for the ladies wondering what the pants were with that alarming (bright red) back pack from two or three weeks ago, i'd say they are track to reality pants iii in the shifted horizon print. yay!

I am so happy that this is another boring upload. I made a few household purchases within the past few weeks and need to be good. Phew, no temptations at all.

I only grabbed the porcelain crb this week.
I really hope we get the boom juice speed shorts shown with the dandy digi strap it like it's hot. And I hope the boom juice crb comes to the US next week. Other than that, this upload was not too interesting for me.

So bummed Canada didn't get the blue 5 Mile long sleeve, and prices on everything seem higher than ever:(

@ anon 4:24 pm - I agree about the prices. That new Gather Me Slightly jacket is $20 more than the very similar Go the Distance jacket. I've about reached my ceiling on price hikes. For me to pay $148 for a jacket it has to be really special.

Meh...boring!

Has anyone seen the new
Rio Mist Boom Juice Scuba III? Wondering if it's worth a try?

Loving the swiftly (?) that is shown with the boom juice 5-mile vest!

@LLA i agree! With the price hikes!! It always reminds me of that commercial of i think its fabletics... The girl goes to the till and then the price keeps going
Up.... Sigh it makes me laugh and then i stop because i realize that am spending my hard earned money

I ordered the porcelain crb and the sweater in pink to try. The porcelain may be my fav lulu blue in a while. Hoping we see some crops in that color. The jacket Canada got is promising but agree that they are pushing it with the price increases.
I love that hero blue 5 mile but I am holding out for now.

Anonymous said...

Yet again nothing. I'm really feeling like the designers and buyers have become so out of touch with what their core customers really want. Add the price hikes and I find myself buying more and more of the older Lulu stuff.

Anonymous said...

Agree with others regarding the ridiculous price hikes.

Loving the Red Grape Groove Pants though...

I am only in interested in the Lakeside vinyasa and the red striped CRB. Will need to see in store.

The boogie shorts also look nice.

If you are in Toronto the Porcelaine CRB is in stores (saw it Friday). I have the one from a few years ago and may buy a back up as it is one of my favourite ones. I also saw Boom Juice CRB which I thought I would buy but not so sure now - was a little underwhelmed.

The Checked Bloom speed tights look awful, imo. That is not a good print and also leans to the juvenile.

So I'm interested in the base runners and need advice. The reviews are all over the place. Many comment on the elastic waistband rolling, and severe pilling. Others love them. I'm not sure how much use I'll get out of them with the tapered leg. Please advise if you own! thanks!!!

I was fully prepared to pull the trigger on the rain in train on pullover tonight, I had been checking it out on other country's sites. But $130? Get real lulu!!!!

BIA said...

Did we not get the solid boom juice CRB that Canada got last week? They updated the stock photos for the Alarming CRB, though. Weird. Why does the porcelaine CRB look darker than the porcelaine FTBW?

Anonymous said...

I will pass on the lakeside vinyasa *ribbed. $58 really? and it has a zipper? And online only? Nope! I like to examine before I buy I can already tell I won't want this.

@ BIA different fabrics. Porcelaine FTBW made of Luxtreme, Porcelaine CRB made of Luon light.

The only item I'm interested in is Teanquil tank. Can't figure out what kind of fabric it is though. At first I thought it has mesh in the back kind of like Shine on CRB which is one of my favs, but then noticed it look sheer on front too. So will see even if US gets it.

They rolled out three new pairs of Speed Tights and they're all hideous! The current crop of prints are terrible. I guess I should be glad, since the Speed IVs are getting terrible reviews over quality, so perhaps it's just as well that they're making them ugly. Bring on the Speed Tight V, already...

On a brighter note, I'm curious about the Essential Mat Carrier. Seems like it could be a useful item, but I want to see reviews first. The straps that hold the bag part on look a lot like the backpack chest straps that people complain always fall off. It would not be so good to suddenly realize the bag with your phone, cc, keys, etc. had detached.

Got the same 5 Mile LS that you got LLA
Interested in the new speed tight prints but I'll wait to see in store :)

Just what we needed, another tank with a hole in the back and entirely see through. For all of you who like this and can wear this for your workouts I am happy for you but as a runner this is just another tank I won't be buying. Lucky US and Hong Kong(again) this week, would definitely like to get the porcelain CRB and Hero Blue 5 Mile but not in Canada.

