Black cherry WUC weren't uploaded...are they in US stores already?
I would buy that tank on WMTM fir $29 but heck no for $64! I feel that $64 price for tanks should be reserved for built-in-bra supportive amazing tanks...not an over layer.
Glad they showed the IYL LS over a tank. I just can't get into shirts that show 100% of my sports bra, even if it's a cute, nice one. Would wear it this way though.
While I'm not into the mesh cut outs and open backs, the "outfits" featured here really sell the looks IMO. Almost makes me think that I could rock one of them... but then I remember my age and body type... oh well. ;)
Already sick of this capsule. But those black cherry WUCs are delicious!
@ anon 10:38 pm - I tried them on at my store yesterday. Those and the Naval Blue ones.
The strip down the middle of the If You're Lucky SS reminds me of thong underwear. I know Lulu is bad when I start looking to Athleta for gear.
the light speed long sleeve, felt like it would get hot when sweating.
I like the cut and the green color is really nice, it is 100% which I think would be very warm.

Are the black cherry WU's fullon luon?
I don't have very high hopes for the black cherry WUCs. I know everyone was raving about their black cherry high times but mine were sheer so I sent them back. I have gotten into the habit of asking someone I trust to take a photo of me both in a forward bend and a deep squat, before I take the tags off any of my workout pants. It is surprising what a photo will reveal, that, all too often a glance in a 3way mirror in low lighting will conceal.
i think the pics of the lady in barre class quite awful, sorry. so much color and floral all over the place! keep it simple!
What happened to pink FTBW bras for Canada? Are they sold out in a day? Do you know if stores will have them or not ?:(
Still really hate the whole "if you're lucky" line so far. The crops are the best but only because the tops are so awful.
anon 3:27, i think you are wearing yours too small if you can see through yours, i have the high times too and they ARE NOT SEE THROUGH!!!!! Bugs me when people say they are! They are fab smooth silky and totally opaque.
Wow all this new stuff is super FUG. my $ is safe this week.
On the contrary, these outfits do not sell me at all on this mesh stuff. I can wear an open back and am happy to bare my shoulders in a CRB. I just find these tops unappealing, unattractive, and impractical. I agree the strips of mesh look like a thong. Seeing any bra straps and the mesh strips, there is just too much going on.
I don't find these tops modern or thoughtful. I really don't get it actually. It's just a "put it out there and see if they buy it" type of thing, in my opinion. They are certainly not worth the exorbitant prices. Maybe they're worth $30 but I wouldn't even pay that as a regular price or marked down, I don't care what logo is on it. And yes, I have worn LLL for a loong time. The brand is simply not what it used to be.
these new flower prints on the crops are hideous. I am just waiting and waiting for new in the flow crops in normal colors like pink, baby blue, light grey... not these weird prints and enough with the browns/blacks, "fatiged green" and "heathered wren".. the current colors are so bad not even the ebay scalpers want them. Please release some sexy fresh colors... not ugly greens, grays etc.
@5:53 pm, have you tried having someone take a photo of you in a deep squat, just wondering because it is a much more reliable method to check for sheerness. I was surprised myself when I did this for the black cherry high times because they didn't look sheer to me when I checked them in the mirror. Without going into great detail about sizing, no I was not wearing a too small size, have many other pants in same size that pass the photo test. Black cherry were sheer though, and I was really bummed as they are made in Canada...so I was expecting perfection really, but they fell far short.
I actually liked the IYL tank when it was first shown on Britt's Picks, but now I think the back is way too revealing...it almost looks like a teddy! Add a few more inches of mesh to the bottom and you got yourself lingerie. Maybe that's why it's called If You're Lucky? I'm still in my 20's with a slim frame so I think I might be able to pull it off, but I don't think I'd be comfortable with the inevitable stares I would get if I ever wore the tank out in public. And charging $64 is a huge slap in the face!
I'm still not sold on the IYL LS and SS either. The drapey back doesn't seem too practical. If it gets caught on something...well then good luck. I'd rather save myself the embarrassment =/
@Jackie - I liked the white Moody Mirage If You're Lucky crops but I know I'd wear them once and be tired of them. I bought the Deep Navy Moody Mirage Energy bra. I don't mind a peep of print showing underneath a 105F or pullover.
@7:41pm, I agree with you for the most part, a lot of this mesh stuff is a fail for the designers, but you have to admit the If you're lucky long sleeve is quite a beautiful piece. Now maybe it's not the most practical thing to wear for any sort of workout endeavor, but for casual wear, to and from, etc, I think it is on trend and will appeal to many. The rest of the "If you're lucky" line....not so much.
I don't mind that Lulu takes risks with new designs, I just wish it wouldn't be their focus. The focus should be on the core items with some new design launches scattered throughout the year. Lately it's just week after week of (majority) fug stuff. And it seems like what should be the cash cow core items are not given the attention they deserve.
Perfect example is the CRB. Lord only knows what the profit margin is on it. it requires minimal material and labor to construct and retails for a cool $42. Ask a core Lulu customer if they need any more CRBs and you will hear a resounding "No, but I can't resist adding more to my collection if it comes out in a color or pattern that I love". Yet, the CRB is treated like the bastard stepchild by the designers, "Oh that old thing, just make it in some more ugly stripe patterns, we need to save all our good material for untried risky designs that will end up at the outlet sale for $10"
I ordered the if you're lucky bra in vintage pink and the high times pant in desert snake. Can't wait to get them!! Looking forward to wearing the bra to hot yoga with my in the flow crops. The high times are brand new for me. Love that black on blacks name print. I can see myself wearing them out as well as to yoga.
I'm usually between a 4 and 6 in lulu leggings. I got the HT in a 6 in snakeskin and they are quite sheer in a deep forward bend. Think there are few bad batches!
@ anon 9:18 pm - I couldn't agree more.
@anon 8:48 pm - I totally agree with you! Even if one wears it well, oh the inevitable stares. I, too, wouldn't be too comfortable with that.
I don't mind and open back, but the tank is 360!
I totally agree with 9:18 and LuluAddict. Put the lovely Lulu palette and interesting prints on core pieces.
Particularly, no more dull colors and stripes for CRBs. Like you, I can't resist solid gorgeous CRB colors even though I have collected many racer backs over the years.
In fact, in one of my recent comments on the LULU site, I urged HEY LULULEMON to have a CRB color contest a la favorite vintage item. How many people would love an Alberta Lake or Guava Lava or true red CRB to name just a few?!
Moreover, I would have certainly bought a CRB in Moody Mirage, Harbor Blue Brush Stroke, or even Multi Blushed Illusion. (Admittedly I did laugh at the comparison of that illusion print to a 1980s cushion for a wicker chair. Too true, but I like the beachy feel & colors anyway.)
I also think sprinkling new designs would be a sensible approach.
That being said, what I love best about Lulu is that it is functional AND figure flattering. I am a mom (ie.no longer in my 20s or 30s), I am short and I have thick muscular legs. Still, I work out hard & I find Lulu's classic pieces make me feel even better about going to the gym or studio. On the other hand, most items in the to-and-from capsules seem more intent on being trendy than flattering the female form. If LLL made a sweater that made me feel as trim as my Be Present or Define, I'd buy it in a minute.
Thanks for your hard work, LuluAddict
I meant to say it is 100% nylon in regards to the light speed long sleeve.
Jill let us know how that bra performs in the hot yoga room.

WMTM seems decent for all you lucky size 10s out there ;) Only snagged a 105f in my size tonight, and the sad part is that this is my first lulu purchase in a WHILE. What gives? Oh well, my bank account is thankful.
