I don't think Canada got here to there dress

Right - Canada gets it in September.

FINALLY! The Bumble berry Tracker II's!!!!! Definitely got those after waiting weeks for them and got a Rugged Blue Swiftly ls.

I ordered the Bordeaux Here to There dress. Honestly I'm on the fence about it, bc of the ridiculous price hike. I tried it on back in April and while I liked it, the store I was in only had black and I have enough black dresses.

So when I heard it was coming back, and in a pretty color like BD, I was excited to get it. At $168, though, I feel a little like an idiot. If I'm not blown away when I try it on, it's going back to my local store. At $182 with tax, I can get other, nicer dresses. Maybe this is a mistake and they'll return the price to $128...at that price I wouldn't feel so guilty.

I just got the inkwell henley. I feel like my Lulu addiction may be fading. I was completely crazy addicted for 2 1/2 years buying anywhere between $600-$800/month sometimes much more. In the last few months I'm just starting to feel bored and tired with poor quality and crappy customer service (most of the time).

I gave in to Here to There Dress in Bordeaux. dunno if it's worth $168 but wanted to try since I missed one last time. I don't want to regret after it's sold out. plum and bordeaux is my favorite color anyway.

I'm debating between Rugged Blue Swiftly or Inkwell 105f. 105fs are my favorite right now.

I would have purchased the Bordeaux Here to There if the price had stayed the same as the last time. I didn't get anything online but I bought a Bordeaux Vinyasa scarf at a local Lulu store today. Pretty! I don't see it on the website so I guess they are not offering vinyasas in bordeaux this time? By the way, I missed you so much, LuluAddict!

I got &go dress to try. I don't think the swim fabric is that appealing and would really like ANY color other than lulu's sickening monochromatic choice, but there was absolutely nothing to try on at Canadian upload. So, will be another catch and release yet. No black herringbone scarf for Canada, no pleated running skirts in 3 more colors either....((

Ditto @ anon 4:52

Nothing... I thought the Bordeaux Here to There dress was pretty, but not $168 pretty. That's absurd!! Even if it sells out, I won't be heartbroken.

Anonymous said...

Anon @ 4:52PM

I almost felt the same, how amazing is that! Not so much of the customer service issue on my side, but def. the decline of their quality, size inconsistancy and guess what is the most #1 reason made just want to give up at anytime? ALWAYS not enough sizes, colors and quatities!!!

These prices are getting ridiculous!

LLA, did you post your haul from Seawheeze? I would love to see!

I just ordered the Chill Puffy Vest in both the Bordeaux and the inkwell because I couldn't decide which color I liked best. Anyone seen these jackets in person and have an opinion? And does it run tts?

Anonymous said...

No needs but a few wants. The vest looks nice in black and I like the inkwell singlet. Just ordered the Right as Rain jacket though so I might not get anything. I'm hoping the herringbone scarves hit store soon?

i really want the tank part of the flip your dog onesie.. really don't get why its attached! but the open back and hooks to attach your bra are pretty cool!

and i agree, the here to there dress is cute but i really think it's overpriced :/

Blah, I think I'm over LLL.

For anyone thinking that the gray vinyasa in tonight's upload will be a nice substitute for the gray herringbone, do not be fooled. It (oddly) isn't as wide as the other vinyasas, and I know it's French terry, but it definitely is thick and towel-like, which is not how I like my scarves. Oh, and it's $10 more. I find it weird. Going back, which is saying a lot because I looove my vinyasas!
And I was a little disappointed in the black herringbone scarf. It's rather thin; I was expecting it to be more like the pique from a couple years back. I still want the gray one, but I'm not as hot for it after seeing the black.
If you're thinking if vinyasa-ing, get the Bordeaux. It's thick and cozy and really pretty. I tend to use them more as a shawl around the house, so maybe that's why I like the thicker one, but it seems to have more bang for the buck.

I got the Biggy Dot HTT Dress. Was considering Bordeaux as the color is gorg, but I can wear black and white year round. I wouldn't wear burgundy in spring or summer. Hope I made the right decision!

Anonymous said...

I really want that purple fog 105. I hope we get it next week...along with the purple fog dance studio jacket. I wanted to buy it when I saw it at Robson but was already hurting from the SW store that morning.

Anonymous said...

So disappointed with everything lately. The dresses are terrible. Should just send them straight to WMTM.
This price hike is completely unjustified. I may be over lulu for a while. Athleta has amazing gear and a way better return policy.

I bought the HtT dress in black when it first came out. Loved the little dress at $128 plus tax. I was tempted to get another one in the beautiful BD color when I first saw it online but not at the new price. By the way, I (32C) had to size up from 4 to 6. It also looks a bit short on tall ladies.

Like the chilly chill puffy vest but I am holding out for a jacket. Does Lulu typically offer jackets in similar styles and patterns later in the season?

LLA, it is great to have you back. Thank you for all your hard work!

