Zobha Avery Tank in Phantom Heather |
![]() |
Ruched Capri |
Zobha is one of the few yoga/activewear brands that has their own, distinctive vision. If you look through their website you'll see they offer tasteful, feminine designs that are not lululemon clones. I've really liked their materials, too, from the first time I tried them four years ago. They are the brand that has material that has come closest to (old) luon in weight and feel (especially softness), I've found. The quality is also very nice and my old tanks have not sueded or pilled. The colors are a bit more earthy, less neon, but very richly saturated. Zobha is one of the brands I tell people to look into when they ask for lululemon alternatives.
Zobha sent me a couple of new pieces to review and they are going to give away a $50 e-giftcard to my readers. The winner will be chosen at random from the comments and you can earn an entry by commenting and another by liking their Facebook page and commenting that you did that. You'll have to delurk a little bit and give yourself a name other than just plain 'anonymous' so I can tell people apart. Calling yourself 'Anonymous 1234' would be fine. I'll pick the winner next week on the 11th.
In addition, Zobha is having a 25% off everything sale today.

Compared to a pair of Wunder Under Crops |
The Ruched Capris were also super soft. I found the material a little more lightweight and not as compressive-feeling/stretchier-feeling than luon. They were decently opaque but I tend to have a problem with super soft/super stretchy materials in bottoms because I need the dimple-smoothing properties of a stiffer fabric like luon. As far as coverage (i.e., dimple smoothing) these weren't the best for me. I've bought other Zobha bottoms in the past that have stiffer/thicker fabric but it's hard to tell from the descriptions which bottoms use which fabric. They fit is really nice and the crops are very comfortable. I thought the fit was TTS to their size chart. I think these are nice crops for yoga, the gym, or casual wear but if you need help from your crops with smoothing out cellulite you might want to try bottoms with another fabric.
Don't forget to comment in for a giftcard entry. And don't forget about the big sale today.

Awesome! I've been checking out the website so it would be neat to get to try it out!
I like the cobalt and plum heather colors.
Do you find the waistband is muffin top inducing or is it like the lulu crops?
I haven't heard of this product before. Thanks for the post.
I would love to try out Zobha! I checked out their website and saw lots of cute things!!
I love my zobha crops from a few years ago. No pilling or anything. I'll have to check out this brand again. Thanks for the review. I'm excited about the contest!
I would love to win! The Avery tank is pretty and I need to check out their whisper thin panties!

Love Zobha! What a high-quality brand!
Finally! A competitor for Lulu! Will definitely check out their website.
Also, I like both lulu addict and Zobha on Facebook, under Teresa K Tobat. Thanks! Let me know if I've messed this up in any way.
Informative review, thank you!

I love that tank top! It looks so comfortable! I have 'liked ' their page on FB and posted it to friends!
Thank you for offering this to your readers/participants, LLA! Count me in- Dina1973.
Thanks for the review, LLA! I bought a pair of Zobha crops a little while ago, and I really like them. The only thing I don't like is how shiny the fabric is though; did you notice that with your crops at all?
Also, this post will serve as entry into the contest!! I would LOVE a $50 gift card :) :)
Oh, I forgot to mention in my last post. I liked Zobha's Facebook page!
This is my first comment here ever(though I've been following for a while). Pick me, pick me!
I'd love to try Zobha. I tried other Lulu alternatives in the past. These look visibly soft & I love the ruching!
Ooh their Anya bra looks a lot like the ftbw bra. Might need to get my hands on that. They have really cute wraps and tunics too.
I love the ruching. These are super cute.
Thanks LLA, for the review. I've long heard of Zobha but never tried. The Ruched Capri looks like something that I may be interested in trying for yoga. Hope it comes in other "crazy" colors/patterns as I already have plenty of neutral colors for bottoms. Do you think the fabric is similar to Beyond Yoga's supplex?
Oh, and Facebook page liked!
Sounds great! I love trying new brands. Durensally@gmail.com
Is this just an online store? Or do they have actual stores? Everything looks really nice. The items I want look like they're all sold in small sizes :(
THX for the review, I would love to try their gear!
great giveaway! here is my entry.
I hope I'm commenting in the correct place -- I can't possibly be the first commenter, right? Thank you for your detailed Zobha review, LLA. Thanks, Zobha! -Julie614

Thanks for the review!
@ anon 7:11 am - I believe it's just on-line only.
I have been looking for good underwear to work out in. I usually prefer to go commando rather than wear a thong to work out in which I find can be so uncomfortable. I'm going to see about ordering some. Thanks!
I would love to give zohba a try! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks wouldn't mind another option for underwear :) I have VS no show but I still see pantylines :( - Bon
Great review. I've been looking for alternatives for bottoms - really like the ruched detail.
Thanks for the post. Could be worth trying...I'd start with their undies too.

Oooh lopks promising as a Lulu alternative! Liked their fb page too! Thanks for the new source!
OT:
Did the opal crb come in a size 2? Is it actually possible that the size 2 are sold out????
I miss ONE upload all year (away on vacation) and I miss out on one of the only items that I have been coveting for the last month????
Say it isn't so!
Liked on Facebook! Thanks for everything you do LLA, I really appreciate your blog.

