Dress form fitting (hang tag also says tight fit) so it is going to be a revealing dress is you have any issues.
LLA: do you want another dance headband?!?! i bought one years ago (i think it's beachy green and aruba?) and I never wear it because it slips off my head (my head is on the smaller side. i'd be happy to sell it to you!

Hey lulu addict, your blog is unusually quiet about the mess going on with lulu. The stock cratered today. Is this company still viable or are the rumors that they are going to become underarmer soon?
I saw a article that things were not selling for them as they are making too many basics and everyone is moving to more fashionable styles. I used to like the company but now a days its such a turn off. The store staff is so desperate to make sales when I do go in.
What are some of the alternative brands you like? I have a leggings with mesh cut out from Miche which I like - they are kinda sexy - I also have a beautiful jacket and crop leggings from yogasmoga which I love - its made in the usa.
Curious Jungle Alight Bra is now online... Didn't see that on Monday... Not sure what else may have snuck up.

@runfast - I need to dig into that. I read the conference call transcript today but it was the last day of school for my kids with an elementary school graduation and other events going on so I've been unusually busy this week. I will definitely read and post about it.
My own opinion as to why their most recent quarter sales are starting off slow is that the product is not compelling. I think they left a lot of run product off the table and people are starting to ramp up training for fall races. Where are the sun/UPF tops for running? They made a bunch of cute WU prints for winter but then it hit a wall and now they've stopped. North America never got the blue tropics WAFS WUCS. Like to head design person said, the story has not been consistent. Where are all the Bruised Berry items and why isn't it hitting in a mass? The Runner Up tanks and SSs tops are super nice. We need more colors in them. They need to pay more attention to their core customer - yoga/gym and run. Where are cute tanks for the gym? The &Go is an interesting sideline, but don't leave your core customer high and dry. We churn our collections, give us new fun colors and patterns to lust over.
As for stylish other brands, if you like the femininity of lululemon then I think Kira Grace and Zobha put out nice, unique, high quality products.

Yes, def agree that the LLM story has not been consistent. The &Go collection is not compelling for me, as I'll head over to other brands like T by Alexander Wang if I'm into sporty street wear. The other brands are also really stepping up, so LLM's scarcity model could be driving more people away to viable alternatives.
I think they need to get supply chain and demand analysis in order as well. I'm based in Asia, and it's very disheartening to see that the more interesting stuff are not uploaded to the asia-pacific website. We get a morsel here or there, but not a complete collection.

yup. CJ Speeds went up Mon pm. I bought and rcvd today. Print placement is tricky. I exchanged my pair this evening at my local store, but won't remove tags until I find an even better print placement.
Interesting about the continuous downward spiral of LLL... I don't know what people normally spend on Lulu in a month, but I thought if checking myself into rehab after April. I spent almost $1000, which, for me, is not good for my family budget. May went by without a hitch. I told my hubby that if rumors were true and Bruised Berry made a comeback, that I would for sure be in troubs! So far, the only BB things that have appealed to me are the DSP, DSJ, Inner Heart Bra, and Festival Bag. Would LOVE a FTB *Wild, the Duffle, and Tuck & Flow LS. Don't know if FTBW exists yet (crossing fingers) or if we will get the others due to product going only to one worldly location.
For BB being my fav color, doesn't mean I'll buy everything made in the color if it's crappy designs. I hate swiftlies as they ride up like heck. So all those are out of the questions. In a way, I can understand the decrease in sales but in a way I'm confused as Cashew Wee Space crops, Camo (all colors), and other products can't make it a day. WMTM is sad every week. I'm still waiting for the black core kicker! Stop trying to squeeze us dry and rotate product throwing out sone bones every now and then!

Really this is the next dress they put out for this season? I mean it's nice and all but you can find the exact same style at a million stores. Come on lulu, stop being so boring. I wish they'd re-release previous dresses such as the covers it all or the heatwave maxi, those were so gorgeous.
Does anyone know if the racer dress is in canadian stores and if so what colours it came in? I'm betting black, white, and grey....no sweet summer colours.
I like the dress a lot. I think if it comes in interesting colors I will get one or 2. looks versatile.

My monthly lulu spending fluctuates between $4k and $5k. In winter it goes up again as winter items, especially jackets, are some of the most expensive pieces. I also buy lulu for my husband and I am an online-only customer. If I had access to a store, I'm sure I would buy much less.
Personally I find the dress boring. You can find similar quality for less at many other stores. You are simply paying for the LLL label. The design team needs to amp up their product. I still don't understand why North America didn't get the Marathon crop. I also find it odd that replenishment is coming out far later than original releases (camo print WUP and milky way WUC restocked recently).
Zzzzz.... I bet they are gonna make it in super safe colors like black and grey too. Bring back the Here to There dress, and make it in the Curious Jungle print!
