Sattva Pant. I tried these on the other day and they pants are really nice now. They made the leg a lot narrower. I have a ton of sweatpants but I'll be watching for these to hit WMTM.

LLA, I agree, that girl looks great in the Pique Bhakti Yoga Jacket!

I picked up a pair of Align pants in store because I was told that they were selling like hotcakes, and I liked them, though I wasn't sold on them. They do feel nice, but they look remarkably unflattering in ALL of the photos I've seen so far, and I'm not usually especially critical of the fit of leggings. (You actually can't see the butt/back waistband area in the lame photos on the lululemon's website.) I'm thinking they'll go back. I was in the store to return a pair of black roll-down WUC II that were sheer, which were $82 when I purchased them. I foolishly didn't try on because, you know, I know my size and they're basic black crops. I am kind of tired of these failed trips to the store to buy black pants.

I bought the pique Bhakti LLA. It is amazing. Soft warm and thick. Very flattering. Reminds me of old lulu circa 2011 or so.

@ anon 6:42 pm - Drats. I don't need to hear how awesome it is. ;-)

@ anon 5:49 pm -for a truly opaque pair of black crops check out the True Self crops. There were out in June when Bleacher stripe was out. The rear is double layered. I worked out in them a couple of times in the gym and didn't find the double layer too hot. The seam across the back of the top of the thigh/bottom of the butt didn't bug me. You might be able to find them at the outlets, which do take phone orders and ship for free.

I tried on the pique Bhakti too. I've loved it in all the pics, but everyone I've seen it on has a significantly smaller chest than I do. I thought it really highlighted my chest, and not in a very flattering way. It was super cozy. Too bad, wanted to love it!

The pique jacket fits these ladies horribly in the shoulders. It's too bunchy in certain areas yet overly stretched in others.

Is the pique bhatki in US or Canada stores or both? Anyone know?

I got the cranberry bhakti yoga jacket but i can see that fading ... I will probably exchange it for the pique one. It looks more classic.

As far at the align pants go ... man o man, they feel amazing. They allow for maximum stretch and they feel sooo comfortable on. They did not look bad on, either! I honestly did not want to take them off. I felt like I could become like Tobias from Arrested Development with these pants ... a never-nude! I could shower in them, sleep in them, work in them, etc. HOWEVER ... they will have to go back because they gave me the worst (but perfect - HA!) camel toe EVER!!!!!!!! I mean, the pants were all up there (not to be graphic)! The camel toe was so obvious, it was almost lewd. I hope they make nulu in High Times ... that would be great. The lack of a crotch is weird.

@ellerlashanda - I am reading of some people having CT issues with the Aligns. I don't know if it's because of the thin material or the gusset design. When lulu was making luon thinner and thinner under Christine Day I had to screen the photos I posted here for CT. It was rampant. Once fabrics got thicker again that issue went away.

OT: just have to say how excited I was to see secret garden tracker short on WMTM. I just got my order in the mail and couldn't be happier as I have this print in free reign and the gym bag and it's an absolute favorite! Where did the old stock come from? Very happy secret garden fan

LLA- OT, but did you notice that reviews are gone? I'm using the app on my phone and it seems reviews for everything I've looked at are wiped. Makes decisions harder as I always read comments to get a better idea about fit. So now with the crappy pics and no reviews how are we able to make a decision?!?

I saw the align pants yesterday. the material is similar to the in the flows, but smoother. I don't like the texture, and yes they feel rather thin. I can see those giving you CT. the tight 7/8 pants are nice, but I will not pay that sort of money for some nylon tights.

The align pants - tried them on yesterday - love the feel, but took a look at my rear view, then a double take, triple take, quadruple take! Where did that Kardashian butt come from and what happened to mine?! I mean, i don't have a body like the girls in the videos or photos, but I can rock a pair of WUC pretty good. I still can't get over how HUGE my butt looked.

For the record, when I went into my not-so-local store I actually had to ask someone to give me the new rundown on feelings. I stood in the pants section for 5 minutes and nobody said boo, certainly didn't ask me how I wanted to feel in my pants. She handed me NuLu and said it was nice, handed me Tight and said they were tight.

The tight stuff pants were too much work - Lord almighty trying to get those things on! I only go to the gym for an hour, I don't want to spend 15 minutes getting my pants all the way up!

Feelings with pants? My pants don't give me feelings - none of them! My feelings come from working out, after which I feel awesome, I feel accomplished, I feel great! And for those workouts, I want my pants to sweat with me at the gym, to make my butt look fab (yes I said it!), and to wash well time and again. That's about it. I don't need a hug from my pants. Seriously.

