So ... why didn't they just re-release the Stuff Your Bra as so many have been asking? I really do not understand this company. Someone clearly didn't do their homework the night "The New Coke" was assigned reading in B-school. Over and over again, they kill off beloved offerings and introduce ... the new Coke.
And I don't know about you ladies, but I don't call my breasts a "rack". Pretty frat boyish and unattractive name. I know Lulu tries to be cutesy and a little naughty, but "rack"? Off-putting to me.
I was hoping to see spring colours coming in the Gather Me Slightly, not a black print. I am liking the Pink Paradise Swiftly and will probably add it to my collection.
....and they ruined the paradise pink swiftly with a print. Guess my purchase of that color stops at the swiftly tank and cool racerback.
I sure hope the new bra isn't a replacement for the Run Stuff Your Bra - especially since the U.S. didn't hardly get any this year (can the buyer be fired already?) so I couldn't stock up on them.
It's like this company doesn't care what the customer wants and just keeps pushing what THEY want onto us. That never works. I can't believe how out of touch they are.
@Rise and Shine - ha ha I have likened Potdevin's decision to scrap the Dance Studio Crop and Jacket and all the other great classics to Coke's decision to revamp their recipe when there was absolutely no pressure by their customers to do it. All Potdevin had to do was leave the classics alone and introduce other designs that were more his vision. With all the new designs they pump out there was no reason to get rid of the classics, NONE!
I seriously adore the gather me slightly jacket. I've been wearing it every day in Los Angeles. Annoying that it's $20 more than the similar jacket from summer last year but I totally justify it because I wear it so often. However, I will not be buying it in miss mosaic. I'm craving a deep purple or hero blue.
Anon 6:12/6:50 - I decided to return my Festival bag and kept the Essentials bag. Essentials is just slightly bigger, but I like that it has the flap over the zipper rather than the zipper at the top of the flap (like Festival). This way, I won't have to open up the whole bag to find something inside.
@anon 11:14a.m. I like the Gather Me Slightly Jacket too. I tried it on and thought it was a nice jacket, not as nice as some from the past but nice enough to buy if only it came in other colours. Purple would be wonderful, especially deep zinfandel or lakeside blue and even a light pink would be nice.
the one and only item I have been patiently waiting for is the run stuff your bra. I wonder if this is the replacement and how well will it perform. it looks a lot like the stuff your bra except for the straps.
rack pack made me laugh. I don't find it offensive at all. Minnesota had a bunch of run stuff your bras and they all went to mark down. I love mine but recently upgraded to a 6S+ and don't know that i can comfortably stuff that in my bra. Bummed. I really love that bra.
I love the 'new Coke' analogy! Seems pretty accurate to me. This company sure makes some bad decisions. Also agree that they seem to be pushing their bad ideas on to us when we just want our beloved classics to be there for us.
I have a Portapottie Scuba Hoodie - love the bright green - hate the name! Gross! LLA, that makes sense that Rack Pack may be a play on pack rat - I never thought of that!
Anon at 7:46, I get the reference, but sometimes Lulu crosses the crude line for me. Not that big a deal, but I feel like the company generally is going more frat boy. Feminine details are being cut, the styles are getting more and more subdued (read: masculine) and it's not really feeling like a women's brand as much as it used to. So then when they refer to breasts as a "rack", I'm feeling more alienated.
Rack Pack is derogatory. Despite LLL's tendency of names past, this one is not clever in the least (and the others that they have used are gross, quite frankly). It is pretty surprising to treat women this way in this day and age. Don't think this is an over reaction: it's odd if you settle for less. I pretty much think: inept, not unintelligent design naming team and same goes for the CEO. Really, get a clue.
Nike would never do such an non-classy, offensive thing. Think about it. LLL seems to be bent on one idiotic move after another.
@LLA - I have been around LLL for many years but never heard of Scab or Portapottie, dare I ask what colours these were? I can't believe these names were used, ugh
@ 5:41 am - Scab red: http://www.luluaddict.com/2010/02/clam-digger-is-back-and-some-vintage.html
Portapottie is green and was part of the palette of last year's Sea Wheeze: http://www.luluaddict.com/2015/08/2015-sea-wheeze-half-marathon-race_21.html
I agree anon 3:17 AM! The names are gross and not as clever as they must think they are.
Also, totally agree Rise and Shine 1:22! Things are definitely getting a lot more masculine and it's a turn off. A lot of my favourites have been changed (for the worst and/or more masculine looking) or discontinued and I'm feeling more and more alienated from Lulu. I'm so fed up with bras and built in bra tanks that don't work for women with larger breasts too - they definitely have always alienated those of us larger anything than a B cup that reason alone. ...and this is supposed to be a women's brand... sure doesn't seem like it sometimes... and it seems to be getting worse...

How did you like your enlighten bag or did you end up returning it?

Whoops I meant essentials bag***
Yeah, Rack Pack is totally derogatory in my opinion.

I like that black and white tank combo. is that a new tank or are they two put together? anyone know what they are? thanks.

Yes! The name alone makes me not want to even try.
The straps are also unattractive and blah. I'll stick to strap it like it's hot.
It looks like a real quick singlet over a white all sports bra...I think.

I was hoping for a nice pink or blue gather me slightly. I might even buy white. That miss mosaic print is just too busy for me.
Yeah, 'Rack Pack' is definitely a turn off.

I don't mind Rack Pack but I have been known to call my breasts "cans" so maybe I'm not the best judge :P
It is a pretty gross name
Does no one get the "Rat Pack" reference? Lighten up ladies!
@ anon 7:46 pm - that was what 50, 60 years ago? I doubt that was the marketing intention.
Lululemon has had some wacky names for it's colors and products before - Scab, Portapottie, Boob Booster. It's more likely it was a play on pack rat.

@ Rise and Shine (1:22AM) - totally agree with everything you said!
I love Rack Pack for a name! Certainly more than Bitty Bracer. Maybe it's because I'm older.

I thought the same thing with the rat pack reference, too. I'm in my early thirties and got the reference.
Pack rat does make more sense! Ha. I did think rat pack though.
pack rat bra really makes sense. fit tissues, tampons, money, gels, credit cards and an old school clam cell phone.
