The top is a Race With Grace Pullover (it's brushed luxtreme and a favorite of mine) and $198. The hat is a Race to Place and is $68. I am a bit of a whore when it comes to hats but I'm not paying that price. I'll wait to stalk these pieces on WMTM.

It saddens me that there are people in this world that will pay $298 for tights.

Wow. Super pricey. $300 for tights?! The reflective look is cool, but not worth the pricing IMO.

$298 for CROPS?????!!!!!!! I hope NO ONE buys this line and they can see what a failure it is

They must be utterly delusional. They've been churning out boring items in uninspired colours and patterns all year, and the snakeskin is another pattern that's too trendy (and at the end, not the beginning, of the trend) to justify so much $$$$$.

They're officially on crack. Don't worry, we'll be able to buy them on Boxing Day for a fraction of that cost. If we were even interested. I think they're ghastly.

$298 for a pair of pants?? Reflective or not, that's just overkill. Who's going to buy those?

LuluAddict said...

I know!! The prices are crazy. I can't imagine many people will buy these.

Sadly I know who pays , only LA rich ladies and Hollywood stars that their designers buy for them but I'm not even sure if this will be the case because it's functional but not even great looking IMO lol

Some 'sheep' will get them but they'll be on wmtm. Their reflective wear is never functional as it doesn't breathe.

wtf even worse than was posted on outside online link...

Wow. $300 reflective pants?!?! I'm trying to think of any competitor brand that has technical gear, specifically pants, in the $300 range. Additionally, I think Lulu has gone way into overkill on the reptile print. I see it on WMTM constantly.

Isn't Black Friday for low prices ???? Lol what a crapload. Not appealing at all. Can I get a bargain on something instead, lululemon ??? Wasn't last year the floral garden party and the sequin stuff for Black Friday? It all ended up on wmtm forevvvvver

Why don't they make some awesome Black Friday items that everyone can and wants to buy?? The sequin capsule from last year was awful too! :((

Ladies check out Lucas Hugh , Michi & Ultracor prices. I'm not saying that I'll pay that, but many people don't have any issues dropping $400 for a pair of tights . I guess Lululemon feels that they are premium high end brand and charges for their stuff accordingly

I'm sure someone will buy this stuff, me not included :( Way over priced!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW!! Just WOW!
Will there be any other pieces in Non-Reflective that they will unveil on Black Friday that you know of LLA?
I was very unimpressed with last years capsule and most of that ended up on the sale racks and WMTM.

Is it Black Friday or Shark Friday?

Not only are these way overpriced, but where I live it's too cold to wear these in the winter when I need the reflection. I wish they'd figure out that many of us live where it gets cold, not like in Vancouver and we need reflection but on warm clothes!

FUG! Does anyone know if the TG WMTM is usually better than normal?

Anonymous said...

What did last years Black Friday items end up dropping to on WMTM? $49? $39?

Anonymous said...

The fabletics commercial is spot on!!!!! Haha!!!! I laugh when I watch it!!!! Snake print is not for me.... I'm deathly afraid of snakes and looking at print makes me uncomfortable!!! It's such a specific print! I haven't bought anything in months!!! I found a lulu bag in my closet with a FTBW bra and a dress.... Tags on!!! Does this mean my addiction is over???

the prices are OUTRAGEOUS! expect to see this purchased by ebay sellers only imo. absolutely outrageous... isnt black friday supposed to be a day of deals?!

Anonymous said...

Lululemon's douchbaggery is astounding! What company releases "limited edition" items for three times normal price when all the other businesses are lowering their prices for Black Friday. They must think we are big old suckers.

Anonymous said...

Luckily I'm never a fan of their special edition Black Friday items. Over priced and horrid. Who buys this stuff? And more importantly who approves these items for production and their ridiculous price points!

Anonymous said...

eBay has already proven that many people will pay these prices -- and even much more.

Unknown said...

Blech. Good luck with that, Lulu ---

that is outrageous. I got my reflective gear from Sweaty Betty for $330. both top and bottom and its really nice fleece and no snake patterns, it was also delivered overnight with no extra charge.
LULU is officially off their rocker.

Is anyone else longing for the winter 2013 special edition items? I loved the ruffles, bows, velvet, and lace! I love cool patterns but sometimes it's nice to have some basics that are a little dressed up.

the flagship store is open in the Flatiron district in NYC (area where I work)

I was wondering why the store at Union Square closed. I will be checking this out soon.

@Linh Taylor - lol

@ anon 8:15 am - True, but those people are few and far between.

I still occasionally see the garden party and sequin stuff from last year at my local outlet. They had that stuff marked down to $19 one day and it was still sitting there! Plus, a whole rack of the blue snake print CRBs for $9. No one was even looking at the rack, lol!!!

My wallet is safe this go around. More money for the Black Friday sales!!!

LuluAddict said...

@lulubell - I forgot about the garden party and sequin cr*p from last year. I see it now and then on the racks, too.

those prices are funny! I'm not buying thats for sure...... also when denim brand s release a cool pair for like 298.00, i just sigh and say my line in the sand is xyz and not falling for it ya know. retarded unless your loaded then go for it!!!!

Fully agreed, these prices are ridiculous. Also, can't stand the snakeskin theme. I would maybe pay up to $150 for great reflective tight AND it was super warm. It should last years and would only be used when the daylight savings times have me running in the dark morning or evening. I would never pay these prices: do not even think I would go for a $150 on wmtm (to my point above on what I'd be 'OK' with because as a wmtm price it is still ridiculous...and no doubt LLL you made too much).

The half zip is useless to me because in Southern Ontario in November, I'm going to be wearing a jacket. And I was just in Vancouver and yes, was wearing a jacket there too. Granted, other locales it's not as cold so I can see where the half zip would come in handy with the reflectivity.

Haha on the special edition items: I so hated last year's sequin/star dust items. Hideous and yes, they were all on wmtm for a pittance of the "real" price.

It saddens me that yet again lulu upsets its customers. I am a lulu adict and love the brand because of its products longevity. I have pieces form 10 years ago I can still wear now. That being said it makes me SICK to see lulu taking advantage of their customers for a lack luster product. Why am I paying an extra $170 for reflective material on cropped leggings. I would rather wear normal leggings and strap myself in an orange safety vest to save myself the money. I honestly don't understand what they were thinking. I know that unfortunately there are women who will purchase these items but I really hope the majority of customers don't so they can realize it's a joke and completely unrealistic. Considering their product is already on a higher price point, this spike isn't doing them any favours.
