I tried on the About that Base LS today and really liked it. The material was soft and silky and reminded me a lot of the Rest Less Pullover. I tried on the Rest Less right after to compare and will put photos of it below since the two tops are so similar. The About that Base is stretchy and fairly roomy, by lululemon standards, in the upper arm and cuff at the wrist. Pushing the sleeves up your forearm to take a look at your GPS watch is no problem in the About that Base, whereas it's nearly impossible on the Swiftly LS and Rest Less PO. The top is also nicely long. I tried on all three colors but ended up ordering the Tender Violet since the store was out of my size. This top is stretchier than the Rest Less PO and feels roomier than that top. The thickness between the two is the same. I'd say the fit was equivalent to a Swiftly LS. This top uses a discreet lululemon tag on the bottom hem and has no reflectivity. I would love a less "technical" looking version of this but I can see how putting on a piece of obvious workout wear would make you feel a little more badass in your workouts. This top is warmer than a LS Swiftly. For me, I'd say the temps would have to be in the upper 30s/low 40s to wear it for running. I did grab a pair of luxtreme Pace Rivals to try and guage whether it rode up with movement - it seemed ok jogging in place in the try on room. I'll give it a more thorough trial when my order arrives. Anyone get this and try running in it yet? (More photos of the About that Base LS

I won't be shocked if Bobbie from S.H.I.E.L.D. starts wearing the About that Base instead of the Rest Less. |
