I think I've seen enough great granite to know I do not like it! It doesn't do anything for me personally. Maybe in a head band but that's about it.
I'm torn as to whether to plunk down the $92 for the black camo inspires. They are beautiful but that's a lot for a pair of workout crops even though I know I will wear them to death. I'm kinda surprised they are still available this morning but I think most people are camo'd out by now.
swiftly's are realy the only thing that are doing it for me lately. and thats saying something because theyre a "same old"
whats black and white and bored all over?
I ordered the clear mint inspires last week without reading the reviews. I own several pairs of inspires from 2010 - 2012 & i love them all, even though the 2010 ones are the best quality. But, now I'm kinda sad - the entire first page of reviews on the inspires are all the same ... bad! Talking about how the seams start unraveling after 5 or 10 wears/washes. :(
Also - i bought the fatigue camo inspires & I'm not digging the shiny-ness of them. So weird. I can't decide if I dislike the shine enough to return them or not. But, I can say that the new camo crops (run for fun & inspires) that came out last night look shiny too - so it deterred me from trying them out!
sigh...
It is really hard for me to get into any of LLL recent releases. High temp this week ( and I live in northern climate) is mid-nineties. I am not interested in black long sleeve tops, jackets or crops. This summer has been a complete bust for shorts, tanks with style and fun colors.
I have the weightless crew from the fall/winter and it snagged like crazy after one wear. I have plenty of other running tops in the same lightweight material and none of them snagged.
The white piping on the summer version is not an improvement.
I like sheer luon, or seriously light luon as they call it now, in the 105F tank but find it can be scratchy in the long sleeve versions. I also find the 105F is light and airy but seems to trap heat compared to some of lululemon's other fabrics.
@ anon 8:39 - totally agree. But it's been a bonanza of "edgy" mesh/urban items that have all the sophistication of an 8th grade home ec project (Lab Edge Tee, I am talking about you). On one of my chat boards I saw some of the latest releases derided as "skanky bar wear." Lululemon seems to have lost focus.
clear mint inspires...? did I miss something?
OT--Did the tie dye scoop neck really sell out, or did LLL pull it from the website??? I ordered one and had a feeling it might sell out quickly. Hope it arrives.
I like the looks of the Weightless Crew but will wait to see if it goes on MD.
The tie-dye swiftlies are great, I just saw them today. They are all different too, so you will not have the same pattern as somebody else. Bought the long sleeve version. I collect swiftlies that are not run-of-the-mill, i.e. paisley, lace, etc.
This mesh overload is not the best look, even though I suppose it might help with ventilation. But Lululemon went overboard this time, and calling this cheap design edgy doesn't help. Those tights with the mesh back are horrible, and why does a white bra have black mesh in the back? I don't mind some strategically placed mesh like under the arm, or a bit on the side, etc., but do we have to look like ladies of the night? Sorry for my rant, I'm sure not everybody feels like I do.
@ LLA 11:07 AM re: "skanky bar wear" comment on a chat board, that is pretty much hitting the nail on the head for some of this clothing.
I understand which customers they are trying to attract. I don't agree with messing with the established brand and trying to bring this "edgy" (haha debatable) stuff into the regular LLL stores. If they're so confident it's the way to go, create a whole other brand and open a separate store. Go for it LLL. Let's see how it does.
@ anon 5:46 pm - I was hoping to see the Tie Dye Swiftly in my store today but no luck.
