What We Love

New Pace Rival crop colorway revealed.

lululemon flurry-fighter-pullover raspberry
The Flurry Fighter is back. I really liked this top when I bought it next year and I've been getting a lot of wear out of it this year with all the cold weather we've been having in Southern California lately.

lululemon speed-crop
The Speed Crops have been in Asia for weeks (months?) now. Glad they're finally making their way here. I will definitely give them a try but I've been really happy with Pace Rival crops. I think the biggest difference between the two is how high up the leg the thigh pocket resides.

lululemon desert-olive definitely-raining-jacket
Very pretty Desert Olive Definitely Raining Jacket. We're supposed to have a rainy year this year so I need to give this jacket a try on. I know a lot of people like them.

Cool Breeze is one of my favorite lavenders.  I liked the Let Be SS a lot so I'll need to try this on. Note the bottoms in the Blooming Pixie Multi print.

I am super excited about the speed crops!

My studio had a couple of the blooming pixie multi WUC. Looks like the one in the picture. I wasn't interested because it wasn't high rise. I'm hoping a roll down version becomes available. The print was pretty, loved the purples.

I'm excited for your top 10 list! And would be curious to here the top picks of others. I've been amassing staples this year and as always studio pants are my all time favorite. Wore my usual size through nine months of pregnancy and back (well almost back) and can't get enough of them. Aktough I've just ordered runderfuls to try...

Speaking of sizing, I noticed that the website pants section now says no more sizing up sizing down wear your same size across all pants. Really? Are they trying to iron out the sizing issues?

Would also love to see a pace rival speed crop comparison. Which have the higher pockets? Are the pockets otherwise the same? I love the speed pockets but speeds slide down on me when I run. I tolerate the pulling up for shorter runs, but would want to do it for longer than four miles.

Yay for speed crops! I can't wait to try them! And that swiftly I will be buying right away! I'm stoked for this upload

Isn't that speed crop print the same as the pace rival and high times one? I definitely don't need pace rivals and speed crops in the stripe

Speed crops have been in Australia for several months. The mesh panels behind the knees are larger in the speed crops vs. pace rivals and I think the inseam is about an inch longer. I tried them on and they are great in terms of fit and functionality, but pace rivals come in much better colours. We only had three colours in Aus (black, heathered black, navy blue) and all had black mesh behind the knees.

Some of the recent product pics appear to include speed crops in other colours in (a lighter grey, with matching mesh panels) so I am hoping we get more colours soon.

Speaking of Runderfuls- I don't get why they went on sale in Canada but not the US. The $130 full price tag is ridiculous.

Also wish they made brushed luxtreme WUs. I have the brushed lux speeds. The fabric is super flattering and would be great for casual wear in a WU style.

Love the Blooming Pixie Multi I see a hint of in the Let Be LS! Love the cool breeze and lullaby too! Makes for a nice, clean, spring palette.

My only issue is finding a piece where the print is nicely placed. Lulu does random placement which is less expensive vs placed print. I can go through 5or 6 of something b4 I find a placement that works for me. Got 3 pairs of the Run Times Blooming Pixie Multi and none are terrific, but since they are sold out, I'll have to pick one and return the other two. Waiting for my 3rd and 4th pair of the Pace Tight in the pigment multi to make my final selection. Honestly, I'd rather pay more $$$ and get a print placement I feel really good about.

Looks like some interesting items to me. Can't wait to see the other color ways in all of them!

I have the Flurry fighter pullover from last year. It's a great, warm, ls. Perfect for my Canadian environment. Glad to see it in a color since I already have it in black.

I feel like there are so many crops that are so similar...I kind of wish they'd take more time and put it into design details, colors and quality from the 2010-ish era. Make a few different types of crops but make each design well, high quality, special touches to set them apart and give us great colors and color combos in them vs giving us 4 different run crops that are really no different than each other other than where the thigh pocket is placed.

Nothing here that really appeals to me either for this week. My credit card is happy!

Happy New Year!

Think we'll see the blooming pixie print in the high times pant?

@ anon 3:52 pm - they're already out in HK so I'm sure we'll see them.

I love the Pace Rivals (and my Speed Tights). But I feel like the Speed Crop is too similar to the Pace Rival for me to need both. I'd love to have an even shorter crop with thigh pockets--maybe a crop that ends just under the knee. This summer, I fell in love with the What the Sport short, although I probably needed them to be about two inches longer.

No kidding! The reviews aren't good, that's one that should definitely get marked down. For $79 I would at least give them a try on

@ anon 3:38 pm - totally agree!! I also feel like all these crops look similar!

@Emily - agree. The Pace Rivals are rather hot for summer. They did come out with the Long What the Sport Short with a 9" long inseam.

I noticed today that the What The Sport Short II is 2" longer than the original (6" vs. 4"). That may not be enough for me, but I'll give it a try. 4" was too short. I like the 9" too.

LLA could you give me more info on the Flurry Fighter Pullover. I love tech fleece and would like to know if this is a tight fitting pullover and hard to get on and off? Also, did it have the split hemline in years past and is that some ruching I see in the back???

In a recent post you talked about how LLL brought out so many similar shades of pink around the same time. Is it just me or are they doing it again with swiftlies: Heathered Magenta, Tender Violet, Regal Plum, Raspberry and now Dashing Purple? It looks awfully similar to my Heathered Tender(or Ultra) Violet. It would be nice if Canada would get the Heathered Peacock or Jungle for a bit of a change up from the purple family even though I am a big purple fan.
