My store (Bellevue Square) had a ton of new stuff: movement jackets, Hottie Hot skirts and shorts, the 105 singlets and Swiftlys in the new colors, etc. I was quite excited and took a ton of stuff on to try on. (They also had a Pace Rival in white as well as the Palm Print and the striped cadet, aquamarine and cool breeze).
I have to say I really wanted to buy the Hottie Hot skirt and shorts before I tried them on. After trying on, not so much. They are shorter than Speed shorts, and the legs flare out quite a bit. I have very muscular quads, and the leg openings were huge on me. The skirt was disappointing as well. I didn't like that you can see so much of the compression shorts through the sheer panel, I wish they would have made the shorts shorter because it just looked horrible on me, very frumpy.
I didn't care for the The two new flowabunga prints online, but sometimes things look better in person. Sadly, this was not the case for me. I tried on the Runner Back SS top. It runs true to size, and I actually would have gotten it if the V neck wasn't so low. For some reason Lulu V-necks never work on me. I was happily surprised the scoop neck Swiftlys looked fine and weren't too low, I didn't need another Swiftly, though, and especially in a color I just don't love.
I ended up leaving the store with just a shirt for my BIL's birthday gift. It's always a bummer when you so optimistically take in a ton of stuff to try on, and you leave empty handed.
Oh, and the Movement jackets are a nice weight for summer, but I didn't try on as I don't need a summer jacket. I was also disappointed by the grey one (thought the stripes looked kind of faded, not sure how that will age in the wash).
The Hotty Hot skirt should be renamed the Flatty Azz skirt! Seriously! It was the most unflattering and matronly looking skirt Lulu has put out since the hideous Second Chance skirt. I tried it on yesterday, and could not believe how bad it looked on me! I'm sure it must look good on someone, but it looked horrible in every color on me. Usually Lulu makes your butt look good--this made mine look wide and flat. Bleh!
Tried on both the hotly hot skirt and shorts. Agree with both previous reviews, the skirt isn't great on the butt and the shorts are oddly baggy. Was also hoping they would come in any flat plain colors, in which case I would've still gotten one. But IMHO both the flowabunga and pretty palm look like some material lulu bought in bulk discount in Asia.
The new swiftlys have the greatest vibrant summer colors in blue and pink, left with an opal. Wish they'd bring these awesome colors to the WUCs and hotty hots!
Britts picks was very odd. In my opinion, there are certain blogs that have DEDICATED their time and effort to feedback and endorsement about product. Very strange indeed.....
I completely agree--- I was very excited to try on the new hottie hot skirt, but sadly it was very unflattering on. You wouldn't think it would be, but for some reason it made me look much larger and wider in the hips. I love the pace setter and pace rival, but this was no where near as cute or flattering
OK, so me, the sucker supreme addict, went home with both the hotty hot skirt in black, which I wanted but it sold out previously. I like that it's a simple straight cut, no flare, no pleats. In black the mesh is not as noticeable.
I got the short in the flowabunga and returned the same print in the speed. I prefer the pale pink waistband (which no one but me sees) and the plain hem at leg opening and backside to the speed's coral trim at waist, leg opening and on the back butt.
I took a 4 in the hotty hot short. I take a 6 in the speed short. Sizing down in the hotty hot short helps imho. I stuck with my TTS 6 in the hotty hot skirt.
P.S. It tired the Movement Jacket. I love lulu's french terry. The fit was very nice, altho the hood is way too big imho. The pocket ruching detail is cute...like the dance studio jacket, but I prefer zippers on my pockets. I don't really need another french terry jacket, especially if pockets have no zipper. I thought it was TTS.
Thanks for the reviews of the Hotty Hot shorts. I am interested in them but haven't visited a store to try (maybe tomorrow). I have muscular quads as well and wear speed shorts. I don't think I can go shorter than speed shorts though. Not for running anyway. I wear boogie shorts in Bikram yoga and I'm decent. I know those are considered short.
@ anon 2:42 pm - lol - for sure! I hardly ever write into Hey, Lululemon because I know this blog is being read at corporate anyway. I also find digging through the site a lot of work. Maybe I need to start so I can get a freebie. :)
Yeah, what a weird "pick" for this week. I would like to see some real sneak peeks and I am not the biggest Vinyasa fan so this one was a real yawner.
Tried on the hotty hot short as well. Not only wide leg openings, but also bubble hips (think: bubble butt except on the side over each hip).
I sized down in the movement jacket from my scuba size. My tts gapped weirdly in the back, but the size down laid flat. I got a stripe that was black and khaki/camel in a micro stripe. Not sure I've seen that color in pics yet.
agreed on the hotty hot skirt - does not look good. i really liked the weightless feeling of the hotty hot shorts. i saw on another blog hotty hot shorts in camo!!! asked the lulu ed and she looked it up and said that it exists, but is not available :(
I went into the King of Prussia, PA mall store yesterday to return an online purchase, which I have done many many times before. The educator told me that for online purchase returns to stores they are supposed to give store credit rather than refund in the original form of payment. He did give me a refund "this time" but has anyone else been told this was LLL's policy for online returns to stores?
Just have to put my 2 cents in for britt's picks. 1. How is this a sneak peak of next week's items for us lulu stalkers? 2. That vinyasa is boring yawn. 3. How bout you sneak peak some products to lla for all the work she does and listen to her comments and the comments on this blog?
Thanks for all your work I love you blog as it keeps me waaaay more educated then the "educators" in the store!
Online return would be onto the credit card, no questions asked ( within two weeks of delivery)
I would contact main lulu office and let them educate their educators
I love the hottie hot skirt and would and I am looking forward to getting another one. I have one in flare and I think it is quite flattering and very comfy for running I ran with it in the heat last week and the thing did not move and the shirts were comfy.
I like it better than the fast cat which bunches in the front. I am 5'-3" 118 to 120# very narrow hips.

Has the short sleeve heathered grey swiftly been released? I see the v-neck online, but the one in the photo looks scoop neck - which I would prefer. Keep up the good work LLA :)
@ anon 3:42 pm - My store had both the SS and LS in a scoop neck in the heathered gray color. I was really tempted by the LS but I am so overspent it isn't funny.
