I wouldn't wear my Lulus anywhere near those ropes!

Out of all of the pieces featured in these photos my favourite is the CRB - wish Lulu would keep making their classic pieces with vintage quality.

Just the trainer in me, but bad form on the suspension straps. On another note, still waiting for the peacock Think Fast!

OT I got the Aquamarine Herringbone Runderful Half Zip today. I tried the TTS 6 and a size 8. The 8 was clearly too big. My concern about the length was a non-issue as I found the 6 stretched nicely. Very happy with it. I never would have tried it except for the almost 5 star reviews. I did not like the 1st release b/c the band at the bottom appeared too contrasty for my taste. It is much more subtle in the lighter aquamarine color.

OT - what are people thinking of their Runderful pants? Just got mine in the mail and I'm not sure. They require quite a bit of tinkering around with to get comfortably on. Not sure if they would be comfortable to wear or if I would feel like I keep getting tangled. I want to use them for winter dog walking and errands. I guess if they were on sale I would be stoked but full price .... Hmmm

OMG Anon @1:52, I laughed out loud at that rope comment! So true, so true!

I bought mine at full price and I'm super happy with them. It's nice to be able to have some pants to switch out with my Feeling Frosties and Dog Runners. (which have just about had it)

I returned mine for just that reason. I was totally on the fence but no regrets after.

Are the new shorts meant to be a replacement to the regular rise boogies (since they're all high-rise now)? Either way they're super cute and I'll definitely be trying a pair on during my next store visit. They'd be terrific for lifting and summer outfits.

@5:07: I'm returning mine before the holiday return period ends and waiting to find a pair on sale. If they don't go on sale, then I'll live. They aren't even that warm when worn outdoors, as the cold seems to cut right through them. I love them, but on a tiny college budget I don't $130 love them.

Nvm my comment about the new shorts vs boogies, I just realized they're both high-rise!

Did I miss the fatigue define jacket coming to the US side?

I tried on the Runderfuls, and the amount of time it took to put them on and fuss with them made me pause. Then, I looked in the mirror and I had a bunchy crotch in them, so I didn't even try to size down and see if the looked better. It wasn't worth the fight getting them on!
I do think the concept is nice. A pair of leggings inside looser pants is how I wear my leggings in the winter anyhow, however what it took to get them on and fuss with them to get them on right just wasn't worth the money.
If I see them on a good sale, like $69-ish, I will try them on again and take it from there. My problem is I am in love with the idea of them but not the execution!

I returned my Runderfuls. They fit fine and I didn't have trouble getting them on, I just thought they were a little too busy for what I wanted them for...to and from. I'll look for a simpler pair. I also didn't like the reflective stripe on the side, it reminded me of FedEx :)

@ anon 2:55 pm - Exactly why I liked that one, too - the ribbed bands blend in.

@ anon 7:02 pm - I don't think so. They're just a variation on the boogie short style.

@ anon 7:18 pm - you mean the Desert Olive one? It hasn't come to the US yet.

If you don't like the Runderfuls you might want to search eBay for Dog Runners. They're similar but have a wider leg and no dropped crotch.

Thanks LLA- desert olive must be the color that I saw the define in. Hope we get it. :)

Thanks for Runderful comments. I'll keep the tags on for now. Good idea about the dog runners!

Thanks for the comments on the Runderful pant. I didn't buy them on markdown in bordeaux and was thinking about other colours if they go. I always try before I buy but have not done so yet.

I DO have a pair of dog runner pants from a couple years ago - acquired at Boxing Day on MD :) - which I don't find fussy at all to deal with the liner or have fit issues. That is good to know that dog runners seem to be the better version of this type of pant. But I do agree that they are awesome as a to-from pant in the winter especially when I'm going to hot yoga. However in Southern Ontario we have been very lucky with rather mild temperatures this year.

Anyone seen the Tiger Striped 5 mile at their US store recently? Both the stores near me are out of them completely and they only have 12 left online. I need a 6.

The barre star pants are just blatant rip offs of the Alo coast leggings that came out like two years ago. Man, their patterns and prints are so boring and lame compared to how much awesome, beautifully designed athletic wear lines have been introduced this past year. I don't remember the last time I seriously considered buying something.

i saw them at the Chestnut Hill Square store in Boston, MA. I tried on the size 4 and thought it was pretty loose on me.

I never understand the ladies who wear their speed shorts as tight as luon/spandex/lycra shorts. I just don't get it.

LuluAddict said...

@lulubell - try the Newport Beach, CA store and the South Coast Plaza store.

isn't it easier to just wear a pair of tights under a pair of looser pants? think we already own these things.

Anonymous said...

@lulubell - Also the Irvine Spectrum Store in Irvine, Ca. Had them a couple of days ago when I was there.

@6:08 - if I owned separate pieces I would, but I don't. Some of us are broke luluaddicts! I originally splurged on the Runderful pants because they seemed to have numerous uses so I wouldn't have to buy winter tights *and* a top layer. Unfortunately they didn't work out but please keep in mind that not all of us have grand collections to select from! Those were going to be my sole winter running pants plus my to-and-from pants, plus maybe casual friday as well.