Was I hallucinating or was there a sneak peak of a black Chilly Chill vest with gingham/plaid lining? I was waiting for that one! Tho $168 did seem steeper to me than vests of years past??? Maybe I'm just still reeling from SeaWheeze so everything seems expensive. Really wanted those BD cotton rolldown WUCs, but...think I may have to exercise some self-control just to be sure I still can! :)
Excited to read your SeaWheeze recap, LLA -- I want the inside scoop on the SE Festival hoodies -- so bummed I missed out!

Nothing for me in a long time now.

Anonymous said...

where are those pretty bordeaux and/or bumble berry vinyasas? i haven't been able to make it to a store... are they going to be uploaded or did i miss them? (US side)

Anonymous said...

USD168.00 for that dress???? WTH!!! I don't think so. This is absolutely ridiculous. I am sorry but they just crossed the line here.

Does anyone know if the find your centre wrap is actually going to come out in the heathered black and marled white like it was featured on the website last week. I was shocked like everyone else when I got my wrap and it was heathered gray with black and white speckles. I don't know whether to return it and wait for the heathered black or to keep the one I have because I lucked out getting it! My lulu headache. Happens often! I figure if the heathered black wrap was in photos it must exist! Anyone know ?

Anonymous said...

no Seawheeze race recap, LLA?

Anonymous said...

I kind of like the wide wonder pants. Need to try them on and probably wait for WMTM.

Anonymous said...

I got the inkwell singlet and the bordeaux HTT dress. I bought it in black from the store and really liked it, it is overpriced but is well made and flattering. Will decide which one to keep- the dot was cute but too juvenile for me. Also got the inkwell/black skinny wills-saw them in the store and they are awesome, regretted leaving them- and the cotton heathered bordeaux roll down wuc IIs. I don't know if the pants/crops were new to this upload though.

Anonymous said...

I ordered the heathered deep coal inspires. I am obsessed with those crops, and I can't turn down a neutral color like this.

@ anon 6:32 pm - I was going to do it earlier today but my husband stole my laptop with all my photos and notes for a business trip today. I'm hoping to put it all up tomorrow.

@ 4:56 PM, bordeaux drama heathered vinyasa with bumbleberry stripe uploaded last week. I bought it from the Canadian site and it arrived today. It's lovely, agreed 6:07. I also saw/felt it in store while mine was en route and was pleased I had ordered it. I'm disappointed I haven't found a ghost herringbone vinyasa in stores yet, and I doubt that I will. It's OK though as the heathered bordeaux one is so pretty, thick and lovely rulu!

As for everything else - meh. The henley looks nice but I won't go out of my way to get it from a store and didn't order it on line. I'm hoping on a nice rule half zip like the base runner from last year.

LLA, saw some of your pics on Twitter but looking forward to your report/recap.

Canada got the black/gingham vest, it's my fav colour

Anonymous said...

Nothing interested me tonight. Maybe the awesoma henley but not at that price tag. Was hoping Canada would get the other colours of the pleat to street skirt, but no luck. I don't see the appeal of the here to there dress... the skater style dress is everywhere right now and lulu's version is nothing special. I have an identical dress from h&m that I paid about $10 for on sale...

Nothing for me! Everything is unflattering!

I was able to stop in my local Lulu to try the HTT Dress which I missed out on the last time..I thought it was cute and fit ok in my tts 10 however on my shape it was too short in the waist and much too short for me..I'm 5'8" and curvy so the skater style on me is not the most attractive..Then there was the price which I thought was absurd considering it was $128 the last go around. I did purchase the swiftly LS in the tonka stripe heathered blue rugged blue..It's even more beautiful in person. I also saw the gray vinyasa and the Bumble berry vinyasa After trying on both and seeing the $10 price difference I asked an educator who pointed out the gray one is french terry and the bumble berry is rulu...I went with the rulu bumble berry one at $48 vs. the french terry gray at $58...the Rulu is much softer and more comfortable.

Anonymous said...

I was going to buy the dress, I think its cute......until I saw the price! It can stay there.

Anonymous said...

I love that Here to There Dress, but for $168 dollars Lulu can keep it. The Henley is just okay, but for the price I can find much nicer ones from Free People. I almost bought the Rugged Blue Swiftly but after laundering the ones I own this evening I was reminded that they snag and run like cheap panty hose, saved my self the $$ and the frustration. I do really like the Calm Blue 105f Singlet, so I may think about it for a few days but if it sells out before I have a chance to buy it I won't be hart broken. I am getting tired of Lululemon, there price increases and scarcity model are beginning to leave a bad taste in my mouth.

Anonymous said...

The HTT dress is still available in most sizes 5 hours after upload. Hopefully LLL gets the point that increasing the already inflated price by $40 is insane. It's a cute, casual dress, but not $168 cute.

Anonymous said...

Not sure if anyone has said this yet...but the Here to There dress is listed on the Canadian site for $138. Not sure where the miss is there? Honestly, I'm not even sure that it is worth the $138! Tried it on the first time around and didn't get it-found a similar dress in a local boutique for $78! What the heck lulu! I did break down and grab one of the new puffy vests though...couldn't help myself.

