Thanks LLA..Are you still finding it difficult to get product modeling photos from US stores..It's nice to see some appearing here from US stores. I voiced my humble opinion to the Educators and Managers at My Lulu that I felt they were really missing out on marketing now that they've consolidated Facebook pages from single store locations to multi store groupings under umbrella names Like Lululemon Athletica Chicago Northwest Suburbs ..Often when posts are made unless they are specific about location I have no Idea where an event is being hosted..I know corporate is directing a more community based social media experience I just think that it can be accomplished better on a store by store location..I mean it's almost impossible on most days to be able to go to an event hosted by one of the stores that may be 15+ miles away from me. I also don't see nearly the activity on these posts that I used to see when the stores were separate with respect to Facebook likes and comments.
What are your thoughts?

Stirrup pants failed miserably a couple of years ago, of course those were a stirrup / diaper bum combo but let's see how these go (wretch!).

Dancers and yogis wear stirrups all the time- in fact that's where the trend cam from originally. Being obnoxious does not make you seem fashionable or in the know. They are quite cool in person. You don't need to get them if you don't like them., but people will love these. A whole bunch off people liked and we're trying them on today.

I feel like stirrups make no sense on a pant that is too long for most people. They're not hemmable, right?

@lulu- There are definitely a lot fewer photos out these days and nearly none on Mondays since, as I understand it, product isn't put out until Tuesdays when the RFID tags on the clothes go live in the system. I find the product photos on the website infuriatingly bad - did you see the Space Dye Twist Top Speed crop one that was the bottom half of a woman jumping? Her leg position looked like the bottom of a person who had hanged herself. People complained about that one and it was removed. - the store photos are very helpful not only for alternative views but for better, outdoor lighting. I never monitored the comments on the individual pages too much but I notice my local stores haven't been as busy lately when I've visited. That could be purely anecdotal but I certainly don't find fewer photos of the products by the stores and the community pages an improvement.

@Ems - Good point about the hemming. If they are hemmable I bet you lose the stirrup part.

I have a question that's off topic, hope that's ok... I was just wondering if the recent Swiftly Half Zip Tops are all sized a bit larger than they used to be, if anyone else is noticing this? I have 3 of them from around 5 years ago and those ones seem to fit more snug on me and just the way I like them to. I just purchased a bunch of new ones recently, the Tonka Stripe Alarming, the Silver Fox, the Iris Flower (all these ones from online) and the Tonka Stripe Bumble Berry (this one I'm sure is from last fall/winter but it was new in my store this week along with the tonka stripe black and tonka stripe rugged blue) - all these new ones I recently purchased are fitting looser on me than my older ones from around 5 years ago - all are in my usual Swiftly tops size 4. I tried on a size 2 in the tonka stripe black in store and it was fitting closer to what my older ones fit like but I stuck with the 4 anyway for the the tonka stripe bumble berry one since there were no 2s. It's just the half zips I'm noticing this with - all my long sleeves and short sleeves seem to be fitting the same as always.

You can hem them and put the stirrup back on. Depends what your store hemmer will do. The also look cute bunched up. Depends on how you want to style them. Different strokes for different folks.

Pretty sure stirrup pants originated in horse riding. The stirrups helped to hold pants in place to put boots on. At least that's how I remember it. I never wore stirrup pants as a dancer. They always made the crotch sag. In fact, I don't remember a single gal on my dance team wearing them either. Anyway, not my cup of tea but that doesn't mean that others will not love them.

Definitely a dancer thing! Have you ever seen flashdance? There leg warmers were always cut like a stirrup. Also my mom has been a dancer/choreographer for 30+ years, and I can remember her tights being cut like that as well. Perhaps your too young, and they don't do this any longer

Definitely not too young! My leg warmers were stirrups and we wore them over ballet shoes. No stirrup tights/pants. Ever. This was in the late 70s-90s and saggy crotch was always the result of the god awful stirrup pant options. We used to cringe when they would consider stirrup pants for tap comp, ha! My daughter is now a competitive dancer and they definitely do not wear stirrup tights/pants. Maybe they will make a come back!
