lululemon-fiber-optic-backpack
New Fiber Optic Run All Day Backpack - $158!!! It has a battery to light up the panel. "This backpack has a fibre optic panel with a white LED light to keep you visible when you're on the move—light up the night!" Check out the great web photo showcasing this pricey feature:

You can't even tell this is lit up. Great job, web team. Why wouldn't I just buy some cheap lights I can clip on my pack?

LLA - I too noticed the ridiculousness of this "fiber optic" backpack, reading the description and looking at the photos and wondering what I was missing.

As an electrical engineer this must FLOOR you.

"Let's throw fancy words at it like 'fiber optic' so we can tack $50 onto the price tag."

I'm looking forward to their flux capacitor headband coming soon.

The pullover is gorgeous but not having a hoodie is a big down for me here in Canada
I wish they could at least have put a detachable one IMO

I got the forage teal DFAR vest in the mail today, and it felt like there was hardly any down in the quilted panels. Has anyone else tried it on? It's cute, but it just doesn't seem like it'd be warm at all. In fairness, they do describe it as "lightweight" and "transitional", but I don't understand why they wouldn't make it similarly as warm as the pullover and jacket in the same line. In contrast, I got the grape pullover and love it.

the stock photo is pointless but the one above it appears to show that panel better

I was wondering about the backpack too....

On another note, I love how each store models the new clothes that come out so we can see how each new piece looks and how it looks on different people, but it seems to me that a lot of the time the ladies wear stuff that looks too small on them and they need to size up. I am not sure why we feel the need to squeeze into a smaller size. Anyways, just my thoughts and have something I have noticed lately.

My store told me that holiday return policy starts tomorrow. Is that true?

@ anon 2:18 pm - I heard it was November 6th, also.

Cracking me up with that bag. you are right, just clip on some nathan flashing lights to what ever bag you have, and you just saved yourself a few bucks.

I totally agree. When I'm in the stores or reading reviews online, I often see people buying smaller sizes than me who are my size or larger. Seems uncomfortable! Lulu runs SO small IMO

I agree with your astute observations on the backpack. I saw it and wondered? Lulu does some crazy things. Honestly I think I could oversee the company better and I'm a nurse. I got the stress less hoodie today in my tts and it's huge I could size down but the arms are so tight! Think I'll return it and buy targets then put $75 in my pocket.

Me too :)! Love the grape pullover ! My first one from lulu!

LLA, would you take a look at the photo for the High Times Pant *Full-On Luon (comes in solid black, Fuel Green and Sapphire) and see if you know what top is paired with the black color pant? It looks really nice on the model. Is it new and ha not been released yet? or do you know what it is? Having trouble id'ing it.

Thx.

Maybe the backpack is better in person, but I agree that the photos are dreadful. It says there's a panel, but the photos only seem to show a teeny, tiny bulb.

My question is what is up with the flap in the back of the pullover? It looks seriously odd. They didn't have this on last year's down pullover, did they?

@11:29 am -- flux capacitor headband, lol.
I just about fell off my chair when I saw the price tag on that bag!

And PS, what are so many of the tops no jackets boring old black and white? I wear black bottoms, and I'm looking for some variety in tops. If I wanted black and white I'd shop at Kit & Ace. Sigh.

Klo, YES! It amazes me how the store models squeeze into the tiniest possible size. It looks so awkward and uncomfortable. As Truvy said, I wear a 4 but a 6 feels so good, I buy an 8. :)

Hi folks, wondering if anyone has experience selling Lulu items through consignment that you could share with me (good or bad)?? I'm leaning towards Linda's Closet, but maybe eBay valet or Loree's Closet....

I just started fostering two kids and simply do not have time to list items I'm not using anymore on eBay myself like I used to and need to make more closet space for the kids quick!

Thanks so much for your feedback, love the blog LLA!

Anonymous 6:00am - Oh I am glad I am not the only one!!! : )
I am a tts between a 4 and 6...and most of the items I buy are a 8 or 10 (especially when the arms are so tight!) I like my clothes to be free flowing and not restrictive - Not standing up only clothes LOL
Lulu seriously needs to consider the ever lasting debate and make sizes bigger or offer item larger than a 12! They would have a booming business more so!

@KLO you totally aren't! I'm between a 0 and 4 in pretty much every store. At lulu I buy bottoms in a 4 and tops generally 6-8. I don't like to feel sausage-cased into my gear. :)

I bought the down vest that came out in Sept. I bought the Fleecy Keen jacket as well. I don't get the point of so many styles of vest/pullovers lately. I like variety but it's like the same thing over and over. I want more creativity if I'm going to spend this much on clothing week after week. Just my opinion.

Not understanding the off center butt flap on the down pullover. Looks like someone had a scissors accident! Do you really want a piece of off centered fabric over your butt?

Love those Green Turn Around Tights. Hope I find them in store! I just got the Rebel Run tights (wee stripe) - love them! They are super soft and feel amazing on. I also tried the Herringbone Pace rivals and was disappointed with the fabric - it felt scratchy and cheap IMO. They look nice on, but I really didn't like the feel of the fabric. I also got my TTS 6 in the Down for a Run PO. (I take a 6-8 in most tanks/bras and a 6 in most tops/jackets). It is still a slight struggle to put on and take off, but I felt my size up looked like I was wearing an item that was too big. I want it body skimming, not tight or loose.

I just bought the black grape pullover today too! Just love it!

I got my PO last night and the flap didn't seem awkward in person. of course I got my jacket size in it instead of my crb size so there's no pulling or gaping of the flap.

The backpack is lame, the price is ridic. The flap on the pullover is silly. I won't buy it at full price. I'd maybe buy it extremely marked down (hmmm Boxing Day) but I could also pass on it because of the flap.

For sure people should wear clothes that fit and look flattering instead of worrying about what the size tag says. But the trend seems to be a lot of ladies wearing too tight and too short everything, LLL or not.

As for me, I am a tts 4-6 in crops, pants, speed shorts and a 4 in tops (a 6 in jackets). I'm very fit and anything much larger looks sloppy and dumpy on me.
