Hi LLA, I was in a store today and saw Skinny Wills in Nightfall Space Dye Jacquard (I'm not sure if I have the name right).

totally OT fit report and shopping dilemma: i got my diamond jacquard roll down WUP and diamond jacquard skinny grooves in the mail. both in size 8 (my size-up size) thanks to reviews here and on LLL website. the skinny grooves seem to be a bit big in the 8, just like all skinny grooves, but i would hesitate to size down. nice thick soft material, seems like it will be sturdy but not super stretchy.

the WUP seem about perfect in the 8, and i love the material. the contrasty seams are not THAT contrasty, but the front (crotch) seam seems crooked and it's very noticeable (but that may actually be because i am asymmetric). i love both but would need to try another pair of the WUP to see if they line up better. my First World Problem question for y'all: which one should i keep??? i love skinny grooves for how they fit and feel, but they are really impractical (too warm) for any kind of exercise other than pilates (i only do hot yoga at this point). WUP at least are a little thinner, less material, easier to deal with for maybe pilates or yoga. i am not one who wears leggings as pants, but would be tempted to do so with the skinny grooves. just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on how they use each of these pants, gut feeling questions, etc. i have one pair of regular luon skinny grooves and i always WANT to wear them (feel good in them) but rarely do because they are a little too big, and too warm. i know none of you have anything better to do than ruminate on my shopping decisions, but TIA!!!

White/Heathered Black Mini Check Pique Base Runner Pants - no way, can't do it. Totally shout long johns, just like those other run tights they put out in the white herringbone that went to wmtm and md in store.

The material/colour works in a shirt, it does not work in a pant.

@anon 12:15. I find myself constantly pulling up my Diamond Jacquard Black WUP. You might want to wear them walking around in the house to see if they give you the same problem. I think one of the ladies also has the same feedback.

@ anon 6:05 pm - mine slip down on me, too.

@ anon 6:05pm - I have the same issue with my diamond jacquard WUP which is very unfortunate as I love the look & thick material but I am constantly pulling up especially around knee area. Luckily still have a tag attached so I'm thinking about exchanging with base runner pants. I would love to hear feedback on base runner pants! (LLL website has some negative review)...

@Tia, I have the Diamond Jacquard WUP and absolutely love them..I bought in my TTS for WUP Size 8..I wear the DSP in size 10..I prefer compression and feel that then I rarely am pulling up the pant. I prefer the fact that WUP can easily go into a boot where as the Skinny groove is more of a fight, I also don't really like the skinny groove with the seaming down the back as I don't feel it flatters my shape but that's just me :)
To me the Jacquard material is amazing and I want to try the skinny wills in them asap
Good luck with your decision! I would definitely try your TTS on before ripping off the tag!

thanks all of you re: diamond jacquard input.

just to clarify, i have the roll down WUP - do you ladies who have the problem with the WUP slipping have roll downs or regular? i wonder if roll downs slip as much?

i can see how that would be the case regardless of the top (regular or roll down).

anybody with skinny grooves find them ok for tucking into boots?
thanks again!

Anon @ 8:43PM - yes, mine is the roll down WUP diamond jacquard. I really love the fit and thickness but they do slip down and pulling up constantly. I got my regular size 6 (pretty tight when you put on first).

Anybody has base runner pants - Is this TTS or do you size down/up? I am between 4 & 6, which one do you recommend? Thank you!

4 if you're not looking for them to be expressly sweatpants looking! My legs are quite long but I sized down to a 2.

yikes, im sorry to hear this about the diamond jacquard roll downs! i bought them and love them but have not worn them yet. i don't really plan to wear them to work out (more for casual use) - do they fall down when working out, jumping around a lot, or just when hanging out in them?

i did notice they are more baggy around the knees than my other roll downs in the same size (which is kinda weird since in all the reviews it sounded like everyone thought they were too tight). i dunno if i should try a size down for the knee bagginess factor - would that make the falling down issue better or worse???

thanks!!!

I wear my skinny grooves with boots all the time. No issues with bunching or anything, and I have muscular calves. I just tend to pull my socks over the bottom hem of the skinny grooves so that they don't slide around. I do it with my jeans too when I tuck them into boots. :)
