In-Store Photos: Cozy Up Buttercup Jacket, Cosmic Dot WUPs, Peacock Vinyasa, and More

Some Cozy Up Buttercup Jacket photos. I am hearing a lot of good things about this jacket but I have other Sherpa fleece tops I like better. It's fairly roomy up top but bulky.

Cosmic Dot Wunder Under Pants. I hated these on me.

Really liked these Dark Slate Space Dye Camo WUPS. They were super soft.

Unlike the Pace Rival Crops, the lines did not line up on these. They felt more like luxtreme than luon.

Aquamarine and Gray Ta Ta Tamer III

New mini check Pique Vinyasa.

LLA did u buy the blooming pixie raspberry pace rivals? Did u keep? Just wondering what u thought of them or any material feedback. I like the looks of them online but wish I could try on first. I feel like those blotchy prints can make my legs seem wider.

Is the cozy up still in Canadian stores?

Interesting! I haven't liked any of the photos of people wearing the cozy up, but based on what you posted here I might like the black one. I'm dying to check it out in stores but I can't leave the house till I finish up a deadline. Gahh!! :P Are the Dark Slate Space Dye Camo WUPS online or only in stores? I checked the website after and wasn't finding them.

@ anon 6:28 pm - Yes, I kept them but haven't worn them yet.

Any idea if the cozy up jacket will be available online for the US?

I just purchased the pretty new blue Vinyasa in store today - love it! Especially super soft and such a pretty colour too, how could I resist.

Anyone know if the Sherpa runs through the inside of the sleeves as well?

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 6:08 pm - I believe it does. They were definitely insulated.

LuluAddict said...

@Angela - I think it will. You can always call my store - South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA and they will ship to you for free.

@6:28 I'm keeping them too. They're fullux so I sized up to a 12 but for whatever reason these are not as unstretchy and thick as normal fullux which I typically hate so I have to go back and exchange them for my normal size. They didn't seem to make my legs or butt look bigger.

I have been debating whether or not I "need" the Fleece Out Jacket; doesn't seem like it's been a huge seller as both colours were available in all sizes. Now suddenly today it's out of stock. Any ideas why?

Yes it does. That is why I had to stick to my normal size even though it does run a little boxy in the body.

Tried the strap it like its hot bra today, wanted to love it but didn't provide enough support. Sticking with the Tata Tamer. Also the sweaty endeavour tights are awesome!!!!

Thank u both for your feedback. It helps since my area never got them in store for a try on. The fact that u both found them keepers is a positive! I got burned by that first pigment multi print. Ordered a bunch of bottoms but ended up returning them all because I didn't like the print on me. Maybe the white background was part of it tho. U guys convinced me to give them a shot!

OT:

The short down jacket in teal on Canadian men WMTM made yet another reappearance, but for $20 more than a month ago....it is so sad to see lulu treating customers like idiots while other companies, like Kit and Ace, are doing up to 70% off, plus if there is a sudden restock or return of a sigular or limited product, the price posted is even less than original sale.....you just have to watch for sudden reappearances and be fast....

What is beyond my comprehension is why plain lulu cashmere sweater would be sold out for $225, yet Kit and Ace cashmere tunic length sweater with three different wool patterns and awesome fringe incorporated into this art product, would still be lingering in all sizes for the blackish color for $200.....why lulu upf uncomfortable seams, cold technical fabric dresses sold out for $160 yet Kit and Ace still have a similar dress on sale for $80 and $130 and not selling out ..... Are we so brand-washed?:)

No offence to anyone please....

I "need" the Fleece Out Jacket. I have been watching since it hit day 1. Everyone thought it would be lower priced but it wasn't. I tried it on right away and liked it but had a hard time at that cost relative to other things I wanted, so I held off. I watched it dwindle in inventory. Then suddenly a week or two ago it was restocked. Both colors had all sizes. Now again, the black has sold out and the berry rumble is getting low. I was hoping to snag on WMTM, but it may not get there or if it does, it may have sold out in my size.

The reviews are good. I like the jacket a lot. Clearly, others do too. It has almost sold out at full price.

I kept the tags on it until today because I thought the price was ridiculous. However, today I wore it and it was comfortable, cute and warm! I'd guess people suddenly bought it because it's tech fleece so it's warm and there aren't many warm options at the moment.

Hi, LuluAddict,

Do you happen to know if the Studio Racerback is being discontinued? I haven't noticed any new colors lately, and a lot of them have gone on WMTM.

LuluAddict said...

I haven't heard anything formally but I don't doubt it. It was never as popular as the Cool Racerback.

If you live in the GTA, I saw both colours on md at Vaughan Mills. Don't know the exact price though, because I didn't look.

@7:56 PM

Well, far, far more people have heard of Lululemon vs Kit and Ace, for one thing. That would be the simplest answer as to why things sell out faster on lulu's site as opposed to K&A's. I've seen comments elsewhere too that say things like "Yeah, right! If I wanted cashmere, I'd go to Kit and Ace!"

I'm perplexed by this honestly. I don't see K&A as a direct competitor to lulu (overall the prices are higher than lulu and the designs are less casual at K&A) nor as the top brand I think of when I hear the word "cashmere." I perused the Kit and Ace website. There are some 100% cashmere items available, but most things I clicked on had a tiny, single digit amounts of cashmere in them, so that's not necessarily directly comparable either.

I was surprised the cashmere bliss pullover sold out so fast, too. Personally, I happen to love it. Not because I'm "brand-washed" but because it's one of lulu's pieces that is very "me." I suppose many others felt the same way. It's cozy, low-key, classic and simple. These are qualities I like, though I can see how it screams "plain" or "boring" to others.

From anon 7.56 pm..

Thank you for an explanation.....I can understand classic and simple, ok....it is just not me, but we don't have to be all the same, do we?:)

I would not go to kit and ace for cashmere per se......I am sure there are better luxury brands for that....and yeah, most of their prices are higher than most of lulu regular prices....it is just WMTM prices and attitude this season are much better at kit and ace as opposed to lululemon..,.with their little games here and there....

I happened to buy a few things from Kit and Ace, they have a crazy good sale going on still. Most of their garments have a 9-11% cashmere content only, so calling them cashmere at all is a bit of a travesty. I don't buy anything from them anymore that's not cotton based and dark coloured, because I can't stand how see-through and thin the items are if they have modal or viscose as the main "ingredient". Most of their tops are also very clingy, and/or leave the upper chest or the back uncovered. I realize that all of this is a matter of taste, but it is not really my taste. I scored two pure warm cashmere toques though for $28, which is a great price. Unfortunately, the pom-pom on the hats is made of raccoon dog (they very nicely call it Asiatic Raccoon), and I can't get pictures out of my mind of how those poor animals are killed. So I cut off the pom-poms.
All in all, I agree with @Anon 2:08 - Kit and Ace is not LLL's competitor, and I'm afraid their appeal and price range are quite restricted too.

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 5:37 pm - I don't care for how see-through their items are either. I haven't bought anything from them yet. Most of their items are gray, black, or white and blah. I'll wait until they put a store in Orange County and I can feel the fabric before I buy it. I think there are a ton of LA- and USA-based companies that do expensive casual a lot better.

Thanks so much for pointing out that K&A uses fur. I boycott all companies that sell fur products, so now I know to never consider them.