I didn't realize the Rain On Train Pullover was online only...and no reviews. Need to try a 6 and an 8 in that one. Anyone know how it fits in reality?

I got the 5 Mile L/S in heathered chalk. It does run ever so slightly smaller than the two tiger space dye 5 Miles. But not enough for me to go up a size. The light color in such light fabric makes it somewhat sheer, but that's the nature of the beast. It's not a flaw. Even tho it shows more imperfections in my body than I would like, it's a great shirt. I love the weight of the fabric and the styling. I think we've needed a lighter weight l/s than a swiftly. This is it!

I like the Tranquil Tank. Looks like a super light weight, cool (temp) tank.

I agree that the price hikes are crazy. And now they've hiked up the price of the vinyasa scarf. It seems like the product is becoming less unique but Lulu is pricing it higher and higher.

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 5:57 pm - I have Base Runner from the first release and the waistband rolls a little. From what I have read lululemon hasn't fixed that issue. Mine haven't pilled but I think the rulu used in the first release was superior to these subsequent releases. The newer releases are super soft but with softness comes a propensity for sueding and pilling.

I've been waiting forever for a non-down running vest in a style I like (the last couple of years with the cap sleeves? No! No sleeves on a vest, for heaven's sake!). I have the Won't Stop vest from a few years ago and wear it all the time for winter running, but it has a few flaws (sticky zipper, no zippers on the front pockets, no hood). So I couldn't resist ordering the 5 mile vest to try. It seems like exactly what I want, so fingers crossed it fits well.

Anonymous said...

Because the CRB and the bras are made from different fabrics. I've noticed this with other colors as well.

Anonymous said...

I left the base runner pants in the store because of their poor reviews with pilling. And I agree the price increases are getting crazy. Lulu is hiking prices at the same time as cutting corners with quality.

dogrunner said...

I don't have either issue with my base runners. I bought them around this time last year. Love the tapered leg. They are good to pullover leggings or shorts on the way to/from and good for warm and cozy around the house. I often throw them on to run the kids to school. More polished than your average sweat pants.

Off topic I don't live anywhere near a lulu store I had a store mail me "that's a wrap" it was there last one in a size 4. Looking at it today there has been a sticker that has been ripped off the tag that was over the original price. I know stores with only a few items left mark items down. I wonder if this store screwed me over ! Since I wasn't there in person. I'd like to think lulu wouldn't do that... It's a little suspect though. Anyone else experience anything like this ?

angela ink said...

Does anyone know what color and style pink pants the model is wearing with the new digi print energy bra?

BQGirl said...

Might be a sticker from Christmas time. Was it round? The store will put a sticker over the price if it was bought as a gift. Your wrap might be a return.

Anonymous said...

Anon at 9:16am: The sticker could have been a Lulu sticker to cover up the price if someone bought it as a gift previously.

Anonymous said...

@8:07 it isn't really online only. They have it at south coast plaza in CA. I tried it on and it's a snug TTS. I wear a 12 but if I had a size I could size up to I would have tried that one on too.

Anonymous said...

I haven't seen that commercial, but I am reaching my price ceiling too... :(
The price hikes are driving me nuts!

BIA said...

I love my 5 mile ls in hero blue. It is thicker than the peacock, raspberry and chalk but thinner than the space dyes. Really loving this shirt. I wish the boom juice was solid like the raspberry one I have, so I didn't get that one. I got 3 now and I love these. Price scared me off a little but besides for runs, I use it as a cover up piece as well as a warm up piece in yoga and spin, so it gets a lot of use.

BIA said...

I'm kicking myself for not getting the go the distance jacket!!! Got the vest but not the jacket. What do you wear on light rain days when you still want to go running?

Anonymous said...

My base runners (recent release) have not pilled but the waistband is starting to roll. Oh well, they are soft enough to look past that.

Anonymous said...

Ok thanks that makes sense ! It is round and I know the mark down stickers are a different shape. I feel better about it lol

The last several months have been so disappointing. I used to wait for the uploads every Tuesday, they have been so boring I've been forgetting to even look. It really seems like lulu has really lost it's spark....and I really hate to say that as I love the brand. And I like many of the other readers on this blog have reached my price ceiling. It's been a nice break for my pocket book though!