Anonymous said...

I have to say I love the HTT Dress, I find it flattering for my build, it hides the flaws around my waist and the stretchy material is comfortable and cool. I bit the $168 bullet and bought the Bordeaux one. Now, LLL, please upload the Bordeaux/Bumble berry Vinyasa to the US side...

Anonymous said...

Nada for me - I didn't particularly like anything in the upload (would have gotten Trackers, but I don't feel like taking a chance on the pokey-waistband issue). LOL about how the HtT dress was going to sell out at once - all sizes in all colors are still sitting there this AM. I'm too tall to pull that dress off anyway, though I do think it's cute (although not $168 cute). On another note, I was thrilled that the Sweater Life I ordered last week doesn't have the tight-arms issue I feared it would, so I'm keeping that, as well as the BD WUP rolldowns. I didn't think I'd like the hints of brown in the BD color (I am NOT a "brown" person), but it somehow adds to the richness of BD without making it look actually brown.

Got the black stripe Vinyasya; still waiting for my black herringbone one and will compare and return one. Decided to pass on the 105 singlet in inkwell but went back for it this morning only to find it sold out in size 2. Why can't they stock more 2s?

Find the HTT dress very juvenile in appearance, but I am in my mid 30s. It prob look cute on someone younger.

Did the US not get the west2east stripe inkwell heathered slate CRB or did the US get them and they sold out?

I'm getting distracted by ivivva's upload. There's a very pretty racerback in Rose Herringbone Heathered Paris Perfection. Could I wear it if I'm a size 6 in LLM CRB? Is the fabric stretchy? TIA.

Nothing for me tonight, for the first time since January. Says a lot. Patiently awaiting upload of the Free to Be WILD bras they've been teasing.

Re: the Bumble Berry Vinyasa, I saw it on its arrival @ the NO,LA store on Tuesday evening, and they're still available at that store for anyone interested in buying one. It's really soft & thick, but I find its overall color/effect looks very PINK in color around my face, and since I'm not really a pink gal, I passed on it. Now if the overall color/effect looked more of a darker bumble berry/bordeaux, I'd have purchased it in an instant.

Isn't it funny that LLL is bombarding customers with so many styles (way too many, in my opinion) in hopes of appealing to their wide customer base's desires (both technical and street wear), but across the board EVERYTHING is falling flat? They are really spreading themselves too thin and are making tons of product that appeals to almost no one. While hiking up prices, which were mostly absurd to begin with. I'm not even going to go into quality, because that's another story. Their misses are so obvious, even if they aren't reading their customers' comments and requests. So many people that work for the company are have to be on board with this aesthetic to get it produced (because it's really dictating the direction of the company), I would love to hear what they're really thinking (not the educator lululemonspeak nonsense). I guess there's a whole army of Lululemon employees in Vancouver wearing potato sack dresses.

This might be a shot in the dark...but does anyone happen to recognize the grey long sleeve the model is wearing underneath the Chilly Chill Vest in the inkwell colour? It looks super cozy! I don't think it is the Sweater Life as I can't see a slit on the side. Hopefully someone knows what it is!

Anonymous said...

OT, but LLA, did you find the Seawheeze Downtime Jacket ran tts, large, or small? Love your goodies & can't wait to hear all about the trip!

Anonymous said...

The size 14 in ivivva correlates with a size 4 in lululemon. If you wear a 6 CRB, you probably could not wear ivivva

can't believe your husband took your laptop. anxiously waiting for your sea wheeze report.

Did Lulu remove the Here to There Dresses from the US site? They were there in all colors and sizes except for size 2 at lunchtime and now 2 hours later they are all gone?

I tried on a bunch of the fall run gear today and my review is here: http://whitneyrunson.tumblr.com/post/95931277451/get-your-luon

The Ebb to Street tank is a winner!

i wear a size 6 CRB and *sometimes* the size 14 ivivva racerback fits me. like LLL, the fabrics can be different. the limiting factors will be bust size and how tall you are - i have a small chest and a very slim rib cage for my size, but the length is sometimes too short (i'm 5'6"). i say order one! if it doesn't fit, just send it back. :D

Anonymous said...

got my black herringbone vinyasa - omg it's freaking awesome. goes with everything for fall/winter. in love!

Anonymous said...

The dress sells out fast. I think the ebayers got to them. I saw two dresses for sale for $600 for both.

Anonymous said...

Anon 0805- that looks like the grey Sweater Life under the Chilly Vest and I see a slit on each side...

Anonymous said...

Thanks @1:30pm and @10:03am, I'm a size 4 mostly in LLM tops, but wear a 6 in the CRB, I'm going to get the tank to try. :)

Anonymous said...

I'm kicking myself for missing the Swiftly Tie Dye tops! Any chance anyone is looking to sell one or has seen one in stores recently?! I don't care if it is the tank, short sleeve, or long sleeve - size 8!
