Heat Wave Cool Racerback with Tech Mesh High Times (CRB not in North America yet).

Ghost Weave Wild Tank
I went to my store today to check out the Var-City Muscle Tank - got one (the Navy and Black were super soft but I thought the Sea Mist was scratchy and a little stiff) - and saw these Prickly Pear Print Jet crops. I also tried on the new Scoop Back Tank and liked it. If it comes in some fun prints or colors I will definitely get one. I also bought the Clear Mint Swiftly tank. I saw a side by side comparison photo and Clear Mint is a duplicate for Faded Zap. I got my Iridescent Multi Studio Racerback tank today but not sure if I am going to keep it. The print is very Athleta-like IMO. I'll post some photos, along with some coordinating colors, of it tomorrow when I have bright sunlight.

LLA, do you feel like the quality of Luon has changed? I tried the Savasana wrap and Bhatki jacket and the luon feels thinner and a bit scratchy compared to old Luon. Not sure if I am going crazy or the material is actually different.
I tried the Var-City crops since they looked nice on the website, but the pattern at the bottom bunches kinda odd when you move around. The material also felt like pantyhose.

I'm returning my Iridescent Multi SRB. It's not as pretty or vibrant in person as I was expecting, and the yellow patches look like urine stains. D: Plus it's white-backed fabric, and even though I sized up, it still fades out on me in the boob area. Disappointed!
Wow - enough with the mesh already! These items aren't even cute.
The black and white CRB is growing on me though. It's a good top to go with bright solid colored crops/pants. Hopefully it's not thin and made of too much polyester.
And while I might be tempted to pick up a cactus shirt on MD - those crops, not ever. :)
@Elle- overall, I think the quality has gotten better than what is was at the nadir of the Pantsgate. Fabrics also seem thicker, too, for the most part.
Did you try on the Heathered Slate Bhakti? I think fabrics like that tend to feel thinner - i.e, a heathered version of a luon - than a solid colored luon. Some of the luons I have felt, though, have felt scratchy. The gray/black luon in the Slim Jet crops was thick but felt awful and super scrathcy on. I don't know what was going on with that.
Fabrics change feel with print, color, and where it's manufactured and it's been this way for years and years. I try and identify what I consider soft feeling and/or opaque when I try it on and I know people are super helpful in the comments, too, when it comes to feedback on the fabric.
@ anon 4:30 pm - Yeah, the Iridescent Multi is a little washed out in person. I also want a cactus shirt on markdown, lol. The print is much cuter in person but I'm not getting the pants, either. I totally want a ghost weave print top but not sure about the Heat Wave print.
That outfit on top is bizarre. If you're layering tops and wearing a jacket, flip flops might not be appropriate for the weather.
Surprised it took so long for the Athleta-ness of Iridescent Multi to go acknowledged! I was a little surprised about how much love it seemed to get here, considering how much this blog's audience seems to dislike Athleta's prints.
Hi OT but I was wondering if anyone has the black/white parallel stripe wuc's from Jan 2014? I just love mine and want another pair of crops/pants that are just as soft. Every other WU I try on is not nearly as soft and comfortable as the parallel stripe ones. Can anyone recommend another pair of super soft stretchy pants that are similar?
anon@5:19 PM - I think the WAFS WUC from around the same time are equally as soft. I know what you're talking about, they felt really different to me and actually soft as cotton and super stretchy. Like the fatigue green WAFS and the zing pink/cadet blue WAFS. Also a black/cashew WAFS but I forget if that was as soft. Probably?
To anon 5.19
I know, the PS WUP and WUC were a size down because they were so incredibly soft and cottony
I would say the current cotton ones are the closest...and maybe if WAFS fabric comes back...otherwise- none of the luon ones will feel similar IMHO
Anon 5:19 here. Thanks for the input I actually haven't tried the current cotton wu's that are out right now. Going to return my grooves as the material feels so cheap compared to the old ones. I basically live in my ps wu's and studio pants. I would spend so much more money if they just made the same material as the ps wu's in all wu's that'd be awesome :)
I'm considering the hug it out jacket on WMTM. Any feedback? Thanks!
Hi LLA,
Just a quick note on the tech mesh High Times you said aren't available in North America yet...I bought a pair online (CAN) a couple of weeks ago! So they definitely have dropped here. Fit wise I find that the shinier fabric causes them to fall down and I am constantly pulling them up, but I love the dots in the mesh. I am a little worried that they will not hold up to wear and tear however.
Tech Mesh High Times were in California 2 months ago. I bought mine in San Francisco
I just got my iridescent multi SRB and have to say I kind of like it, maybe bc it's something different. This SRB runs a bit tighter than the three solid colors I have (slate, vintage pink, and menthol) though, and for now I'm hanging on to my receipt.
I think the ghost weave print in this tank is cuter, and possibly more versatile as well.
@Kimberly - Oops, I meant the CRB wasn't here yet. :) I fixed the post to clarify.
@ anon 1:22 pm - I thought it was on the tighter side, too.
Agree on whatever with/enough of the mesh. Zero appeal to me. Imho everything that is out now is fugly and that means my money is safe. It also means I do not have to keep my eye on wmtm; sometimes I will wait for markdown on select items. The exception on nothing being appealing is a few Swiftly items and FTBW bras.
Regarding WU softness and someone's mention above: have a pair and the black cashew wafs WUC are VERY soft.
Re: outfit but wearing flip flops - stores/models have many styling errors and really don't seem to give it much thought. It's pretty dumb because they are trying to sell you using the images but mess up quite often with footwear.
I must have the heat wave CRB. This print is the first I've been really into for a while. Does anyone know when these will hit the US? Also is it backed in white? Will it look weird over a preggo belly? I'm thinking CRB's will be my go to when I start showing. Also does anyone have any recommendations for tights while pregnant? Do roll down wunder unders stay up?
I would think it's going to hit soon - this week or next. I am pretty sure it's backed in white, too.
My roll down WU's would be too compressive for my taste while pregnant, it would bother me. But I could do High Times for a while probably! There was actually a post I saw on styling lulu for maternity. I think ebb to flow pants would be good too. Haha sorry for the long post, lulu & babies are my two biggest interests.
I'm actually preferring high rise WUs for pregnancy. (I'm five months.) Although I should say mine were a bit too big and slid down before hand. I also really like the high times, especially for the early months when you don't really want the whole gym to know. So far, regular WU and inspires are also fine since they fit right below the bump. But I still like the extra support form the high rise pants better. I've also been buying loose fitting to from pants like crazy! 9Can't wait for my Jet Crops to arrive!)
I wore the roll up wonder unders while pregnant almost daily. They were the most comfortable thing I owned and still wear them a lot post partum because the help hide the mummy tummy that sits just above the waistband on normal wonder unders. As far as CRBs go, those were my go tos under every top and even now they are fantastic because I can just lift the shirt I wear n top and pull the neckline down. CRBs are totally nursing friendly
What size? I have a pair of size 4 parallel strip WU crops from January 2014 new with tags. I bought 2 pairs at the time thinking I'd wear them much more than I do. I'd be willing to sell. You can email me at yellowbrehm@aim.com if you're interested.
Man, I am really loving those Prickly Pear jet crops! I'm a sucker for a good nopalito print! I would totally rock those, but not at full price.
Hopefully everyone will hate this print and they will end up on WMTM (evilly rubs hands together)
@ Deezee007 - pretty safe bet everyone will hate it. :)
deezee007 I bet they will go to WMTM as well, so lucky you.

Hey LLA
Where'd that Ghost Weave / White FTBW tank pic come from?
I need that one!
