Just what I wanted - a pair of red flowery pants that give the illusion that I skipped my bikini wax this month.
Yay for the Alberta Lake WUPs! They look thick and opaque in that photo!
I'm loving the look of the wild tank, Do you have any fit reviews for this LLA? I know you said you didn't like it, I'm wondering why? I mostly run so I'm thinking this wouldn't be a good tank for that, the ftbw bra fits me great but there's no way I could run in one. Thanks!
that tank is pure fug!!!!!! Lulu makes crap tanks.... actually there isn't any company out there that makes cute interesting beautiful tanks like lulu used to make pre ms day........ wonder why?????? i miss the old lululemon its so sad its gone isn't it????
Could you do a fuel green/alberta lake comparison? They seem really similar... or is it just me?
Those atomic flower high times pants are hideous. Way too thin, they need to be recalled. I like the print but on pants they are a flop. I wouldn't be caught dead in them. On a more positive note I picked up a yogi crew sweater yesterday on sale at my local store. Wore it today, I'm really liking it.
@ anon 1:21 pm - I liked the wild tank - the bra was super nice. It has the straps of the energy bra but it looks like the free to be wild in back. I thought it was pretty supportive for my 36DD chest. I'd love it if they came out with just the bra part alone. My problem with the tank was that the back dipped too low so showed off things I'd rather keep hidden. I know in some photos it doesn't dip that low but I must have a narrow back or short back or something and those style tanks hang down to my waist. It was too revealing for me to feel comfortable in. You should definitely try it out.
Poor choice for anything high impact unless you are completely flat chested. If the FTBW is great for you you'll love the tank, the bra is super comfortable and supportive.
my 2 cents on the wild tank: i tried it on in store yesterday, in the alberta lake color, and thought it looked awful! i can't wear free to be bras but i somehow love free to be wild, and thought this would be a great built-in tank. i did like the bra and it felt more supportive than FTBW, but a) like LLA, didn't like the back - too hangy and not in a nice way and b) the front just looked weird - like a muscle tank or something - not drapey in a flattering way. i tried on 6 and 8, and while the 6 was a little better it still just wasn't shaped right for me.
OT - I tried the Let's Get Visible pullover in Alberta Lake just to see how it fit, and it was AWESOME. I'm not really running at night so really can't justify, but if it goes on MD I might get it for walking at night. I tried my TTS/size up size 8 and it was great - not too tight but very flattering, length was good (not too short), and the fleece was really cozy, and the reflective part was not stiff. pockets were great. i wouldn't mind a cord thingy but that was small detail. I didn't expect to like it in Alberta Lake as much as I did - I like the color but sometimes in jackets it seems a little dorky or something. (no offense!)
also tried on the movement hoodie and loved that too - kind of like the remix light but with a little extra something. nice length, not too thick, etc.
also caved and got the resolution hobo in the flower pattern.
regarding fuel green and alberta lake - i'd say alberta has more blue than fuel. fuel leans more toward forest while alberta leans more toward teal.
@ anon 1:21 pm - I actually love everything about the wild tank. I'm a size 6, 32DD chest. For my body, it fits perfectly. The drape is beautiful and I think it's flattering. I like my back, so I don't feel awkward about skin showing, and the way it hangs in the back is pretty, I think, not awkward at all. I also like the coverage in the front. I wear it for yoga and weights - like others said, not for high impact stuff, but I personally wouldn't wear any built in bra style tanks for high impact stuff. I have two :)
i am anonymous @7:21 PM, above, and i forgot to mention that i saw a FTBW bra in menthol with dark blue straps in store - not sure that one has shown up on line or anywhere on here yet. it was pretty but not the right color for me.
also, tried the stash it crops - they fit well but the part around the knee/calf was a little constricting on me. i'm pretty slim/fit but not skinny, my calves are definitely not small, i wear size 6 or 8 in most things, and i'm 5'7". i tried the 8.
LLA, can you help me differentiate between regular luon vs the denim luon fabric such as that of the new black camo high times pant? Is it more opaque? Thicker or thinner? The black camo is my favorite of the camos, but I'm unsure of the qualities of denim luon fabric. Love your blog. Thank you!
@ anon 12:36 pm - I just put up some photos of the fabric content today. The previous version of the denim luon seemed a bit thicker and definitely warmer than regular luon. I just got my High Times today and it seems this new denim luon is a bit softer and maybe a touch thinner than the previous version. It looked opaque in my home mirror but I didn't have great light to check myself out in, since it was already evening.
did the wild tank come out online in this red color? I think i missed it but i absolutely love the wild tanks!
I love love love the Wild Tank!!!! For reference I am a 34 A or 32 B 5'4 120 lbs. i have worn it for kickboxing, weight class and a run on the treadmill for an hour each. It was perfect for all of theses activities. I can usually just wear a bra on the treadmill bc I get too hot but this tank worked very well. I own at least 50 CRB's and I am liking this even better altough it is much shorter and does not cover the butt like a CRB so I wear it with high times shorts not tights as I get self conscious when my booty not covered in any tight. I own 5 Wild Tanks so far!!
What size is your wild tank if I may ask? I'm 36dd and looking to order
