This is cute, I might have to give it a try - Making Moves Tank in Regal Plum.
Making Moves Shorts
Making Moves Bra. We've seen this before but I think this is a new color.
Making Moves Jacket
Making Moves Tight.
I really like the wide waistband on these. What are your feelings on the external waistband pockets? I ended up returning the Posey Real Quick crops I ordered that had this feature. I really like the front waistband pockets that are concealed in the waistband. I feel they're deeper and more secure. These look a bit deeper than those on the Real Quicks, which seemed shallow and would be prone to having my gel blocks fall out.
An interesting new tank we haven't gotten yet - Sea Mist Ready and Go tank.
Pink Paradise and Battleship/Flare Exhale Energy Bras. I didn't think this bra was that popular.

OMG I love the making moves tight.. cute detail at the bottom! I hope it's 7/8 length
The only thing that interests me is the Tonka Strip Tee. Everything else, including the ribbing type detail, not for me. Not interested in the exterior pockets either on the waistband; agree with you that the ones inside the waistband are more secure. It's interesting that they would mess with such a detail (I don't necessarily see progress or innovation in these new pockets.) Up until now their pockets, number, size, and placement have always set them apart. They were way ahead of any competitors in this regard even many years ago. Once I wore speed shorts or their earlier iteration: LLL back zip pocket and waistband pocket (then two) versus a sad interior "key pocket" in other brands: that's all it took to sell me on LLL running shorts. And then I moved on to crops, and CRBs...and so on, and so on.
@ 5:00 pm - I hope this exterior waistband pocket fad goes away soon, too. I was just telling a reporter today that the functionality of lululemon clothing is what sets them apart from their competition. I don't understand the new non-zipper back-of-the-waistband pocket thing either. I wonder if people have complained about a bulge showing under their tanks or something. I only like back waistband pockets if they zip shut. I like to put my ipod or car key in the front slot pockets.
Regarding the outer waistband pockets, my Ice Queen tights from circa 2011-2012 have them... as well as zip pockets on the upper thigh, so they aren't new. I've never had any problems with items falling out because the waistband is pretty wide.
Regal plum and sea mist? Seriously!? I am so sick of these same same same colors. If I used that waistband pocket my key or phone or chapstick would literally cut into my hipbones and be wildly uncomfortable. I am all about the side thigh pocket like on the Speed Crop and Pace Rival. I don't like the tiny pockets that would only hold a Nano. I need a full size pocket for my phone.
OT: has anyone shopped on aliexpress? (All shipped directly from China I believe.) I heard someone talking it up tonight so I checked it out. It is not for me, no matter how cheap. I noticed that they actually have a search for "LULU yoga" and are doing LLL knock offs including shorts, crops, and quilted waistbands. Even going so far as using "dance studio pant" as the description for an item. Not sure if "Lulu" is trademarked by LLL but we all know it is used to describe authentic LLL. Even if brands like Koydon (sp?) and Alo yoga mimic some looks, I don't think another company is allowed to reference a true brand name and knock off their items? I do know that LLL will go after websites/business selling fake LLL whilst posing as real LLL.
When I'm at the gym I put my nano in the waistband pocket. On walks and runs I'll put my car key in the waistband pocket. For races I put gel blocks in the waistband pockets.
I don't buy pants with zippers on the back waistband because when I do ab work, it hurts my back. I do like having a pocket back there to put my phone in if there's no side pockets which would be my preference. I do like that they have options for different needs.
@ LLA 5:08, agreed, I think many women like the security of the zipper. I realize for exercises where one's back is on the ground, people do not. LLL has answered that by making crops and shorts with different zipper or pocket placements. But don't do it to all unless they are just cost cutting yet again?
And pockets should not be so overladen that they bulge immensely (and if I am doing core or exercises like sit ups, my pockets are going to be empty). I know some people take everything but the kitchen sink for running but that's what a running belt is for. I'm a pretty efficient runner myself and on really long runs I will sometimes wear my LLL crops with larger and deeper outer pockets. Again, those pockets are truly functional.
