More photos are appearing of the Alberta Lake Roll Down Wunder Under Pants. They look nicely opaque (bended knee area) in these photos. I have not tried these on yet. Shown with the Breezy Tank and Free to Be Wild Bra.

White Studio Racerback Tank with a Free to Be Wild Bra underneath. I like the back configuration of the new Studio Racerback - I like that it left my center upper back more open than a CRB - but I'm not sure which bras look best underneath it.

Finally, some clear photos of the black Runaway jacket. Shown with Textured Stripe High Times Pant, a Run With Me Toque. I bought this toque and really like it, it doesn't squeeze my head like my other lululemon run hat.

lululemon inkwell-stash-it-crop
Showing the Inkwell Stash It Crop with the Pebble Print Runway Jacket. Pebble Print has Inkwell in it so this probably looks even sharper together in person.

If lulu wants to know why their brand is tanking, they ought to look first at the customer’s in-store experience. IT SUCKS!!! I really can’t stand the employees in the fitting rooms that have to call out your name (or the fake name I give them) really loudly and ask how I'm doing. Today I just pretended like I didn’t hear her because I just want to try on the clothes and not be bothered. They should realize that if i’ve got a problem, I will let them know about it without them asking me. Also, I tried on the Motivate Tank (really liked it, but the seam down the middle is definitely an odd trend…). Anyway, another employee came over to me and decided that she needed to tell me all about the Motivate Tank and how their tank wall is set up. I was wearing a LS Swiftly so maybe she should’ve been able to get a clue that I might already know a little bit about their tanks. Wouldn’t it have been more appropriate to just tell me that she’s available if I need help? I’m convinced that they only hire people who LOVE to hear themselves talk. I told her that I had just tried on the Motivate Tank and that I liked it. She said “oh are you going to wear it for hot yoga?” I responded that I don’t do yoga. She said “so you’re going to wear it just to wear it?” Ummm, that is extremely rude. Did it ever occur to her that not everyone who goes in there to buy a tank does yoga? Actually, lady, I’ll wear it to BodyPump, thanks! Oh yeah, I also tried on the Studio Racerback. Meh, not impressed. The back looks awful if you just want to wear a regular racerback sports bra, which is what I wear 90% of the time and fit perfectly under CRBs. For sizing, i would say the Studio Racerback is TTS, rather than a size down item like CRBs are for me.

@11:09 am, I get a bit annoyed as well when they ask me how I'm doing every 2 minutes, but having worked in retail and having hated every second of it, I must say they probably hate asking us if we need anything just as much as we hate hearing it. I still cringe when I think of my days working in the coats section of a department store. It was August and it was 97 degrees and my manager told me that I had to sell at least 5 coats that day. Imagine how annoyed those people were who had to swat me away every time I tried to get them to try on a coat. Basically, it's not their fault, they are just following instructions. But yes, it is annoying when some girl who was probably 12 when I first started buying Lulu tries to educate me about swiftlies. I just take a deep breath and remember how I felt back when I was in a similar position.

I just got my Alberta Lake roll downs and they aren't as thick and opaque as I had hoped. They are made in Bangladesh if that means anything to anyone, and while they aren't as sheer as the Bumbleberry WUCs from September, they are not as opaque as my plain black pair of roll downs from last winter. They are basically mediocre. But I'm thinking of keeping them because the color is gorgeous and I'm just planning to wear them as casual wear so not too worried about any downward dog flash sessions. Sigh

My expirence mostly when Im not familiar with the employees.. I'm head to toe n the brand and most times I know more about the product than they do. Oh and the last time I was in an "educator" kept telling me I was wrong that online orders don't come with shopping bags. lol ok

I do Bodypump as well and I also noticed that when I come to lulu store they usually would ask me if I run or do yoga. Like there's nothing else

I agree that some of the less experienced Lulu "educators" can be annoying, especially since they have no way to recognize the regular customers. Hard for them to know the best way to help customers, but i've had to tell them that i understand how the pants and tanks are set up. I don't want to talk about what workouts I do and which tops will be best. The people that know me there, show me the newest stuff because they know that's what i want. What amazes me is that during the holidays, the regular LULU educators aren't there and the store if full of newbies that don't know their customers or how to operate the registers. I think its all part of the holiday rush and I should embrace it, so I will. Until February first LOL!!!!

