Hi y'all! Off topic but was wondering if anyone out there has bought this year's Rest Less PO. I tried on the grey yesterday and loved it. TTS, thick and long enough on me in my usual size 6 to just cover the butt (am 5'5") but the strong chemical smell, much like some of the seamless pants made me walk away. I looked online to see if anyone made a review comment re this issue but no so am turning to this comunty to see if anyone else had the same reaction and/or bought the shirt but was able to get rid of the smell after washing. The ladies at the store had no experience re this matter (they could smell it too and asked me if I got any feedback to pass it along to them!) Much obliged for any thoughts. And thank you LLA for hosting :)
I would think you could buy it, try washing it with some white vinegar and if the smell doesn't go away return it without problem.
why couldn't LULU have made Run Speed Shorts in solid RASPBERRY GLOW! They always have to put some design or piping on.
They did around January-February of this year because I bought them then online in US. They are solid with a heathered slate type waistband but no contrast piping (which I am not a fan of either). Guessing that is why they added it tho for this round.
Huh, white vinegar on LLL? I always think of white vinegar as a semi bleach/bathroom cleaner. But VERY diluted is ok? I have to do a (possible) return (turn around tights. Did you get those, and keep? Anyone else? When I tried them on in store I was sold but tried again and all I saw was cellulite!) so will check out the rest less again and if it's still tempting I will buy and try your suggestion. Thank you!
You add white vinegar to the wash, not directly on the material. It's a well-known deodorizer. I put it in the softener dispenser of my machine.I have the heathered Black Turn Around Tights and really like them.
White vinegar also helps 'cement' colour - keeps it from bleeding. Whenever I buy a bright item of clothing, I put vinegar in during the rinse for the first few washes.
I agree with all the white vinegar comments. I have used it on my lulu with no problems. It is an excellent odor remover. It gets rid of bad pet odors, just add to wash. It is pretty amazing stuff and very inexpensive and does not bleach.M
Even tho it's days later I checked to see if anyone had tried the rest less po for a review. Instead, more white vinegar tips. And now I know what to do: buy that top. Thanking y'all for the lowdown on how to handle that smell!