OOOOHH! Anon@5:42 read my mind! Purple must be the 'color' for spring cuz everyone seems to have athletic wear in this color. Blah! I run with my phone. I too want a zip pocket that will actually fit my phone! The only items of interest are the Making Moves tights and jacket, but I really want something other than black (or purple for that matter).
@ Anon 6:29 pm - I have a hydration belt but because I am pear shaped it ends up at my waist which really bugs the crap out of me. I also tend to fret about belts abrading my lulu clothes. ;-) The only things I take with me are car key, gels, phone, and my ipod. That is why I like the thigh pockets on the speed and pace rival crops so much since I can move my phone and ipod to them, put my car key in my back pocket, and gels in my front pockets. Lululemon used to put a zipper pocket in their run hats, too. I've carried my car key and inhaler up there before, but prefer not to. It's not a bad place to stash a couple of $, though.
This group of Making Moves items reminds me of old school attention to details with the little pleated areas!
I like the pleating detail on the Make a Move line, but not its placement. On the tank, I think having it expand toward your waistline is not flattering. The shorts are a disaster.
The bra looks nice, but I don't do the regular compression bras; that was a big part of my joining Lulu nation: getting away from the Nike/Adidas/etc idea that breasts only need to be smashed to be "supported". Anyway...
The jacket is about 4-5 inches too short. Looks like she accidentally put on someone else's jacket.
Agree on regal plum as a dislikable color, but I have to say that I like the sea mist on the tank. The tank itself is a mess. It has too much going on, but the color looks nice.
The Love Tee makes me sad. It looks nice, but is so low cut that you have to wear a camisole with it, which I'm just not going to do. Life is too short to have to put thought into throwing on a t-shirt.
@6:14 yes, I shopped at Aliexpress. Fortunately I only lost about $150 total on the experience. Everything looked cute and of acceptable quality on the Oriental models, shipping was free on all the items I ordered. I waited with excitement for about 3-4 weeks for the stuff to arrive. Never again will I order anything through that website. Some of the items were different than on the pictures, and all made with the cheapest fabrics and methods one can imagine. I could not wear one single piece I ordered. Consider this a fair warning to avoid the website.
Nothing looks good to me in this upload. I'm guessing Australia got plum bc they are going into winter. I still would like to see Luxtreme CRB in cadet blue they got 3 or 4 months ago
@our daily lemon- I agree. It's similar to the detailing on the Mesh With Me LS tops.
@ anon 8:19 pm - I can't wear the love tee because it's too low. It's a bummer because they're cute.
Snore.... more heathered black/grey and regal plum...snore zzzz..
Hoping for some autumn colour when April uploads come around next week!!
This was secretly uploaded on the Aussie upload as well:
Precision Jacket in 'kara blossom red grape black':http://www.lululemon.com.au/products/clothes-accessories/women-jackets-and-hoodies-apres/Precision-Jacket?cc=23555&skuId=au_3656881&catId=women-jackets-and-hoodies-apres
I ordered two items:
1. Making Moves Tight (because I like the details, design and function of the pocket outside to be able to hold a mic-pouch).
2. Energy Bra *Special Edition Exhale in 'heathered slate/battleship/very light flare (because I have it in 'black' from a previous upload not too long ago and I really love the back details under a say Salute The Sun Singlet II as well as it holds the girls up really well).
I got the Ready And Go Tank in 'black/miss mosaic white' from a friend travelling to Asia recently and I must say I have been getting many positive compliments when worn to the gym or just out and about. Both men and women had very nice things to say. It is extremely comfortable in my opinion, the bra held the girls well, it lasted for Spin, Body Combat, Yoga and Pilates. NOT ALL in one session... WOO... however, it made through all those types of workout. I would recommend it if one has the patience to understand the key to slip it on. :)
The tights look cute but I'm not really in the market for full length tights as we move into spring...
Agree on the Love tee II - cute but too low cut, even when I size down.
Making moves stuff is cute but unless there are some interesting colors, not worth the investment.
Always a little bummed when I see the sneak peeks from other uploads as most of the time anything interesting never seems makes it to the US anyway. If it does it comes in black, white or gray.
