I have the Wild Tank in heathered black/black. LOVE it. Fit is TTS and nice airy top for a sweaty vinyasa practice or spin class. I'm very interested in the new colors!
Question on the Wild tanks - Can anyone describe the quality/sturdiness of the "seriously light luon" fabric? I remember LLL put out a sort of No Limits type tank a few years ago, but that the actual tank part was this awful fragile cotton-like fabric that wouldn't retain elasticity, stretched out, etc. I love the wild tanks, but I need clothes that I can work out in without worrying that I'm going to wreck them.
OT re products, but related as to COLORS! Can anyone comment on the difference in color of Atomic Red, Heathered Atomic Red, Very Light FLare, & Heathered Very Light Flare? Which = more red? Which = more orange? Do any appear more saturated?
Would love to see a fabric color comparison, as I don't live near a store and have to guess as to the colors on my monitor!
Does anyone know how much longer we have to return christmas items?
Thanks!
@ anon 11:32 am - the seriously light luon is the same fabric used in the 105F singlets. I've had my 105Fs awhile and they've held up nicely. However, I do not roll around on mats with them. Maybe someone who does can chime in.
@anon 11:32, I believe the tank you're talking about is the Practice Freely. I have a couple of them...they're airy and light but they do stretch out if I do cardio in them, so I use them for weight-lifting only.
I have the dark gray Wild tank and find it's more substantial than the Practice Freely. I'm planning to buy one of the new colors, I like it that much. I'm also a big fan of the 105f, which like LLA said, hold up really well too.
Any idea on the price of the runaway jacket? Thanks!
Anyone know how much the Runaway Jacket is? I am very curious about this jacket :)
Wild tanks are a bit delicate, but I find them still sturdier than either my Practice Freely or my NLT. I have the blush/white and the grey, and the fit on the grey is actually a little tight. They're both my normal tank with bra size (6) but for some reason that color is just more snug. Since I have two I won't get any of the new colors but I would personally probably try on your regular size and a size up just to be sure.
Saw runaway jacket in my store. Nothing to write home about. Exchanged my Mantra Tote for a Resolution Hobo, the mantra tote was such garbage. The thing wouldn't stay on my shoulder worth a damn and it was too much trouble trying to get it to work with me while I walk everywhere in the frigid cold. That's been the problem with every lulu bag I've bought over the past 6 months or so. Poorly distributed weight and you have to fight with your bag to stay on.
Oh and for all the stress less hoodie haters, I currently have the hood pulled up under my coat, it's a godsend. More effective than my serious scarves at keeping the wind out.
What is with all the clown like patterned pants??
Speaking as a 5 foot tall muscular/curvy person, I find it REALLY annoying that Lulu does not make petite sizes. I love those vests but they don't fit me AT ALL. I can almost deal with the fact that tanks are always way too long on me - and I'm talking from the straps, not just the length - but surely there is enough of a market of women under 5'-4" that Lulu could make some money on us vertically challenged people. LLA, I know you and plenty of other women have a similar issue with the lack of size twelves offered. Makes no sense. Ok - Rant done.
I was in a store today and saw the Runaway jackets - cute fabric pattern - but honestly when the wind is howling and it's below zero, a thin shell-type jacket is the last thing on my mind. Left empty handed and wallet full.
@ anon 5:26 pm - I KNOW!! My sister is 4'11" and has a very hard time buying lululemon. There are quite a few things she cannot buy. Lululemon is leaving money on the table, or rather, handing it over to Athleta. I have two friends who shop at Athleta over lululemon because of their petites. I got to meet lululemon's recent new Global Fit Director - they hired her out of OC - and told her they should seriously consider offering petite options in core styles.
I'm 5'6, but all my height is in my torso. I find everything to run SO short on me:(
I'm glad you did that! Athleta offers petite tops AND they tailor straps for free. So I know I can get tops there that hold me in when I'm teaching. I love lululemon's cut, fabric and patterns, but the recent duds and crappy attitudes towards the diversity in women's bodies has left me shopping there less and less.
For reference, I am a muscular 105lbs and barely 4'11 on a TALL day. I teach yoga and need my chest (30 C) not to flop out :)
Lol you don't need the stress less hoodie specifically to keep the wind out. Some of us are "haters" because it has no special features/feminine details Lulu is known for. It's a plain sweatshirt. With a hood. I have some tech fleece, Sherpa fleece tops that also do a great job of keeping the wind out. And look far cuter than the stress less. You like it, great but don't hate the rest of us who don't.
what does OC mean LLA? I think lulu doesn't do size 2 or 12 that well.
I find that their stuff fits me quite well I am usually a 4 in lulu.
5'-3" and pretty busty. what I don't like is that they don't offer much in terms of good covering on top for busty ladies who workout hard. I hate showing off cleavage.
M
@ M - I meant Orange County. I think she used to work for QuickSilver or Roxy.
I find the front of the wild tanks to be so boxy and unflattering on every person I see them on. The back is amazing, though! If they improved the tailoring, I'd buy every color.
