The Regal Plum Space Dye Twist Define photo I posted this morning motivated me to take a trip to the store today - it was just as beautiful in person as the photo and I ended up getting it. The material is soft and thick, just like my Sapphire Space Dye Twist Wunder Under Crops. I have a photo of the Regal Plum Space Dye Twist Define vs. Ultra Violet Space Dye Twist Pace Rival Crops. I definitely like the Regal Plum SDT better than the UV version because of the orange tones that run through the weave.
I tried the Ultra Violet Go the Distance Jacket on today, also. I've been curious to see this in person since the website identifies the material in this jacket as Glyde and I was wondering if I'd like the jacket as well as I do the Swift version. However, the hang tag does say it's made of swift. The material is matte and felt like Swift to me, too - I have three Miss Misty Jackets so I'm familiar with the feel of Glyde. I liked this jacket as much as my black Go the Distance. If I had an extra $128 laying around I'd get one.

i am about to get my first even define jacket online, yay! But I need a help with sizing. I am usually a 6 or 8, should I size down or up? Since I live in Canada, I will wear a shirt underneath it so it needs to have enough space for that but without the define having too much extra fabric (especially the sleeves!). Do you mind, please, telling me a bit about the sizing?
thanks!
What items are you a size 8 and 6 in? Defines run on the snugger size so I'd blindly recommend an 8 without knowing more.
I am n 8 in the swiftly tech long sleeve crew and a 6 in the looser ones, the love II for example. The thing that is making me really confused is because I am small but I am a 36D and tend to work out wearing looser tops, but I am afraid the jacket won't zip up. Lulu problems are the worst haha
I have 5 define jackets, and rotate between size 6 and size 8. My heathered JM define I went with the 6 as I find when the material is heathered or printed, it tends to run larger. My solid defines are an size 8. I find the solid coloured defines that are thicker run a bit smaller. I just added the herringbone define and went with an 8 in that. Still form fitting but with a bit of room. Just for reference I am 5'5, 125lbs, 34B. Hope this helps!
Thanks a lot LLA, now I am thinking I should go back and get the sapphire twist WUP!! lol....Been thinking on those for awhile, and I know my store still has them....
Does this define run TTS compared to other defines?
I got the GTD in uv the other day. I really wanted it in black but I wasn't able to find a size 12 anywhere. I liked sapphire better than UV but have the daily practice in sapphire and have the transition jacket in bruised berry. I haven't compared bruised berry to sapphire but I think they're too close to justify owning two similar jackets.
Anyone have a good recommendation for a rain jacket? In any brand but reasonably priced. El NiƱo is supposed to bring a rain shitstorm to LA. I tried the definitely raining but I already wear a size 12 and felt at least 2 sizes too small
thank you so much ladies! I am going with an 8, just to be safe :)
Think I need that define myself!! I almost got the uv twist speed tights but the colors are too ivviva for me! I am a fan of the print/weave myself.
To bad about the right at rain...mine kept me dry for and hour plus soccer game in a steady down pour, but the fit can be odd thru the shoulders. Before I purchased it. I did a online comparison and there is a very similar north face on the nordstrom website. I have also tried patagonia before. I don't think you can go wrong with either of those and they fit more normal. Not so tight thru the shoulders.
Does anyone have the go the distance vest? I bought it the other day..it is so cute on, but I have never run in a vest before. I don't know what temperatures it is good for and it is swift so not sure its gonna do anything. I have a misty p/o...wondering will work in place of a vest. Any thoughts out there?

Re Define Sizing...
I am btwn sizes as well 6 vs 8. I'm a 34D, so in all bra top tanks, I take an 8. In L/S swiftlys and CRB's I take an 8. 6 in calm most everything else. I take a 6 in the Scuba II - 8 definitely felt too loose...not the intended look for this style. In defines, I have always bought an 8. The problem is my old define is a thicker fabric and a tighter fit than the Define recently re-released. So I kept/keep buying the size 8, but they all feel slightly too big to me now. Yes, I can layer a swiftly under the 8, but I typically wear it over a tank...the 8 feels slightly too loose. I think they changed the fabric and the fit. Feeling like I should go back to a 6.
Anon 11:40- Regarding rain jackets.
I owned a lined Columbia shell I bought at the Columbia outlet store. I also own the Marmot Precip Jacket (thin, unlined). Both are waterproof with bonded seams and perfect for rain. Also check out North Face brand. Any of these brands (Columbia, Marmot, North Face) will make a great rain jacket/shell that will work.
Is the Regal Plum Space Dye Twist Define fit like herringbone define? I sized up to 8 in herringbone define but stick with my normal size 6 in other defines.
