OMG! Didn't notice. A good sign for the new year. How exciting!
Awesome!! Yes, hopefully they've heard us loud and clear thanks to your blog!
The email format seems different too - -more product displayed, and better images. Maybe they are listening?!
Agree completely, LLA:). Beautiful photos. Great improvement, lulu.
LLA your post is so timely. I noticed this on upload night. Was very clear the foolish dancing around, "arty" shots were gone and there were some better shots. However, some full photos still have the models positioned way too far back so even when the photo is larger, you can't see enough detail.
They need to go back to closer, clearer, detailed shots. It's about the clothing. AND they need to use various shapes and sizes of models; post the measurements and size she/he is wearing. Plus, they need to do a zoom feature where like other retailers, you can really zoom in on the clothing. LLL is behind the times on that when it comes to the online world. And as we all know, online shopping is huge.
P.S. on the photos, I will add that when the photos provide all angles and are close up and you're looking on a computer (enlarged), the photos can be good, even great. It's only when they they do lame shots or the shots are too far back that their current enlarge feature doesn't work. They really don't work then when you're looking on a smaller device...which LLL should realize that in today's world, is a large part of their customer population.
Anyhoo, just my two cents.
@ anon 4:38 pm - agree about a lot of the photos still being too far back. However, they have been missing full length, top to bottom photos of the pants and crops in nearly full-on front, back, and side views so you can get a sense of how the print or design of the bottom is making the model look - i.e., does it make the model look hippy, look skinny, etc. For a long time now, it's been waist to knee, thigh to foot shots and never an entire view with just a bra and the bottom so you can really get a sense of how the entire crop/pant looks and what effect it might have on our own shape. Even the higher ends brands who do these "look book" photos, offer top to bottom straight-on views of their bottoms and include the more arty pics for styling purposes.
