A reader asked whether the new batch of Defines fit larger than older ones so I compared my new Jeweled Magenta to a very old Potion Purple one. I was surprised to see that the JM was a little bit bigger. However, I also compared it to a
Pow Pink Define and they were the same size so I'd write down any differences to manufacturing tolerances. The new Heathered Jeweled Magenta is a thinner, silky feeling luon so it might feel less compressive and stretchier than a solid luon fabric. However, the material is more apt to show lumps and bumps. My recommendation is to get your normal Define size.

btw, I too have the Potion Purple Define, it was my first ever Define and the one which started my Define and Forme Jacket addiction!
On the subject of Defines...I just wore my Black Cherry Define for the 1st time yesterday and today. I found the fabric very thin and cheap feeling. The cut was too big...some tenting issues at the front bottom, also some puckering in the front on the front along the zipper...really disappointing. I just get the stuff and throw it in the closet when it comes. I shld no better than to assume. Lesson learned. Try it on right away.
I love the color and it's been a while so I guess I'm stuck with it....at least for now.

I noticed that the HJM Define has a smaller zipper and zipper pull than my older Defines, including one from earlier this year. I'm not sure if this is a concerted design tweak or something that is specific to the HJM, but I think I prefer the larger zipper. It seems stronger and less prone to breaking or malfunctioning.