Most epic review of the pants this far. I don't desire even wanting to try them on if they were to make them to WMTM. I'm confident that ellerlashanda knows textiles and how a woman's body should look and preform in pants ;) LOL

Anon at 10:28 PM - I noticed that too, the Bhakti Jacket looks especially weird in the shoulder area and upper back in these photos. I think it might be because it's too small, maybe... I have three of them and they don't look like that on me, but I think mine fit a little big on me, I can wear a 2 or a 4 in Define Jackets, and my Bhakti Jackets are all 4s because there were no 2s to try(the 4 fits pretty good though).

Anon at 10:18 AM - I love Secret Garden too! I have a Secret Garden Scuba Hoodie II - it's my favourite one, it's super flattering on me! I'd love to see this print back again. ... and more Vintage Pink - I'd love a Vintage Pink CRB and Swiftly SS and LS in Vintage Pink to wear with my hoodie.

Totally agree!! The fitting does not look quite right in the back near the shoulders. Not sure if anyone else has noticed this but it seems odd to me.

The Bhakti jacket just doesn't work if you're especially blessed in the chest area. I really want to wear it because I love the look but the zipper hits in the wrong spot and only makes them look bigger. It will have to wait until I get my breast reduction. I can't wait!

One thing I noticed with the Align Pants, was I ordered my normal size 6 and they were slightly large on me. The waist was good, but the leg part wasn't working out for me. Not sure if it was my smaller height or what but the bottom part around the calves sort of space out like a boot cut-off, if that makes sense. The bottom leg holes are not flush around my legs like a normal legging and I wasn't a fan of that, also around my thighs were slightly looser then I liked, so I'm returning them and sizing down to a 4. Other than that the material is to die for. Its so thin but feels still like amazing lulu quality. When I would stretch in some testing yoga poses I felt like I couldn't stretch far enough to see if I could reach the limit of the pants, there was so much length and room to move around in these! If the 4's work out I'll probably end up living in them.

BOOOO! No WWL for the next 2 weeks. I'm sad. Thanks for an overall poopy week, Lulu!

I've tried on the Inner Essence SS and the tight-fitted shoulders and narrow should seams made the top of the shirt (the neckline and shoulders) hike up when I moved. This Circadian SS reminds me of it though I haven't tried it on.

the align pant is quite amazing been wearing it for two days and don't want to take it off. There is no CT and it is not thin, it is extremely soft and smooth. I love the high rise and for me it is true to size.

I tried all the new pants on and yes the tight were tight! omg what a job getting them on but once they were on I felt like I could run a marathon. I also tried the Align pants and they felt amazing! I still left the store empty to think about what I wanted and I am leaning more towards the align pants just because of the feel and how easy I can get them on and if it wasn't for the fact I also own a different brand of compression tights that do not pill I would have gotten those tight pants for my running :)

I got the Bhakti in pique yesterday, but when I pulled it out of the bag when I got home it has a weird chemically smell...anyone else notice this?

Anonymous said...

LLA -- Do you remember the Can't Stop Crop from a few years ago? All the Right Places Crop reminds me a lot of the Can't Stop...same high rise, same thigh pockets, similar seaming, except I think the Can't Stops were either $86 or $88!

Anon Sept 4 at 12:54 AM - I'm a 32DD/E and I really like the way the Bhakti Yoga Jacket looks on me! I think we are all so different, even within the same size there is a huge variety in body shapes, that we each have to try things on and see how it works out for us.

ps - good luck with your breast reduction surgery, I know it can be such a downer sometimes with bigger boobs, especially when something isn't fitting well because of them! I often feel this way and think about how much better it would be if they were smaller, but then I get worried that I might not be happy after all is said and done anyway, so I'm just trying to be as happy with the way I am.

Anon Sept 5 at 8:07 AM - I have noticed a strong chemical smell on some items that I've purchased from Lulu in the past. It does concern me actually. I recently purchased two black CRBs , one in store and one online, one of them had this smell, it isn't noticeable now after washing. Last fall I purchased a Black/Soot striped Vinyasa Scarf and it was the same, also, some Black Groove Pants too.

It's in Canada too! The cranberry also. Saw them in stores today. Loved the pique and had to buy it ! The issue noted is it bunches up at the collar, but with the neck being scrunchy it doesn't bother me. Sizing note : I took a size down to a 4 (32C, 26 waist), bc the 6 had waay too much fabric in the chest area. Nice, thick Luon, but plastic feeling zipper. Would have preferred a metal zipper like they had last year!
