Britt's Picks

Seems like quite a few goodies today. I really love that Bordeaux Stride. The blue Stride looks like denim Inkwell.  The Brisky Biker jacket is cute, too.

That Bumble Berry DSJ is very tempting. C'mon, let's see a Forme in Bumble Berry! Yay that the new striped CRB is coming.

I assume to Race Your Pace Half Zip is also rulu. I like the clean lines. Can't wait to see what other colors it's coming in. I wish the long sleeve didn't have the horizontal band at the bottom. I am not a big fan of that for me.

Do you know why some do the stride jackets have drawstrings and others don't?

Does anyone who own the Stride jacket II comment on the fit and fabric? I read reviews how thin the fabric is and having zipper issue.
I own two Asana jackets, but wonder if it's just the same jacket with hoodie attached.

I also don't like the multiple stripes in different directions on the race your pace LS. Too busy for my liking.

Is it wrong that I want the CRB and the LS in that same striped pattern???

The stripe CRB is tricky… the color placement could be insanely flattering or not.

What are the differences between the Stride and Stride II jackets?

The Brisky Biker jacket isn't showing on the Britt's Picks on the website anymore!

Just received the mauvelous striped CRB from my Monday order, I am in love. Strange that a racerback tank can do that for me, but it does :)

I agree -- I would would be so happy with a Bumble Berry Forme. I really like Dance Studio Jackets, and I have quite a few. However, I love Defines and Formes and almost always reach for those over my DSJs. Do you think there's any hope for a Bumble Berry Forme, LLA?

Thanks again for your amazing blog. I adore it and appreciate your hard work and insightful comments!

I got the new striped crb today. If you can pick your stripe placement, I recommend it. The material is thick and soft. I love it and can't wait to wear it tomorrow.

Has the Race for Pace top ever been released in previous years? God I wish for the Full Tilt to make a comeback.

I have two of the stride 2 jackets- one is the mojave tan color the other is the light gray/blue color. Both have drawstrings in the hoods. It says on one of the tags that it is made of cottony- soft luon fabric. 42% polyester, 41%nylon and 17%lycra spandex. Both of these jackets are lighter weight than the asana jackets. The stride jackets are lighter weight and perfect for going to and from the gym. I have found them perfect for cooler evenings where I live. The asana jackets are heavier and the fabric is more dense and more sticky feeling. I do have to say too though that both zippers on both of my jackets are tricky. You have to have them just right in order for them to zip up. Overall, I like them better than my asana jackets. I wonder how the new colors for this coming upload will look like.

Junie - I was thinking the same thing, I want both the CRB and the LS in the striped pattern! Maybe the LS will come in other great colors, I don't think I can rationalize both in the stripes (so excited for the return of Rulu!!)

In the Race Your Pace LS is that a new purple color? I hope we see more of that! Looks pretty!

Those stripes would make killah pants!!! Here's hoping!

@junie b @9:20 am:
is it wrong that i want both the CRB and the LS in that stripe pattern, AND the similarly-striped refresh racer tank that i already ordered?
think of the first two as a twin set! ;-)
girl can't have too many colorful multi stripes...

I like the stride jackets better too. I think they are more flattering, and the fabric is softer and hangs better. I like my asanas, but I feel like I'm pulling at them one way or another when I'm wearing them. The strides are more comfortable and effortless. And I think the stride update is a little less boxy and the fit is more feminine and flattering.

I ordered and received the new refresher tank in the new striped pattern with bumble berry/toothpaste/tomato. I will def be ordering the crb too. Totally different colors! :)
As a side note, I loved the fit of the new refresher tank. In particular I liked that it was a little shorter and more fitted through the waist than the crb.

Someone asked about Kit and Ace a few days ago. I have two SS and two LS, all in grey. They are buttery soft, opaque, comfortable and flattering. LOVE them! I wear size 4 in Lulu (32C) and also take size 4 in Kit and Ace. The white colored fabric is somewhat see through though. A note of caution. The shirts appeared twisted after coming out of washer but straightened themselves out after drying (15 min in drier and then line dry). Hope this helps.

I love the race for pace LS and half zip. I just got the Run for Gold LS.

I, too, want to see a BB Forme! The last color released in the Forme jacket was the mohave tan and black stripe. Even better would be a BB Bhakti jacket.

I know I seem to be totally in the minority but I'm not a huge fan of the bumble berry...maybe it just doesn't work for my completion ..I do like it on others but the striped pattern on the race your pace LS doesn't appear to use bumble berry..It looks like a different purple..That I want especially since it's Rulu which I could live in this time of year in the midwest :)

Jiji,

I ordered all 3 stride jacket IIs that came out recently. Although they fit similarly, the light grey and mojave tan versions were more lightweight/softer luon (I loved that and kept both). The black was much thicker, more what you would expect as a typical luon jacket (and in my opinion similar to the asana's). I ended up returning it (and buying it again and returning it again I am embarrassed to admit :) because of the thickness.

Does anybody know if we will get the bumble berry NLT that was release in Asia? I need it :(.
Got my herringbone WUP today and wow! Super soft and thick. But possibly too warm to work out in.

Got my fluffy jacket, vest, and green new luon pants- all of it didn't meet my expectations and will go back. Zippers are fine, sizes are to size one up for all of the above, fabrics are fantastic, just not slimming and not fluffy enough for my taste and the cost of it.

Thank you all for the feedback. I'd like to try the Stride II jacket soon!

Am completely loving these versions of stripes/colour combinations, and especially the purple/yellow/grey. I so hope the half zip comes in a similar version. LOVE rulu. I don't mind at all the change in direction of the stripes at the bottom. I also want the same stripes/verision in more than one format, CRB and Half Zip at least, haha. Not like I'd wear them at the same time.

I'm glad to see these upcoming items as it puts in perspective what I want to wait for, e.g. can pass on awesome henley and maybe it'll go to wmtm, and if not, still don't really care.

Kudos LLL, finally something more creative (esp. when it comes to stripes), classic and tasteful.

I got my WUP herringbone today too! They are very flattering!! I returned my ones from last release. But I really like these. They show no flaws and my bottom look really good! Winner winner!

I tried on the herringbone wup today and they are thick and opaque, but no compression and doesn't hold you in. Was not flattering but my store has plenty of sizes if any of u are looking

Sounds like I am in the minority here, but I'm not grooving on that striped CRB at all. I like the color combination, very multi chromatic, but there is something about the width of the stripes and how they are all that same awkward (to me) width. It doesn't seem to flatter anyone's figure, at least not in the photos I've seen so far.

OT, but I received my bumble berry CRB today as well as the herringbone WUPs and I am loving both. The CRB is silky soft 92% nylon and the perfect berry red. The herringbones are A.MAZING. I swore to only get roll downs from now on, but the rise ended up being perfect on these. They hit right at my belly button (I'm 5'2") above the zone where muffin top is usually a concern. Others have already said this, but they are thick, soft, opaque. Just awesome. Except they are not workout pants, at least not for SoCal. They are wear with boots leggings for me.

I'm loving the herringbone WUP too! Super soft and flattering. I got the bumble berry CRB and this color seems to run big compared to other recent colors/designs. I used to only order sz 4 in them and then the recent striped ones seemed to be a bit tight so I started getting 6's. I ordered a 6 in bumble and it was huge. I wish LLL sizing was more consistent.

I' not loving the striped CRB. They don't seem very flattering so far, all the girls look a bit "boxy" in them. The colors are awkward together, and also not sure if they'll go with a lot of my other clothes.
