I was able to see and try on some of the Noir line today. My local store had the jacket, bra, a few pants in only a couple of sizes, and the dress. Though I take a ten in Energy bras, this bra does not have deep enough cups for me (DD) and the straps were super stretchy so it was a no-go. I would say this is probably good up to a C-cup. Fit was TTS.

The Noir Dress was actually not as bad as I thought it would be in term of revealing lumps and bumps. I think it fit TTS.
I wasn't able to try the pants on since they only had a handful of size fours and sixes. The pants are made of Swift. The rest of the line is supposed to arrive Tuesday. I didn't bother with the jacket since it doesn't appeal to me at all.

I was excited to try out the new Criss Cross headband since it reminds me of my older Dance Headbands. I found these to fit snugger than those and the new Charming Braid headband. Since tight headbands break my hair off I left this one at the store but it is very cute.
I tried on the Yogi Cut Off Tank. Ugh, such a masculine tank (and not in a cute boyfriend-way) that does nothing for you. If you want to quell unwanted male attention at the gym then this is probably the tank for you. You can size down in this one.
I also tried on the Om Tank and was meh on it. The straps are a bit long on me. It fit me a bit snug in the chest so I would stay TTS in it to get that over sized look.
I ended up leaving with the Fatigue Camo Energy bra.

These fashion "forward" collections always seem fashion "backward" to me... IMO they're really adding nothing to the brand :( I get that they want to expand and make more moola, but they need to do better than this, and I don't see why they can't. I've never been so hooked on a brand in my whole life!
LLA, may I ask why you didn't get the dress? Was it sheer? Too long? Too tight? Did you find it fit like the refresher dress? If so, I might as well leave it alone because that dress looked horrible on me. It exaggerated how wide my hips are compared to my waist. Looked like I swallowed an anvil.

Did you find the noir dress similar to the recent refresher racer dress? In what are they different to justify the higher price point? :-)
@ anon 6:36 pm - it was too tight. I can fit a 10 CRB on top but need a 12 on the bottom and in a dress like this more like a 14 on the bottom or a really good pair of spanx. I would like this dress more in an A-line fit. This was snug all the way down. Not as tight as the Refresher Racer but still figure hugging.
@ anon 6:47 pm - That is a good point. I didn't even remember the price point of the other dress was $20 less. Other than the ribbed side panels and the logo being black and at the very bottom so very subtle there is not very much to distinguish the Noir dress from the Refresher Racer. If you have one, you do not need the other.
@ sue - I swear the Fatigue Energy fit a bit looser than my previous batch of Energies but I laid it against a Plum Energy when I got home and the bra bands were the same. It could be they loosened up the elastic a bit and/or the camo luxtreme is a bit stretchier than the plum. They also could have added a little bit extra fabric in the bust area because my chest didn't feel as pushed up as it has been in my recent Energy bras. So, I guess my answer is - maybe? (Sorry to be so lame and unhelpful.)
About hemming the Noir dress and losing the logo at the bottom, my store has always told me that they will never hem an item if it cuts off the logo. Is this true?
Has anyone out there ever been successful in hemming something at the store level, even if it meant having the logo cut off? What about if after the logo gets cut off, do they ever put a new logo back on for you? I would love to know if I have been mislead this whole time!
I bought the Refresher Dress and is definitely a size up item. It is also made in Canada. I am curious of the price of the pants in this new line, do you remember seeing it? Thanks!
I really don't get this Noir line. They have such similar stuff (bra, dress, jacket, shorts) in "regular" LLL. The dress, so what they added ribbing on the side. The pants do look a little fancy pants haha, so is it meant to be more luxe? If so, a baseball jacket doesn't cut it. You would thing the jacket would be more shawl like and loose with a belt. Anyway, I'm only interested in the pants but I think they are going to be a pass for me due to the too high waist. Not sure when I'd wear them anyway. My Still and Relaxed Fit pants are my go to pants, especially to-from yoga and when travelling (for that, those pants are indispensable!)

Did anyone try on the Noir Shorts? I can't get much from the pic that I saw on a site, but they look longer than regular Lulu shorts. What is the waistband like? Length? Are they comfy? Any info appreciated!
Lol. No that all helps. Just someone said they were back to old sizing. The black camo I got few months ago was a 8 my tts and fits like a 6 super tight. I am in canada tho! ThankYou and love your blog!!!
I am happy to see circle mesh on the bra...it means they can still produce that fabric-yay! Circle mesh is far superior to the crap mesh they've been putting out lately. (IMO)
I just came back from my local Lululemon store and was surprised that Refresher Racerback Dress was already on sale - $59 a piece (used to be $88). Probably they wanted to get rid of them before they receive the Noir dress next week...
noir bra reminds me one of my breastfeeding specialized bras. noir dress screems out: lulu has a fasion idea crisis. my credit cards, my bank and my hubby all have been really happy these days
Speaking of made in Canada.. I love my high times crops and noticed they are also made in Canada!
@7:30AM-It's her blog, she can refer to clothing how she would like. What about "girlie"? Is that offensive too? I sort of like the tank, I don't consider myself either extreme, but her description served its purpose-giving me an idea of the feel of the style. I can't imagine LLA trying to sound "hateful" when referring to a tank top.

@Jackie - the green camo energy. The black camo is way too subtle and looks like solid black unless you are in strong light.
The pants look like they could be nice (depending on how high the waist is), but the top/bra looks generic and cheap! I miss old Lulu. They need to bring back the pockets, distinctive details, and the old, thick bra pads that don't make me look deformed! Crossing my fingers that the new Stride jackets are of the old quality :). LLA, when do you think they'll be coming out?
Wow, now there's a call for tip toeing around a word such as "butch". Nothing hateful or offensive crossed my mind when I read that word and I thought it was a rather succinct description. To 11:42's point, would the opposite, "girlie" cause offense too?

Right there and check often. Only good if you happen to arrive right when a good shipment has come in. Otherwise you are better off with the sale items in the regular store.
I've had no problems having things hemmed where the logo got chopped. Lulu has always screened on a new one for me if I wanted.

Lulu outlet in kittery Maine is all stuff I have seen in past few months on wmtm. Great selection for sizes 8 and up, very little selection for smaller sizes. I've been there a handful f times, worth a trip if you're in the area but not worth traving for, IMO.
@ anon 7:56 pm - The Refresher dress has only shown up in stores to day. I am reading reports that some stores have it on markdown, too. I think the one price I read was $58 but I am not positive about that.

With the appearance of the noir dress, I'm going to assume that the refresher dress will never be uploaded to the website :(

Oh I LOVE the Noir jacket! The sheer circle mesh side panels along side the body and beneath the arms are going to be sooo sexy with various LLL bras peeking through, etc.
Can't wait to receive mine!
