Strap It Like It's Hot Bra in Mini Blooming Pixie Raspberry Multi and SE Wunder Under Crops. I cannot believe how fast the Strap It Like It's Hot Bra and Tank are selling out. I had to go to two stores yesterday to hunt down the black bra since it's sold out in my size on line.
Kriss Cross Half Zip in Heathered Inkwell. Shown underneath is the Strap It Like It's Hot Bra in Blooming Pixie Aquamarine Multi. Also shown are All the Right Places Pant. I tried this on yesterday in the Raspberry and liked it. The zip pocket is big enough for the iPhone 6+. I believe the shiny material on the arms is swim material. Unlike the
Race with Grace Half Zip there is no mesh venting spots in this top. The RWG has mesh all along the underside of the arm which makes the arms feel a lot looser than on this new top. I thought the fit was a big on the snug side through the arms but it's a nice long top and the overall design is nice. I might get this but right now I feel I can live without it.

I'm 32DD and find coverage to be a real issue with the lulu bras, including the All Sport and Energy. They don't really cut it for me. Do you think the Strap It bra would be better or would I have the same issue? Thanks :)
Strap It Like It's Hot bra is possibly aiming to support women who are more well endowed but cannot wear the FTBW bra.
Kriss Kross half zip is very unappealing to me due to the ruching, front bust seam (and I'm small) and the weirdo material/patches on the arms. All features others would be into but is the most easily passable shirt I've seen in many years.
I find it interesting that they are releasing bottoms (peacock high times) in bright colours when all similar bottoms have gone to wmtm and they just cannot seem to get rid of them.
@ anon 5:15 pm - the Strap It bra comes up higher than both of those. That being said, I (36DD) do have some cleavage in it but it's not as much as the Energy or All Sport.
Give it a try for sure!! I have the same issues with the energy and all sport. And I'm obsessed with the Strap it
@ anon 6:29 pm - that high contrast nasty swim material on the arms kind of killed the top for me. The horizontal bust seam didn't look as bad as I thought it would but I really like my half zip pullovers to be solid and not have a large amount of high contrast color blocking on them. The other thing I would love this top to have is the dual-direction zipper that the Race With Grace had. I really like that feature. I agree about the ruching, too. I don't love it. I go for the plain and simple styles like the Face the Frost.
@Our Daily Lemmon - I am, too. Did you also buy all three colors in it? :)
I love my Face the Frost pullover, it's the best technical cold weather pullover I own and it's great for casual wear too. My favourite detail has got to be the double thickness neck and when zipped up is super soft and snug and the ruching at the back is nice. The tech fleece is thick and soft, it has cuffins which is a must and the pocket is large enough to fit a large phone. The stitching in back and down the arms gives this piece that added touch of detail that raises it above from being a boring looking pullover. I know some people have complained about the stitching down the arms bothering them but it hasn't bothered me. I don't want a pullover with lots of seams especially below the bust. FTF Pullover is definitely one of my favourite purchases so far this year.
@ anon 5:04 am - I am trying so hard not to buy another Face the Frost but I love this top a lot, too. We've had a cold snap in Southern California and I am getting a lot of wear out of mine. It's definitely in my top 10 of best items lulu made this year.
Tell me that's not a nipple I see in the 3rd pic down of the 5 mile ls?
Someone had complained that the tender violet Face the Frost was thinner than the black--did you think so? I'm glad to hear that this was a favorite!
@Amy C. - maybe. I tried on the TV awhile ago and felt like a giant purple grape in it. I ended up getting the black since it felt super soft and cozy. Even though I bemoan the lack of color in pullovers a lot in the blog, I actually tend to buy black a lot since I have a lot of patterned and textured bottoms. I also feel like a bad ass ninja in a black pullover for some reason. ;-)
@ anon 12:30 pm - Eee. It could be. :o
I stopped by our store yesterday after work. They hardly had any of the new stuff. I tried on the Strap-It bra, but didn't love it (I am not bigger busted anymore though--thanks to nursing three kids). I also tried on the three-strap All-Sport, but it seemed to be short or something (and I'm not tall). I do, however, LOVE the Splendour Bra. It is my new favorite. I was hoping to try to the Vent It, but they didn't have it yet.
I also picked up two of the Five-Mile LS tops. I will be returning the Raspberry one though. It is really unflattering, which surprised me because I normally love that fabric. But if I size up, it's going to be too big in the shoulders. I do love the Tiger Space Dye black/white. It's a different fabric and fit much better for me. I carry my extra weight in my stomach (I'm working on it). And the Raspberry just accented that really badly.
@emily - does the tiger stripe 5 Mile do a better job of hiding tummy imperfections? They are definitely on display in the raspberry and peacock. I was thinking of ordering one to try since my store was sold out of that one in my size.
@luluaddict I think it does. I felt like the Raspberry just accentuated my belly and made it look even worse. The Tiger Stripe did a much better job of camouflaging all of it. It also seemed more slimming in the back as well (versus lumps and bumps of any back fat). I would definitely recommend trying that colorway!
@Emily- Yeah, I can't see going for the Strap It bra unless you are busty, it comes up too high otherwise. It's been selling out in the larger sizes first.
@ anon 2:19 pm - I was thinking that, too, since we've been having a pretty cold winter here in SoCal. They do have the brushed luon WUPs but they don't stop the wind as well as brushed lux.
I've been following this conversation about the 5 mile LS with interest. I bought the raspberry and I thought it was quite flattering on me, even though I am a size 12 and my tummy is far from perfect. I find many of the lulu long sleeve shirts to be very tight on the tummy, so this one was a nice surprise for me. I'm wondering now if I should try the tiger stripe, as it may be even more flattering. I wasn't so keen on the cream colors in that one though, cream is not usually my friend. Has anyone tried on the dark slate one and if so, could you comment on the fit vs the other colorways?
It's not.
It is not a nipple, folks. That would be the seam to the Strap It Like It's Hot Bra underneath the 5 Mile LS.
@ anon 5:25 pm - thanks!
I bought the slate one plus the raspberry and peacock. I hold my excess weight in my stomach because I broke my back so I have a weak core. It looked acceptable in the brights and the best in the slate. I am also a size 12.
