Ms.S...if you see this-was your dress your crb size? Size up or size down? Any help would be appreciated. TIA.

I tried this on last night. I"m a 4-6 in lulu but a 6 in CRB. The 6 looked fine but felt tight up in the neckline and the 8 felt a bit looser. Hope this helps!

I tried it on today, very true to CRB size. The 10 fit like a glove on me, I didn't purchase it though, I needed 1-2 more inches in length.

I wear a 2 in crb (my size down)... last round I bought the dress in a 4 but the arm holes are a bit tight so the dreaded arm fat/ skin pushed in the wrong places is a problem. I bought the 6 in the Bordeaux yesterday and it's perfect/ no arm fat... I say size up.

By any chance, has anyone seen the bd here to there dress in NYC?

FYI, the here to there dress was $128 last time it was rolled out, now it's $168!!!!

Which US store has this color? None of the ones I've called in the LA area have Bordeaux! A couple of them have the grey though.... Desperate to get the BD. I have grey and black from the last round and love them. I get so many compliments! And yes, I got them in my CRB size. It's very fitted, but going one size up made it wrinkle across the chest because there was too much material. (I'm a D cup.) it's very stretchy, so I would suggest getting your CRB size.

Am I the only one thinking this dress is the biggest rip off ever? $168 is insane. The educator told me that its very versatile (uh, its black. and basic) and that it really stretches with you and you can do a lot in it. I look forward to walking in my $168 dress to yoga and sweating all over it afterwards.

I was just at South Coast Plaza and they had all three colors in this dress. The dress is very cute and very well made, but for $168?? I don't think so.

I'm a 4 or 6 in CRBs as well, and I usually get a 6 just because I prefer them to be a bit looser. I have the dress from the first run and I took a 6. The 4 fit, but the chest and bodice felt tight (tighter than a 4 CRB feels) and it didn't drape as nicely with the body being so tight. The 6 fits very nicely and is easy to zipper up with no struggle.

What is so amazing about this dress? Don't get me wrong, Ms. S looks great in it but everyone is so ecstatic about it. Is it the material or fit? Do I NEED to get one?

I wear my crb in size 4, but own a size 8 and even 10 dress from the last run. Even though the dress is stretchy, it is nowhere as stretchy as the CRB. Also, if the pleats are over your larger bum, the flare out and it is unflattering. Plus, the smaller size makes the pleats puff out much higher on your body than a size or two larger. Be careful if you have any armpit fat or skin hanging. Several of my slim coworkers couldn't fit into size 6.
As for the dress- it is very very nice. The design is stolen from high end fashion and very trendy. The fabric is technical and no maintenance. The price was decent at $129. The chance if bumping into someone else wearing the same dress was pretty slim until now.

Nah. The stitching quality isn't that great. It doesn't lay smoothly over the chest.

The Portland OR store has bordeaux ... I am livid at the $40 price hike! God help people who are not able to order the dress or live near a store that hires them ... they will definitely be paying out of the nose if they want one on eBay.

For $168, I can buy a few dresses at Nordstrom. Granted they won't be Burberry or DVF, but this is a simple skater dress than can be found on lulus.com or Express! Chip has bumped his head at the finish line of Sea Wheeze if he thinks I would pay that for this dress. I got one yesterday and will be taking it back! I bought the black one in March and it was barely worth $128 .... IT SURE ISN'T WORTH ALMOST $170!

Bellevue, WA had all three colors today but sizes were already picked over.

Just to clarify DeeZee's comment: the three colors South Coast has does not include Bordeaux. They have black, black dot, and grey.

Here's why I felt I NEEDED to get the dress... The fit is very flattering. The simple styling is a great contemporary take on the "little black cocktail dress". I can put on heels and wear this to a dressy event or I can put on my Converse and do more casual things. The tech material is really cool - works well with that styling.

I agree with you! The refresher racer dress was $88 .... still fairly high for what it is, but a bargain compared to this one.

@ 12:15 PM, no you're not the only one that thinks this dress is a gyp, it absolutely is. I agree with someone else's comment as well as to what calibre of dress I can get elsewhere. The dress is cute but not worth what they've priced it at.

Obviously there are people who give into the hype and don't bat an eye. Just like LLL raised the price on some pants/WUs, people find their own ways to justify those hikes as well.

The NYC meatpacking district store has the deep wine/burgandy color in lots of sizes as of yesterday (Saturday). I initially went to the SoHo and Union Square stores looking for it and they did not have it, but did have all the other colors. Curiously, while the meatpacking store did have the wine color, they did not have any others (not even black).

I agree that the price is a bit inflated. Honestly, had I looked closely at the price tag when I'd walked into the store I would have not even tried it on. Unfortunately, I just assumed it was around $100-$130 and did not realized it was $168 till after I'd taken it into the dressing room, tried it on and felt like I had to have it. The fabric does appear to be high quality, but it's definitely still an over-priced splurge at $168.
