Did anyone purchase the reflective gear? Far too spendy for me. There is a line and Lululemon has crossed it with those prices IMO.

Anonymous said...

Agreed!! Not sure I would buy on markdown either. I'm just not a snake print fan :p

Too pricey! I am wondering if the wave tight is good for petite person. I am only 5 feet.

Not purchasing the reflective gear, not even on sale. And I'm a hardcore runner so would really use these. There are far more economical ways: I'm not insane.

I like the speed tight with the little weave there, but I'm not paying $128 or whatever it is, that's crazy too.

I just bought a FTB bra for $29 on wmtm in my size. And that is all, very practical these days.

@Anon 11:23, On Lulumum's blog, she did a fit report on the weave tights. She has short legs and the results were not flattering. So, if you're 5', I wouldn't imagine these tights would be great. I think that because the woven part has some bulk to it, if it bunches around your calves at all it will be VERY, VERY bunchy.

agree with annon 4:44

I'm a avid runner and hold ALL my tech reflective gear to a high standard and have a dropped a pretty penny on each piece but these items are obnoxiously priced. they arent even thought out right imo. all reflective capacity of the shirt will be covered by a jacket in the winter here in canada. the pants should have been done in toasty tech style for the winter and the markups are insane!!! i could justify the allsport but not for a $100 markup. could also justify the baseball cap, earwarmet and neck warmer, but im fed up and not dropping a dime on this rip-off. totally turned off by this capsule.

I think the pics of the reflective stuff are fun and I've enjoyed looking at them. But I'm not a runner, so I have no need for this stuff. Plus, it's way too much $$ for me AND I hate the snake print. So, even if I was a runner, I wouldn't want any of it. They really missed the mark this year.

I just saw Fleece Out jacket in store. Not impressed. I ordered it yesterday and it will be going back. Also saw tons of stuff on md, mostly the same stuff that is on the website. Bought tender violet Define and Yogini 5 years rinks stripe . I know they were some negative comments, but I really like mine that I bought a couple of weeks ago

Exactly! I'm not even that short at 5'4 but the detailing is quite thick and bunchy unless it payed perfectly flat and taught.

Lululover, what is it about the fleece out jacket that you didn't like? I saw it and decided if it comes to the states I'll get it (assuming it isn't $400), therefore I am skipping getting the down jacket on WMTM. The Fleece Out looks nice, classy, warm and fuzzy... what don't you like? I think I need to be dis-enabled from all jackets :)

Anon 2-23: I didn't like how the fabric feels. Just was nothing special IMO . Not worth $198

Anonymous said...

I wouldn't even consider it. The only thing I could use is the baseball hat but not at that price....

Anonymous said...

I agree Lululover! The 5year yogini is one of my most flattering and favorite shirts! They wash like a dream and are so comfy. The pix on website are horrible and you have to size down, which makes it loose but contouring. Otherwise it just looks sloppy.

I saw it today in store too. It looks cheap looking, you can tell the fleece won't stay nice, and it is outrageously priced at $198. It is not warm or substantial enough for the cost....IMO

I saw ithe new fleece jacket store today it looked really cute but thin

Are the Free Flow crops pictured true to real life or are the pictures saturated? I like the leg warmers(?) she has on with them too - what are those?

I bought the last round of reflective speed shorts and running bra. I thought that was overpriced (the shorts, skirt and jacket were all on WMTM and in plentiful supply on sale in my local store). Unfortunately, I paid full price for both at the time, and said "never again". I did use them for Ragnar Relay for my night leg, and during the fall (before it got so cold), I was wearing the shorts on my evening runs. They are really effective reflective pieces. The prices on this newest line are beyond ridiculous. Since the last iteration of reflective wear was overpriced and didn't sell well, I can't imagine why Lulu would do another release this year and charge even more! Insanity!

Doh :( I'm anon 2:23 and I, without double checking my work, thought the fleece out was that new buttercup one in the Canadian upload. Crap. That's the one I want! Never mind... but if someone wants to disenable me from that one, I'm all ears!

anon@2:23pm I thought it was nice as well. I'll see how fast they sell. The berry rumble in size 6 is sold out online already. I think I will end up getting one as well. I like the styling details and the fabrics.

the outrageous prices are part of a plan...... so when they go on markdown they are still getting huge profits and the peeps think they are getting a deal...... your poorer and they make huge profits on cheap factory labor slave labor goods! Great huh?

Does anyone know what time the upload is supposed to happen tonight? I hope the Cyber Monday stuff is better than the Lights Out line, I don't like that at all.

I thought the fleece out jacket was really nice! I tried it on in store. Seems to be more of a mid layer than an outer layer.

OT: Regarding the new What we love
I hate the mesh..especially on the SE WUP , it's like cheap panty hose, ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! And who really wants that sheer mesh on their CRB, I mean certainly some can look super great as long as they don't have any excess skin..I've had 5 kids and I'm in shape but do have a little extra around the middle..BOO on the mesh already!!!
On the other hand I love the circle mesh and that at least looks more expensive and it is opaque!
The UK site has all the SE Yoga items up now if anyone wants to check it out!

I bought the fleece out jacket in berry last night. It runs a little small but i stuck with my regular size 4 for a fitted look. It's not bulky but bc of the fleece lining it feels very warm and cozy.

OT - Does anyone know how often LLL has warehouse online sales? Generally, around which months? Thanks!

I hope the reflective stuff goes on wmtm AND that its steeply marked down.....unlike, say, LS swiftlies that people hurriedly scoop up when they're marked down by FOUR DOLLARS. stupid....there's no reason for lulu to mark them down anymore than that because they sell out of wmtm when they're $64 instead of $68.
anyway! rant done. I want the reflective stuff but will not pay these ridiculous full prices.

I like the reflective stuff from last year. I also have the bra and the skirt which has not lining and you can wear pants or shorts underneath. i got all of it on sale and find it very useful. The pricing for this stuff is pretty competitive. look at Sweaty Betty and Nike's high end run stuff. I got the sweaty Betty reflective pants and a top all 360d stuff. I like it a lot and have been wearing it for my runs in darkeness.

Hi, I went to try the leggings in store with the snake skin effect down the sides but they were VERY see through on the bottom? sale assistant told me i needed a size us 6 (which they didnt have in store) but all my other lululemon leggings are a size us 4 and my measurments are between a us 2-4. Does these come up small and does anyone else feel they are see through?
