Neutral Blue Mantra on left and Silver Mantra Tote on right. |
The new Mantra Tote in Neutral Blush, Silver, and Black. Also shown are Yogi Crew Sweaters.
The City Tank and Define Jacket. I tried on the Bordeaux Define today and thought the thickness of luon was ok. It wasn't the thickest luon I've felt but it definitely wasn't the thinest. Trying on the Define was like saying hello to an old friend.
New Sequin Snakeskin Speed Tights and Black/Coco Pique Base Runner pants. I tried on the new White/Black Mini Check Pique Base Runner pants and found them super soft. They were also very lightweight and clung to every lump and bump. About the only thing I could use them for would be super cozy pajama pants so I'll wait for them to hit markdown.
Photos of the new Pigment Herringbone All Sport bra. For some reason my stores only got this up to a size ten. I wonder whether we'll see Inspires in this color.
Black Herringbone Wunder Under Pants on the left and Giant Herringbone Skinny Will Pants on the right. I bought the Skinny Wills and think I am going to return the Nightfall Diamond Jacquard WUPS I ordered last week. Most of my cool weather tops are geared towards being paired with gray or black pants and I can't wrap my head around purple pants no matter how comfy I find them. I might change my mind but right now I am leaning towards not keeping them.
New felt-backed Run and Reflect headband. This seems to be aimed at runners who like to buy similar Sweaty and Bic Bands that you find at race expos. Unlike those brands, this is machine washable. I like having a portable piece of reflectivity.

Tried on define jackets today and did not like them as much as my formes. Formes look more polished IMO. I will be interested in getting a define if it comes in a unique pattern. Same applies to forme.
Thanks for the try on comments for the newest Swiftlys LuluAddict. Now I know that I'd have to size up for the rugby stripe ls swiftlys if I decide to order one, but think I might go for the Space Dye Pigment Blue instead. The Space Dye Swiftlys seem to be nice and soft and stretchy and just thick enough which I like. I normally buy a size 4 in Swiftlys which is figure hugging on me and have never had to size up, so it's strange that the new Rugby Stripe Swfitlys are different.
Giant herringbone would be awesome in a soft shell on the go anorak.
Tote is too Victoria's Secret free gift with $100 purchase.
I hit my local Lulu tonight to exchange/return a couple of pants and got to try on the snake skin sequin speeds as well as the arsenal ambient speeds..I took the snake skin sequin ones home..I love them and they seem more of a silver grey that would go with more..the arsenal were ok but in the end I felt the sequin print was more unusual but you could still pair many things with it due to the neutral palate. What did you think LLA?
I also got to try on the Yogi Crew Hearts Sweater as well as 2 of the other colors..the hearts (pink) one has the zippers..it seemed much thicker than the others maybe that's why it has the zippers because it seemed more insulated so you'd need to unzip to get relief , LOL..I didn't care for the style on me , a bit too boxy and shorter which is not a good combo IMO.
Totally OT!
Does anyone know if the Geo Soul Trackers were ever uploaded to the Canadian website?
I really, really, really would love a pair but feel silly stalking them if they have already been uploaded & sold out!
Any input is appreciated :)
@ lulu - I didn't see the Sequin Snakeskin Speed Tights today, only the Arsenal Ambient Gray ones but the snake look nice from the longer distance photos.
Lol 7:09 pm , it totally is.
@7:09 oh so true..sometimes I have the Lulu blinders on and you gave me a reality check..I wanted to like it just because it's Lulu, LOL
OT: Warning - I wore the bottom of my new herringbone WUPs over my heels in a 60 minute barre class. The fabric frizzed out like crazy and made the pattern look like it bled together where my heel was. A rookie mistake, I suppose. Be gentle to your herringbone pants!
@7:09 i agree on the one hand, but there is still something appealing about the shiny blush bag, and i am not a shiny person usually. i like the long straps and simplicity of the bag, and compared do the bags i have been considering (e.g., MZ wallace metro tote) to replace the reusable shopping bags i usually end up grabbing to throw my gym stuff in, i kind of like the price point.
it may be good in person! or it might in fact look like a VS gift with purchase. if the logo is only on one side, i might consider it.
Sad to hear you didn't like the menthol swiftly, I LOVE it in all the photos I've seen.
The Going Grape space die is awesome though, good pick!
@ 7:09, comment is right on point. I do like the black version and the simplicity of, I could get a lot of use out of this bag. Price is better in that it's not as exorbitant, but not so sure it's worth $78.
Are these speed tights warm? I'm looking for tights to wear running or to boot camp in 30-40 degree weather. any suggestions? TIA
the speed tights are good until the temps drop to about 28F. I sweat and get warm pretty easily, last winter I ran in pretty much all the speed tights, the brushed ones are super warm.
M
@Patty - I think you might want to look at the brushed luxtreme Speed Tights. I think you'll find them a little warmer. Though, I think the regular fullux will cut the wind nicely. However, I've only ever run in those conditions once and wore regular luon pants.
Thanks for the help re: tights! I'm going to try the brushed Speeds, and maybe the new ones coming next week, and compare them.