You can never have enough yoga clothes and they seem to make some really cute things!
I like them on FB
I love to work out and running.... this would be perfect for me
I've had a bad shipping experience with Zobha a few months ago to Canada that leaves me REALLY hesitant to buy from them, even though the clothing is nice. My first order was large, almost $300 worth, but sizing was a mystery with the new to me brand. I needed to exchange some items for size and was told that I will have to pay AGAIN for them to ship out my exchanged items. So I pay first time $25 to ship to me, then $25 to ship back my returns, then AGAIN $25 to send out my exchanges!!! Are they kidding me??! I ended up just returning the stuff and not wanting to exchange it. They lost a loyal customer.

Hello LLA,
Thank you for the review. I would love to try their lazer cut boyshort panties. How did you know which size to order ? I'm hesitating between 2 sizes... I love everything with ruching. The tank looks very nice. I would love to win the 50$ gift card as I never win anything when there's a draw (never really lucky). Thanks for considering me ! :)
Love these clothes! Would love to try them
That top is cute on you!! Now, I want one.
Would love to try this brand! Thanks for the review!
Oh and I liked them on Facebook.
Liked on FB! Thanks!!!
I like the looks of that Avery tank a lot; seems like it would hide a lot of the mommy tummy issues. Anyone know how the sizing runs compared to CRB's, power Y's, scoop neck tank, etc?
thanks for the zobha review lla!
The top looks so comfortable. I'd love to try it. Thanks for the opportunity.
De-lurking to enter... Thanks for all of your efforts on this blog!! -Ali
ps! Have liked them on FB too!
I would love to try this line!
Thanks for the review, LLA! The ruched Capri looks adorable!
Great giveaway! I'll definitely give this brand a try! Liked on fb!
I'd love to try their crops. i've been branching out to different companies lately, since Lulu has been putting out uninteresting things, but I haven't tried Zobha yet.
Will give Zobha another look!
Wow, love all the fun colored capris!!!! Thanks for the review!
Super cute stuff! Love the looks of those rushed capris. Liked their Facebook page. Love the colors (I'm not a neon-y gal at all). Great giveaway - thanks!
Dear Mela pm1:14
It's just normal if you live out side of the original country, isn't it?
Same thing happened to me when I want to exchange size with LLL.Basically I have to pay shipping cost for return, and have to "purchase different size of product" online again with full international shipping cost which is $30.
FYI I purchase from USA site, and live in Japan. If I can purchase from Hong Kong site, it would be much cheaper shipping I reckon.
Love thr grey tank, it looks exquisite and well made!
Their clothes look so cute and different

Thanks LLA! I'm a loyal Lulu fan that's become somewhat frustrated and would love to try out some competition!
This is awesome! Thanks!
Would love to try the no show undies. I've tried a few brands of these and they have never worked for me.
Will definitely have to check Zobha out. They were just offered on Zulily last week. Very limited styles were offered though.
Looks like nice stuff
Thanks for the reviews LLA, always helpful.
@ 1:12 PM, It's why I never buy blindly on-line (only did once, with Yoga Smoga) or from a US company when it's like that with the charges. It's why I never shop at Athleta either. Quite a huge Canadian customer base that these companies miss out on.
I would love to check them out!
I would love to win the giftcard
I liked the facebook page too!
I would love to try Zohba for teaching hot yoga!
I love the tank in phantom heather along with the light blue ruched capris. Nice athletic clothing!
I would also love to try them!
Not sure if my comment showed up but I forgot to mention I liked their facebook page. Pick me please!
@1:12 p.m I'm in Canada too and I try to be so careful about buying from companies that ship from the US (I.e. No warehouse in Canada). Typically even if they advertise low shipping rates, you end up paying duty which can sometimes not be refundable if you end up returning stuff and it's usually pricey to return things in general. This is why lulu has us cornered in Canada, it's just too much of a hassle to try some of the other brands.
Have been watching their website for a while. Has anyone tried the cargo capris?
I liked them on FC
I would love to try Zobha. That medium blue is sweet! Plus gotta love those earthy tones.
Thanks for the review! Love to try them out!

Def interested in trying their boyshorts now
Those Zobha unders DO look super comfy! Would love a GC to use towards several things!
Thanks for the great review! !
I really appreciate when you review brands other than lulu; it's nice to know about other options when Lululemon's cut/colors feel a it repeatative :)
I also liked Zobha on Facebook!
Can't wait to check out the Zobha goods!
I can never get enough running clothes. Hope I win!
What a fun giveaway! I really like the capris and the tank looks like it has a great fit and is comfortable. I'm a new mom trying to get my pre-baby body back. New clothes would be fun and motivating. Thanks for the opportunity.

Sometimes you can tell by looking at things just how soft and comfortable they are. These look great. I'm about feel first, then looks. They look great, too!

Thanks for the review! I will definitely be trying the panties, and the rest of their line looks super cute.
