNext&contentID=WhatsNext&src=recg&pgtype=articleM
@M - that is a great article. What a terribly unfunctional dress. You would have thought Nike tested this out on the court first. Obviously not.
not defending Nike, but what did these athletes expect? you can clearly see that dress was going to fly all over the place!
Nike tested that flyaway monstrosity of a tennis dress on Eugénie Bouchard. I guess she praised it, because she needed the $$$. She has been not doing so well lately on the tennis courts. Tennis was always a kind of conservative sport dress-wise; when I joined a tennis club a decade or so ago, I was told only white skirts and tops, shoes and socks were allowed. How this went from seeing the athletes'abdomen while playing, I don't know.
Clearly Nike got additional press coverage at Wimbledon!