I have a Love Tee, and I wear it with LLL's high coverage bras. Who can tell it's a camisole or a bra? But it's true, I have to dig out those bras that go with the top. I am unable to buy most of LLL's jackets. They are too short, even on normal- waisted women, and I have a long torso. I need at least five more inches in length for those jackets.
I like the detail on the Making Moves Tank but not on the sides because it sticks out and makes the tank look wider as you can see in the first pic. This is another tank with low armholes which I don't like and therefore will not be buying. As for the Love Tee I feel the same way about the neckline being too low. I don't know why LLL does this because I would think there are more customers who would not buy it because of the neckline being too low versus a customer not buying it because it isin't low enough! I would definitely buy the Love Tee if the neckline was an inch or two higher.
If the jacket makes its way to Canada I will definitely check it out but I too think it looks rather short for my liking and the neck looks stiff. I am kind of tired of all the cinched waist jackets and on this model the cinched waist sits very high. I would love for LLL to design their jackets like they did 5+ years ago that were more fitted with nice designed back flap and curved hem. Also, I am waiting for some solid spring colours, not black, in a lightweight jacket. I really need a spring running jacket but it looks as though I might have to wait another year for something I like.
I like pockets on the inside of the waist and that's where I put my key. I wear a running belt and have never had a problem with it doing any damage to my tops and I wear a lot of swiftlies.
Making Moves Tank - I hate the detailing on the side. looks like gills. ewwww!
No zipper on the back pocket = cutting costs. at least this is how I see it. good job lulu...
I am sorry but each time I see the Exhale Energy Bras I think about how your thong sometimes shows up when you wear low rise jeans and you bend over. really not an appealing sight.
WHAT IS THAT BRA with the thick pretty straps under the "Ready and Go" tank?! (asks the bigger chested ladies) Have we seen that yet?!
That precision jacket is gorgeous in the kara blossom
anon 8:43 am - They have been making some luxtreme bottoms with either side zippers or no zipper back pocket for people who like to do pilates and other activities where you lay on your back. One of my eds told me when she uses run crops with back zippers for pilates the zippers dig into her back. A lot of people like luxtreme since it doesn't attract pet hair. The All the Right Places pant is an example of one that has a slot pocket in the back of the waistband. I don't understand the advantage of putting the pocket back there rather than in the front of the waistband.
I do have a pair of winter tights that have a side waistband pocket. I am blanking on the style name though. I can put my iPhone 6 (not the plus) in that side pocket and it doesn't move. I usually run 5-6 miles.
I cannot stand to wear a running belt. It drives me crazy to have something extra around my waist or hips. And it's even worse when it's hot and humid in the summer. I wear whatever I need to in order to avoid them.
I love the lower side pockets (on the legs). I can even carry a small bottle in one of those side leg pockets without any issues (and have done so for several half-marathons).
I used to love the back zippered pockets, but they no longer fit my phone when it's in the case. So, those are no longer a selling point for me. I much prefer side leg pockets.
The tights look like the original Ice Queen tights! I hope they are since mine now have a hole after wearing the heck out of them for 4-5 years. The outter waist pockets are fine for gels. I have never had one fall out.
@ Anon 8:40 PM, thanks for your reply on your experience, sorry to hear this. Oh, the site is not for me. I was instantly turned off. What was interesting to me is the person at my yoga studio who was talking it up and saying how they would never buy full retail again, so on and so forth. Claimed the quality was great once you figured out which factories/locations to trust. Sounded funny and like a lot of hit and miss to me. It was not a big deal to them if the $10 item was different than what they thought they ordered because "it's only $10". I guess some people are OK with a disposable approach. I'm not, even if "it's only $10", one may as well just go throw money in the street. I like to know what I am buying and even though LLL prices are getting out of hand, I'd still rather pay for the certain quality items they still produce rather than squander money on the unknown.
I see no problem with the Tonka Stripe Love tee being low cut. Nice little FTB bra under that and maybe the colour or patter of the bra showing, no big deal. I'm small busted however so it would not appear revealing on me. I also like to wear CRBs under my t-shirts in the summer.
I like the love t as well. high cut bra helps with the low cut t.