Sent u an email with a color comparison. The new Alberta stuff is much more blue toned than the old :(

I agree that was an inappropriate comment to you from the employee :(( They should know better... but I am not surprised...there is rude everywhere unfortunately. I agree with you in just wanting to do your own thing and if you need some assistance, you know where to find them. I find my store much better lately in that the employees are not in your face as much yacking about the products and giving the impression that you must not know anything.I was pleasantly surprised the last couple of times.

I normally wouldn’t comment to this, but please get some perspective. You sound obnoxious, entitled, and uncomfortable visiting the store. This also sounds like it's about much more than LLL, but I digress.

Don’t ask you how it’s going with the try on or if you need another size (basic, good customer service), but supposed to consider you informed on all LLL apparel because you are wearing a Swiftly/LLL item? They don’t know if you’re an “expert” or not.

When they ask you how it’s going, is it going to kill you to simply be polite and say “good/ok/great”? They usually then leave you alone if you don’t want to be “bothered.” For any store, it’s actually bad customer service to not check in with the customer – it’s the opportunity to ask for another size, another color version, and possibly another item altogether.

The employees are also just doing their job and are following the sales pitch/”script” and approach they have been given. Yes, even if you’re in head to toe LLL, they might not realize they don’t have to oversell you on anything, but again, I don’t expect them to be so focused on me me me. Although usually they do notice if I’m wearing LLL and I’m in one store enough that they know me (at least by face) and a few even remember my (gasp, real first) name. I’m not saying I have not been sales pitched when I did not “need” to be, but there are gracious ways to respond even after you have heard them out.

Asking you clothing specific questions, again, part of the script especially if something is designed for yoga or running (newsflash, these are the core activities the brand was built on and they are still near and dear to the brand's heart). Maybe some don’t know how to deviate or ask, “what activities do you do?” (which is a very common question in the stores I visit in Canada), but again, that comes with experience. As for being enthusiastic and super informative with customers on an item, this does work. I have observed them engaging a number of customers who are not yet really into the brand and want to hear more about the clothes, features, technology etc. Those customers are not annoyed at all.

Instead of getting defensive about the yoga specific question, how hard is it to offer up “I’m not into yoga but I’m planning to wear it to Body Pump.” They are just trying to connect with you. The employee may also be out of the comfort zone in trying to sell, so good for them for trying.

I find it interesting when people act entitled and rude themselves but demand to be treated with dignity and respect. How about “do unto others as you would have done to you”? I'm not saying LLL has never been truly rude to customers (they surely have), but you are overreacting.

Please don’t bother ranting back in reply to this, because I won’t be checking for your response. Your type of toxic attitude is not something I’m interested in to begin with, or reading any more of.

Namaste.

The runaway jacket is an easy pass. I do not like those flaps at the back and it has bonded seams.

I do not like the studio racerback at all. It will never win me over, over the CRB.

@Drychic- thanks! I will check my email. I was thinking the same thing earlier when I saw the Alberta Skinny Grooves.

Nearly every time I go into a lulu store I'm wearing head to toe lulu and yet someone explains to me the setup of the tanks and bras and pants. I will be looking at WUs and every time someone will say oh those pants are great because xyz and I'm like hello, open your eyes, I am wearing WUs in a print you just had out so obviously I know what they are like.

And then I always get the how to do laundry talk. Yup yup got it got it.

Exactly, I was wearing a LLL jacket, the last time I went in & the educator asked if I'd ever worn LLL. Too funny. Please don't be afraid to divert from that "script". Your customers are more savvy than you think.

Wow ladies. they are employees doing their job as 7:10 stated above. Take a breath. Yes every time I am at the sales rack at least 2 or 3 sales people will mention that it's all final sale. I just say thank you.

That is their job. I also don't think they are looking you up and down to see if you are wearing lulu or if you are an expert.
